Blueberry Violet Truffle

I'm a huge fan of the gourmands, and when I saw this collection, I had to look into it more. I'm in the UK but bought myself this (with two free samples included) as it looked mouthwatering. It is exactly what it says. Once you get past the alcohol on the dry down, you are hit with cocoa choccie delight! Then comes the violet quickly afterwards. The Blueberry comes more as a middle note and base is vanilla and powdery. It's delicious!

Basically vanilla, cocoa and violet is what everyone smells in this, it just varies which scent you find dominant. I don't smell any blueberries whatsoever, it opens up with mostly cocoa and violet and (thankfully, since I hate how cocoa always smells like VERY STALE chocolate) then soon after it's violets all along. I have a violet perfume by L'Erbolario but I find this one more amusing due to some variation in the notes.

It's a nice chocolate/ violet fragrance, but it's quite weak, both sillage and longevity wise. Also, the liquid is pretty dark and it stains. Need to be very careful with clothing when wearing this. All in all I'm not very impressed.

Gourmand. I get dried blueberries (not fresh juicy ones), a hint of lavender, and a touch of chocolate. Reminds me of the scented Strawberry Shortcake dolls I had a kid.

I was SO excited for the blueberry note. As an Alaskan I have spent many happy, hard working hours picking those little jewels. Unfortunately, not a whisper of their delicious juice was found here. This fragrance doesn't smell bad by any means, it's a very, sweet violet gourmand, but my bitter disappointment at the absence of bold berries has tainted this scent story. Decluttering! Blueberry Violet Truffle is unique. It smells like powdered baking cocoa and dried blueberries rounded by a base of vanilla. Smells deep and rich. I'm not certain I smell the violet. Anyway, It's lovely and yummy! I bought a sample pack from Solstice Scents after reading the fragrantica article the house and being very intrigued by their offerings. I like every single sample I ordered. They smell natural and some are quite unique. -

The most prominent scent to me is chocolate and blueberries. It smells like a sweet blueberry chocolate candy you would get at a candy store like in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)
