Night Party

The name of this scent is misleading but the scent itself matches the notes. Iris and musk notes will deliver a powdery aura big time so I don't think it's fair to say it's "too powdery" because it's not. I think Narciso Rodriguez has proven that powdery scents work for a lot of people. Night Party is very soft but not gentle at the same time. it lingers and will have you surrounded in a pleasurable cloud. This scent is more feminine than some of you we may be used to from Samy. I support that he is not allowing himself to be stuck in a box. This is my 5th fragrance from his collection and I will continue to support this house. I did spray this on my husband and it was pleasant as well. A masculine man who is OK smelling different could pull this off as it's an unexpected surprise.

Too powdery! This smells less like "college kid at a wild party" and more like "old lady in church". I could be wrong, though...I think with Night Party he was going for that Le Male-type DNA (a fragrance which I never really cared for either, but which is still a favorite for other folks), but what he got was more like a funeral home. IMO, this needed more synthetics if it wanted to be a modern party scent, or at least more freshness -- something more along the lines of Sauvage. Instead it's got a creamy, powdery, floral vibe. Not my idea of a good time.

It's got musk and iris so of course it's gonna be powdery. Add some rose,vanilla and amber and it smells pretty much like a Golden Girls scent. Slightly fruity,slightly sweet but more powdery than anything. Too feminine IMHO to be considered unisex but to each's own.
