Divine Lime

Edit: Unfortunately, it deteriorates into a cheap drugstore fragrance intensely powdery. There's something in its DNA that I simply can't tolerate wearing on myself. I was surprised with this for Christmas. Before that crucial first spray, I felt a bit of anxiety about how it would pair with my skin chemistry. I’ve had experiences before where a scent that felt pleasant on a tester strip turned into a suffocating, 'cheap drugstore' smell—my skin tends to behave quite strangely with perfumes. However, when I finally tried it on, I loved it. At first, it’s like a fresh, sharp spritz, and then in the first phase of the dry-down, its DNA becomes very similar to Versace Versense—at least on my skin. As the fragrance unfolds, it rounds out into a green powderiness while maintaining its citrusy freshness. There is a noticeable bitter accord, very similar to galbanum—which I adore—but in this case, it’s likely the grapefruit note pairing beautifully with the bergamot, inviting the bittersweet scent of mandarin into the mix. Fortunately, it’s not cloying and doesn’t leave a heavy sillage, yet it stays with you reliably. The longevity is also outstanding; it’s still detectable as a skin scent even after 6 hours, which is quite an impressive feat for citrusy top notes. I’ll be using it at temperatures up to 20°C, as this level of complexity can easily turn too sweet on me due to the floral heart notes. Still, it promises to be a pleasant wear across three seasons

This is pure citrus when first sprayed, but it becomes a bit more complex as it dries down. On me, it gives lime. However, this could just be a combination of the grapefruit and neroli notes. Ironically, I do think this is one of the most realistic lime fragrances I've tried. It reminds me of lovely, super fragrant, Mexican key limes. I was hoping this would be a more long-lasting version of JLo Glow, which is my favorite soapy scent. But, the musk here is really light, making it not the same. After dry down, I do get more of the floral aspects of the orange blossom and neroli, but still very few base notes. After a while, there is a musky amber that lingers along with the remnants of the citrus notes. This sits close to the skin and would be good for times when projection is unwarranted or unwanted. The lasting power is light to moderate, unsurprising for fragrance of this sort. I'd say this is a typical citrus freshy, with the exception of the grapefruit and neroli notes being perfectly balanced and somehow magically producing a great lime scent.

Divine Lime was a divine colored bottle, and a divine letdown. While the standout notes are grapefruit, mandarin, neroli, and musky amber, this has a beautiful, soft, inviting citrus scent. The major issue - longevity - 1/2 hours, if that. No silage, and no projection. For the prices of $90+ or even $80+, it is just not worth it in my collection. It's a typical biting citrus in the start and does really dry down to a nice, softer, musky, almost aquatic scent - however, it just never really goes anywhere from there. I'd rate it a 4/10, and I sent it back to the store - if it ever shows up at a discount, I would revisit it simply because the bottle is stunning, and it's not a bad scent - I would just use it like a body spray and really, really have to overspray with it.

I don't mind this although it isn't giveing me the wow factor but is wearable. I get a slight juicy lime smell but then it's overpowered by a floral smell like jasmine. Can't smell much musk which i like as I don't like musky perfumes and isn't overpowering. I will wear it buy probebely won't go for another bottle.

A pleasant but fleeting scent. I'm not willing to pay money just to catch a whiff of it a couple of times.
