Jasmine Tobacco

Jasmine tobacco opens up with a dark floral jasmine, that is more animalic than airy. It reminds me a bit of Lush Lust but not as opulent. However, once the tobacco, musk and sandalwood kicks in the perfume becomes much more darker and woody. The florals are still there but its more in the background as a supporting role. In the end this fragrance gives a very earthy vibe, as if I'm planting seeds in my garden. Some would describe the scent as an image from a horticulture. Overall, an excellent dark floral woody scent from Smell Bent but it isn't bottle worthy for me.

"an ode to LA and the dangerous beauty that is jasmine" Jasmine and Tobacco are two of my favorite notes ever, which is what attracted me to this fragrance. Honestly nothing I was expecting, given the reviews. I don't know if my skin simply just absorbs anything that touches it or what. This is an animalic jasmine + musk. No sign of tobacco, but there is an idea of tobacco floating around somewhere. It's way lighter than I had been expecting and hoping for. For the price, and if you can get it on sale, lovers of Jasmine should have no reason to pass it up. It's a soft, light, slightly animalic white floral with a dusting of musk. Nothing more complex than that. The sample size will serve me well, and honestly all things considering in regards to reviews about this company, I am relieved by how wearable this is. 6.5/10 (side note, unrelated, this is my 500th review! woohoo)

I had thought this may be just a variation of ELdO's Jasmin et Cigarette; it isn't. This is a straight up, very dirty, white floral. Indolic jasmine that reminds me of Lush Lust. This is strengthened by musk that is actually the overpowering note on my skin. Animal musk that drifts over to urine in wafts. I'd really be interested in a jasmine/tobacco blend that doesn't use musk as a base note. No tobacco to my nose. Projects like mad, probably because I wasn't enjoying it. Lasted longer than I wanted it to (about 6 hours).

Thank goodness it's not as horrifying as it sounded, although not too great either.. I was expecting a heady sweet jasmine like Lush Lust or Diptyque Essences Insensées '15 with an extra dose of musk, but turned out it was only the "idea" of jasmine (some generic floral chemical) which is neither rich or indolic; the musk actually helped the airy floral accord stay grounded, with light "tobacco" smoke adding interest. Since I got a lot of samples, I'M SELLING THIS ONE (4ML) FOR $5 *U.S. only. Message me! Fragrantica should've organized this into the Frankensmellie section so it's easier to find.
