Sawmill

This is my #1 FAVORITE fragrance from Solstice Scents. I am disappointed only because I have run out and have to wait until winter to get more! The saw dust and freshly cut wood are the most dominant notes for me, but I think the pine and motor oil come through as well. It’s definitely more masculine leaning and just makes me feel like the coziest lumberjack in the land. It lasts fairly long and is great in the oil and EDP. I usually love both so my hoodies can smell like it too!

I was confused about how people were getting gourmand from these nots but now that I have the fragrance...I totally get it 😅 its so beautiful tho. My dad is a Mechanic and I grew up in the forest. This checks a lot of scent memory boxes for me. Love at first sniff.

it's okay, but not what i had imagined it to smell like at all. there's something vaguely incense-y and cigarette-y about this that i just can't shake. probably something with the motor oil. cigarette-y not even in the way that you smell one on the streets of LA at 11am and it's kind of beautiful in a way, but cigarette in the nasty scent it leaves on your clothes when you smell them the day after with that said i don't completely hate this, cause there is something about it that keeps drawing me to try it again, and i like some of the pine. but there's just something about the way these scents are balanced that never sits quite right with me! if i did not know this scent was called sawmill, i don't think the image would pop up in my head at all. i kind of like indies for their freedom to go more photorealistic, but this just doesn't get there for me. feels more hippy-ish trinket shop in northern california, not sawmill

Not safe for pregnant/nursing. WOODY/FOREST. Winter Collection. I'm realizing that I continue to be disappointed by all of the woody/forest/conifer offerings from SS. I'm not sure why but these never seem to be green and foresty enough on my skin, which means that the overall balance of these scents is always thrown out of whack. Sawmill is another example of this - on me this is almost gourmand, with the ambery coffee and motor oil coming to the forefront and an indistinguishable mix of woodiness shyly hanging back. I like it, but I would enjoy it a lot more if it were more foresty.
