Silver Sun

The name itself indicates the ideal time and season(s) for wearing: when the sun is silver. The scent itself is crisp and fruity. The pear is very prominent, really juicy and nearly palpable but not in the "eww I got perfume in my mouth!" sort of way. The flowery heart pares the sharpest edges of the opening, and the amber, cedar, and musk base (a really great trio in any composition) adds warmth and depth. Projection and longevity are on the generous side of moderate, so extra sprays won't be necessary if you're indoors, but wouldn't hurt if you're outside. The flacon could have been nicer if the silver paint was on the back of the bottle only, as was done with Black Sun, or left plain glass with the famous Dali sun as the aesthetic focus. Coating the inside of the bottle with silver paint and leaving a clear polished glass exterior would likely have been a perfect visual interpretation of the name. The atomizer is good quality and produces a perfect sized cloud for any application style. If you're tired of the same old uninspired, over-priced, over-hyped, far-too-common garbage being mass produced like Slurm for the sheeple of the world, then I suggest you don't dally and go get some Dali. - -

Ropion has been one of the best for decades. His line of work speaks for himself. He has done tons of Malle,Miyake,Armani etcc.. This is a very under the radar warm weather scents that's different and long lasting. The pear note is very consistent throughout the duration of the scent which by itself is amazing. Light lavender for freshness and water notes for the Summer vibe.. Under 25 bucks for a scent that lasts up to 6-8 hours is a no brainer. FWIW fellas, you don't have to spend 100 bucks to get compliments..

A delightful hidden gem and great value! While the notes are not too similar, this is a bargain alternative to Paco Rabanne's 1 Million Lucky if you want a fruit-forward, well-rounded, scent that DOESN'T smell like Aventus.

I'd say this is Salvador Dali's better fragrance out of their line up but unfortunately it has a weak sillage and longevity. It's a shame cause it's a great fragrance really quite attractive fruity and vibrante with really nice floral mid notes. Takes about a good 15-30 mins to build and settle, not the kind of fragrance that you get an overall impression of from just a wiff or a squrt and don't be shy with it either lather it up generously. It's good though encapsulates spring quite nicely in a bottle. The fruityness does disapate quickly though but not fully, it's an intamete fragrance so don't be expecting to make a big impression when you walk threw the door. I'd say good value for money.

A long lasting, inexpensive fresh fragrance where clear musk with darling pear are the stars of Silver Sun Dali. The bottle truly is shoddy in real life. It looks beautiful in official ads, but in real life, it's sloppily executed. It looks like a knockoff. BigBZ is spot on in his declaration that Silver Sun Dali smells like Black XS L'Exces without the metallic pineapple accord. If you like Black XS L'Exces but want to save a few bucks, go with Silver Sun Dali.

Very slight nod to Black XS L'exces, but this is less sweet and much more pear focused than the candied-metallic pineapple of the P.R. offering. Which I also owned, but ended up selling because of that very dominate note which as just too much. This is much more to my liking....sweet, transparent pear and musk is mostly what I get. Great smelling and long lasting cheapie:)

Updated: you can't go wrong with Dominique Ropion. This one is less sweet compared to Black XS. The longevity is great. Sillage is moderate. The bottle looks cheap. So sad

The bottle is cheap and not well made. Too sad for a Dali bottle. The juice is interesting thought, similar to Aventus and Black XS

Despite the suspiciously effusive description, this one looks interesting. I'd like to try this soon and hope that it's not just a pretty bottle & box where the quality of the ingredients fail to live up to its promise - much like Black Sun did for me recently.

someone please tell me, is it similiar to Charriol Charriol Men EDT ? considering they share some similiar notes, and both are created by dominique ropion... thx

reminds me of aventus - very fruity pineapple (although it's not listed) but this one smells cheaper. very good projection and longevity. try it!
