Ferragamo Red Leather

great story with this once i was in store looking for my first fragrance and one of employee showing me some choices but in my head there was only one choice in my mind to purchase an jpg fragrance (which ive purchased in future for winters) he was saying thisone is great he give me to smell it i liked it no biasness but i have a mood to purchase jpg but howsoever he convinced me to buy salvatore ferragammo ive purchased it and sprayed it for the regular days i swear it dosent perform 2-4 hrs opening was very fresh uplifting but then become some soft sandalwood and a bit leathery scent ive to keep the decant with it , from then i had an proper argument with the employee that what the fuck he has given me i needed something good and then on 3-4 times i have the same argument fom months but after i got matured and understanding fragraances i have a thing that longlastingness is not everytime the buy i understand its beautiful uplifting smell it just works to keep feeling fresh it always give a whiff i set it for maturation for 5 months and its now more gingery than citrusy which is in my opinion more good the middle of jasmine lingers around giving cool vibes and at the end after 7-8 hrs it has a prominent leather which is more dark then the previous openings and then everything changed i like this and then purchased another 2 bottles before the price hike from him.

Smells fantastic. Really, really does. But why why why why does it have to be such a poor performer? It is in the same realm as bright leather performance-wise. I wish they could have at least gotten intense leather longevity and sillage out of it (which, if i'm being honest, still isn't great). But wow. One of my fav Ferragamo offerings, save for the abysmal performance. Aromatic, smooth leather with some spices. But man...these are all overall disappointing in the performance categories. Update5/6/24: Maybe I was a bit too quick to judge the performance? Seems as though my bottle has gotten slightly better since the first couple wearings. Not dramatically so, but noticeably so. And I think that ther might be some noseblindness thrown into the mix as well, as I've gotten positive attention after the fragrance had disappeared to me.

Tested it at Sephora because I have all in this line except this and it wasn't out to Blind buy at discounters yet. I don't think it's worth retail price. It's abit synthetic and is spicy fresh with suede leather and orris/iris which gives it abit of light powdery effect. Nothing red or bold leather. Update 26/2/25 I bought a tester which wasn't expensive to add to my collection for this line. Gave it a proper wear instead of a rest spray on 25/8/24. It opens aromatic citrus spicy with iris and leather. I thought it smells better than the test last year. Slight powdery. Nothing too special or unique but it's not too bad, designer styled dna.

#1509 in my "Tour de Fragrance" If you were a fan of the 2003 classic Gucci "Pour Homme" (How could any man not be?), you'll love this. Very similar vibe, though not as floral. Definitely signature scent worthy. Long-lasting, good projection, versatile, not offensive if not over-sprayed, inexpensive. Kind of comes off like Earl Grey tea and leather. Classic scent for a formal business office, but would work as casual or date wear for mature guys past their clubbing days. A successful blind buy for me.

Nose Note #441 So far I've immensely enjoyed the whole Ferragamo collection, all 5 fragrances are great. This one is a tea-like scent, but not Imagination or Rochas Moustache or EA Green Tea way. It's confidently masculine, lasts just enough and is very easy to like and to wear. It can fit any season. It has some complexity, but not much. Citrus with soft aromatic and spicy touches. Not about leather. It's leather in vein of My Land and CH Men. 9/10, just great

This one very nice and unique, it gives the vibes of Dior Homme EDT with added leather. Really nice and masculine. Last more than 8 hours on me with 4 spray. It's fresh and can be used for date night. Don't bother about people who say this leather is bad, that is due to their disgusting skin chemistry. Oh ya don't listen to m00ze this one is woman who don't know anything about man's fragrance

Quite unique. Yes I get light iris-type leather, but there is also a touch of rose, pink pepper and chilli pepper to give it the “red” in the name and quiet a bit of pop off the skin. Not too spicy, just a bit of zing. Bit of mandarin for tang in the opening hour. Youthful and fun.

Great opening. Wonderfully blended. Very very light leather in the late drydown. Lasts a decent amount 3-4 hrs - but not much of a projector. Still, you will smell amazing. Great office scent. Super mass appealing fragrance. 10/10.

This smells awesome. It's like Prada L'homme with a mandarin orange and leather undertone. Longetivity isn't bad, it's not great, but moderate. Great office/work scent.

