Kohl Al Ayoun

I think this is a masterpiece! It may be polarizing as well. There is an animalic in here that I love but doubtless not for everyone. If you like a slightly animalic oud you might love this. Powerhouse beast mode, to me smells like a moneyed timeless feminine classic.

It's really tame (if you know oud), fresh, fruity, & aromatic; nice & easy wear. Favorite of the entire collection.

this one starts very animalic on my skin. it has a background sweetness which is indistinguishable at first, but then i get a hint of blackcurrant more strongly with background notes of amber and sandalwood. i don't get many florals here, until after 30 minutes+ i get some rose. at first it's a bit much but after awhile i kind of like it, though moreso wafting from afar than close up. close up those animalic notes are pretty intense. it takes 45 minutes or so as it changes, and at that point, i love it.

I got this as part of a Sawalef discovery package, and decided to try it first because of the decidedly mixed reviews it has gotten so far. My initial impression is that it gives off a sent of vinegar - not horrible, but totally unexpected. After almost an hour, the vinegar has gone and what's left is a surprisingly faint oud and sandalwood which would be great if only they were more pronounced. At this point, I will just say that this is a puzzling perfume. I think I will wait a few weeks and try it one or two more times before I give my final rating on this.

First Impressions: (Discovery set) Note: I was smelling a lot of perfumes at once. Sorry couldn’t help myself lol. Oof this one was definitely the worst one coming from the paper for me. First of all these notes make absolutely no sense to me together to begin with. It does smell unbalanced and sharp. It’s giving a very cheap version of something else like creed adventus or something. Oud with apple? Huh? To me this created something extremely sharp. Altho I’ll let you know how I feel about it. I loved the packaging and I was very excited for this perfume. However unfortunately I’m a bit disappointed as it just doesn’t smell nice at all. I’m not sure if it’s spoilt (it shouldn’t be as I got it from authentic seller store), but it smells like damp mold when I spray it on my clothes. I have it a few chances but it never smells right on me.
