Malayan Tiger

Peeling an orange while snuggled up against a swath of jasmine in the midsummer sun, a rose tucked behind your ear. Opens with a bright mix of the mandarin and jasmine. After a few minutes it becomes akin to sticking your face directly into a jasmine bush, stems and leaves grounding the fluffy white florals. The rose is faint, I only picked up on it once I went looking for it and it blends effortlessly with the jasmine. The citrus calms but delightfully manages to stay the entire ride, which we all know can be near impossible to capture. About 6 hours in it has settled into a skin scent of creamsicle florals. Joyous, fresh yet warm, and invigorating. This is the first fragrance I’ve tested that has truly given me jasmine in all her glory. I’ve had a few turn bathroom cleaner on my skin and it made me wonder if I’d ever be able to enjoy the scent, which was saddening as I love the flower very much. But this has restored my hope to the point that it’s now on my full bottle wishlist.

I am in love! This is such a beautifully rounded chypre scent. I do not detect much of the mandarin or rose notes in this perfume, but instead get a very pleasant jasmine sambac fragrance with lush green notes and a slight sweetness. The dry down is exactly as described, a slightly sweet, woody scent that is rather creamy. Although it is advertised as a unisex fragrance, this is a very feminine perfume. The perfume is also quite heavy so I would be careful as to not apply too much so you don’t overwhelm the people around you! Very impressed with this blind buy and it warms my heart to know that a portion of my purchase was donated to a local tiger sanctuary.

A delightful white floral. I wouldn't call it a chypre myself. It is deeply tropical and very jasmine, patchouli, and sandalwood. Somehow it smells like tuberose, although none is listed. I love it. I love this sort of thing for hot weather. I go from my roses of June to big white florals as the summer sets in. I do not find them oppressive.

juicy mandarin, fresh jasmine, and a sweet praline. the patchouli adds a heavy greenness which i love for summer/spring time. amazing!