Hmmm this is an interesting one, I like it but it's not a love for me. This might sound weird, but it reminds me the musk of bleu noir edt from NR, but with an added sandalwood and slight leather note, like Bleu noir musk meets LNDH cardamom. This is a creamy, fresh and spicy (but a different type of spice than spicy leather from the brand) fragrance. It has an almost cumin/musk undertone that I was not expecting like what you find in the far dry down of Hero edp, it's actually pretty sexy. I can see why some would say it's like amyris from MFK, as it would be in the same type of family, although they aren't really similar. This is the third SF leather fragrance that I own (along with intense and spicy) and probably my least favorite from the 3 but I really like those other two so that's not putting this one down in anyway. This is nice and I don't regret the buy. As far as performance, it's ok, basically average with the exception of longevity which is good lasting around 7 hours. But the longevity is 1 hour projection, 2-4 hours half a foot scent bubble, the rest being close skin scent. The other two that I own project more than this one. So this is majority scent bubble and skin scent. Good fragrance at a decent price (on discounters), worth a buy, but I would sample. Edit: the more I wear this the more it climbs. As much as I like intense, profile wise it's a bit on the younger side for me. Red leather suits my age and more my style so I think I might like this better. Spicy is still the top dog though for me at least, but I don't regret Red one bit.

Ferragamo Red Leather is a citrus, spicy and leathery fragrance. Its opening is citrus, but from this phase it begins to show the leathery accord that is the basis of the entire Ferragamo Leather line. The spicy note of ginger is also noticeable. This opening phase reminded me a little of Habit Rouge and Rouge Prive, but with less intensity. About 30 minutes later the fragrance settles into a fresh spicy aroma, with some floral accords and something similar to the cardamom used in Declaration de Cartier with the addition of a fresh vetiver and a very elegant suede smell. This Red Leather version could be a fragrance for daily use, in the office, formal and even casual situations, it has a certain elegance, so I don't see it being used at the gym or sporting events. Its longevity was approximately 6 to 7 hours, with an almost low projection(sillage), it is only perceived a few centimeters from the person wearing it. I liked it, it is like a modernization of Habit Rouge style fragrances that contain citrus and aromatic notes combined with a leather accord. I don't love it because the performance could have been better. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I have at the moment. Try it on your own

I got my bottle a few days ago. This wasn’t a blind buy since I’d already sniffed it at the official Ferragamo store. To my nose, it leans more toward suede rather than straight-up leather. And the iris in this fragrance is chef’s kiss. The ginger in the opening is also very smooth and comforting. My only issue is the longevity — it doesn’t perform that well on my skin (especially when I compare it to its siblings, the Intense and Spicy versions). Or maybe I just need to give the bottle some time to macerate. Overall, it’s a nice scent, very office-friendly, and totally worth it as a daily driver. I’m also curious about who the perfumer is, though.

80% imperial leather soap 20% intense leather by the same house. I am surprised to see none link the smell to that famous soap brand from the UK but thats what it is on my skin. I find that for the first 3-4 hours the silage is arm length and after that it dies down a bit and the smell doesn't really evolve, it is what it is from start to finish other than maybe a slight delicate sandalwood hint if you get close to it.

Underrated and under appreciated hidden gem. This is such a versatile wear for any occasion in my opinion. Good for spring and summer days. Worth a try!

This suffered from the same issue bright leather has. The performance is WEAK . When you first spray it you get that ginger with the citrus notes. Once they start mixing into everything you get a cola scent that is Great! The woods start to come in the. You start getting that red leather couch scent . Unfortunately for me the cola notes real fade and it turns more into a ginger rosemary orris with the base notes. To me it does hit that red leather scent but as it fades , which is very quick it just hits the base notes with a very light spice. I sprayed this twice on both arms (4 sprays) . After about 20 minutes the intensity went away . After 45 minutes all the main. It's were gone . 90 minutes it was almost gone . If they made a small bottle and it was on sale I'd get it but for now it's a no buy for me . Scent- 8.5 Complexity - 7.0 Quality - 7.5 Performance -6.0 Bottle - 9.5 ( bottle is good but atomizer is one of the best)

Hmm...I mostly just smell crisp citrus and herbal rosemary, with leather, and maybe a little iris, at the base. It's kind of dissapointingly light on leather for a scent called Red Leather, but, that said, the citruses, bergamot and mandarin, in the top notes blend together beautifully. As much as I like the herbal edge of the rosemary, I do think it makes the whole composition smell a touch generic. I would have much preferred just an overdose of leather, but I'm also weird and have very differing tastes than the general public. Longevity and projection are pretty standard, projecting about 3 hours and lasting about 4 hours on my, frag-eating, skin.

