Corvin's Apple Fest

Just yummy fall goodness, after Halloween, before the holidays: warm fires, apple cider, pie and the smell of tasty baked treats with plenty of butter. This is utterly gourmand and for some reason very pleasant to lay on right before I go to bed. Dreams of sugar plums...

This is in your face apple pie. I like it for late August through early December. Very gourmand and sweet. I feel like I might like the other version that's a bit smokier more, but I haven't tried it yet. I think this would benefit from some cinnamon, nutmeg, and a dash of "leaves" or oud because it's just a tad on the too sweet side for me. It's quite pleasant for a candle or something, but on my skin, it's a bit too much. Can't complain though - it's quintessential apple festival for sure!

I didn't care for the opening apple at all, it was very Yankee candle. After about 15 min or so, the apple fades and whats left is a buttery, caramel-y pastry with just a hint of apple. My 7 year old daughter adores it. On its own it's way too sweet for me, but I think it works well to layer with other fall scents that could use a sweet/gourmand note.

You get lots of apples at the opening but they fade away after time. Surprisingly this isn’t an apple centered scent despite the name which was a bummer. It’s still really enjoyable, as vanilla takes over pretty quickly and blends with caramel notes. Dry down is a vanillic flaky pastry scent.

Green granny Smith apple with cake and a little cream for the first twenty five minutes of so. A very realistic caramel then kicks in and lingers a long time. Makes me want to lick my wrists.
