Frankensmellie

This review is for the 4 ml edt travel sprays. I'll be adding to this as I work my way through my order. S13#916 'The Fall' Frankensmellie. It opens with a bituminous note, very resinous. This evokes the smell of asphalt, and I also am catching a slight whiff of something almost like bike tires. From there on there is more resin, but it's more like incense rather than asphalt and deep, smoky, charred wood. I don't detect any floral notes after 30 minutes, it's all about those smoky woods and burning incense right now. Overall I'm a fan, I like wood and incense notes. I'm very impressed with this olfactory tale. I just wish I could have taken the whole trip and come out with those flowers in the end. ETA: Those flowers never did come through for me even after 12+ hours. I will say the longevity was good though. I applied before work, and I could still smell traces of incense and wood before my shower this evening. S13#310 'The Yard Next Door' Frankensmellie. This one is hard for me to parse out the separate notes. It DOES smell like a wet lawn, but in a very pleasant way. It reminds me of a spring evening outside after a storm. There is definitely a green grassy smell here, like fresh cut lawn along with something almost like compost. Wet leaves and mulch maybe. For lack of a better descriptor there is also something that makes me think of wet sidewalk, like sitting out on a porch after it's rained hard. Finally, there is a floral note, to my nose it almost smells like tuberose. Very interesting fragrance, and as strange as it sounds very wearable. After an hour, the sharp green notes have mellowed into a sweeter floral, and the compost is still there as well. The evolution of this frag is very impressive.

I have #900 Original Green Patchouli and it is wonderful. This patchouli is soft earthy aroma, with a slight tang of moss. The dry-down is nice and settles into a much lighter version of the first blast. I thought it faded completely but my husband complimented me on the scent 10 hours later. So it has some staying power even if it is quite light. It reminds me of the hard-to-find Jovan Fresh Patchouli spray. I highly recommend this scent.

this is a review for S13#310 "the yard next door" -- it is absolutely gorgeous, smells like honeyed chocolate. I wish I lived next door! have to settle for buying a FB.

So I got The Fall as a bonus last time.. It wasn't even on the website anymore so I was quite surprised; what's even more surprising is the reviews though...smoky like Bois d'Ascese? Not even close. The opening is the smell of Tiger Balm--a Chinese pain relief that has 11% camphor & 10% menthol--which is something you'd apply to bruises (I see what you did there, Brent lol Apparently we have similar childhood memory). How come I'm the only one who's thrown off by it?? Blegh. Anyway, after the opening finally wears off, a very pleasant woody-incense surfaces :) Since I got a lot of samples, I'M SELLING THIS ONE (4ML) FOR $5 *U.S. only. Message me!