Smells ok but synthetic and cheap like other Ferregamos I smelled. Like a used cheap car interior with a red wunderbaum in it. To me it is simply boring and supremely forgettable as a fragrance. Nothing like Prada. Nothing like Eau de Cedre Armani. Nothing like Paco. People needs nose checks left and right in this place. Ferregamo is ending up on my avoid list.

This reminded me of Armani Code Parfum, with an earl gray tea opening. Not a dupe but they gave off similar vibe and "roundedness". Not bad but not for me ( just like Armani Code Parfum).

How unremarkable a fragrance. This is the final, 7th and most mundane of my journey of the generic miniatures. This is what the color beige smells like. It's a light soapy cinnamon animalic excuse for a leather fragrance. This is safe. doesn't color outside the lines. It should be called beige pleather. On the other hand my tastes are mine only and some people will like this. I just sit in the camp where if leather is in the name...The dominant note should be leather. It's there...but buried under the soapy clean. This could be your first disappointment in a fragrance to no longer blind buy. This makes me almost enjoy the banana attrocity of Black Origami. At least it doesn't stink. It could be thrown in a locker or glove box on days when you forgot the armpit stuff and need an out. It's clean and just middl'o'road. Meh Blah...but not ick. Not getting much redness from this, it's more like a somewhat green-blue leather, with hints of Bright Leather from the same line. A throwaway flanker that most people will find pleasant in the air, but will forget about faster than you can say Red Leather. Whereas the Spicy Leather bottle is so aesthetically pleasing, I found this one (its colour scheme) quite horrendous, it's like an assault on the eyes. This whole line is just an utter disappointment to me.

So I have one bottle of Intense leather which is a bomb on my skin, incredible longevity and sillage, I love it to death. Ofc when I saw a Red version I had to test it in the shop, only to be shocked of how weak this is. Body mist would be a strong word, it's a slightly aromatic water bottle (4 puffs on my hand) and I could barely feel it within minutes. Test it before buying it. Maybe it was a bad batch?! Hope so.

This smells like shoe deodoriser or dry cleaning powder. I guess there must be something in this that I’m sensitive to because it just floods my nose with an overwhelming harsh chemical scent that I find very irritating. More suited as a room freshener than a perfume in my opinion

You can’t debate tastes. Perfumery is art. As a consumer of art, you either get it or you don’t. It totally speaks to you, says nothing at all or repulses you and it’s all fine. Art is a form of expression that stands strong even whithout any kind of external validation to back it up. Of course, fragrance houses wanna sell. So there’s always a bit of that in the back of their minds. Art with an agenda perhaps but still art no matter what. So anyway, Ferragamo is a house I totally dig. I absolutely love Uomo and Uomo Signature, two of my all-time faves. Lately, I’ve been dipping a toe into leather scent waters a bit, a note I’ve never been a fan of in the past and honestly, a fragrance like SWY Parfum made 1- a big impression on me 2- me think twice about dissing leather based frags I saw Red Leather at the drugstore a couple weeks ago and first thought the bottle design looked nice. Sprayed it on and thought the niceness extended to the fragrance itself which is kind of what you want in a fragrance (sarcasm). Add to this the fact that Ferragamo don’t go for an arm and a leg at discounters and what we got here is a fragrance I’ll be buying soon fs. I will infringe my no leather frag policy. Fck me right? What can I say? Personal tastes evolve, personal opinions evolve over time. It’s all fine my sisters and brothers in scents. Let it all be and enjoy the ride.

This fragrance is crazy powerful few sprays of it and it fills up my office great projection and longevity smells great it definitely is underrated and needs more talk nice purchase and offering from the house

I red this was a red bell pepper skin leather but I ai t getting any red or pepper vibes from this. Smells great nonetheless. Smell disappears but I have yet to see if people still sense it on me.
