03 - Thé au Palais Royal

Blind buy for me. For the price they’ve cut a couple of corners with the presentation unfortunately. The cap is a lightweight plastic that clicks into place, and the bottle has a label where I’d want a plaque. There is some nice fabric detailing around the atomizer though. As for the scent, it’s a high quality rendition of the “green tea” scent profile. If you like the Bvlgari, Armani, Nishane scents listed in the “similar” section this is a safe blind buy for you.

Very beautiful tea + second skin scent, but on me, goes super quickly ino the drydown powdery phase, and stays close to the skin. I wish it had a bit more long-lasting freshness and sillage to it.

03-Thé au Palais Royal by Solférino Paris is a pleasant and well composed tea fragrance, though not something I would personally reach for often. The opening has a bright citrus touch that feels fresh and uplifting without being sharp. As it settles, the tea note comes forward, soft and clean, with a slightly airy quality. The drydown reminded me quite a bit of Nishane Wūlóng Chá, smooth, relaxed, and easy to wear. While I enjoyed the scent, it leans more on the light and diffusive side. For my taste, I tend to prefer fragrances with more structure and depth, and this one stays a bit too soft and unanchored throughout. Overall, a nice, refined tea fragrance that I can appreciate, but not one I feel the need to add to my collection. Scent: 7/10 | Longevity: 6.5/10 | Projection: 6/10

Beautiful tea fragrance which shares quite a bit in common with Hérault's previous Poudre Matcha. Thé au Palais Royal is more citric and tea-forward with a green hued Oolong tea note dominating the composition, surrounded by a cloudy Jasmine. Beautifully blended, it starts with a zingy citrus then mellows to more of an earthy tea. The tea note is photorealistic and shows it's different facets throughout the wearing - radiant and earthy with a clean, slightly soapy finish. This is a soft, calming fragrance that perfectly captures the refreshing aspect of tea. Fully unisex and whilst the price is high the quality of the juice matches the presentation.

Couldn't agree more with reviewer below me. Opening is The YuLong by Armani but goes into dry down immediately and changes from that Armani scent to something very Powdery and typical of old school Perfume. Reminds me of my grandmama....but she was an OG collector so she wore 1000's of fragrances. But she had a style and this would have been her favorite I know it.
