Victorian Tea Room

Delightfully fresh and tart. I love kumquats! They are a citrus fruit, you eat them whole, peel and all. The peel is actually the sweet part, slightly oily and chewy, the center "fruit" is in tiny sections like an orange (but you're eating this all together) and it's juicy and super sour! Pop one in and chew it up fast! The super sour juice bursts through the toothsome rich rind and drenches your mouth while the sweet peel keeps you from flinching. It's the original Gusher or an organic Sourpatch Kid. VICTORIAN TEA ROOM catches this weird and wonderful gourmand making it wearable with both chamomile and black teas as well as a hint of rose. Personally, I could do without the rose but it works here. Perfectly unisex if citrus freshies are your style. This is a unique fragrance profile that most people have not encountered and so it will stand out from the crowd. It's very well blended, never screechy or too loud. Would make an incredible signature scent for someone! PS I find it strange that VICTORIAN TEA ROOM smells so fresh but VICTORIAN PICNIC smells so heavy. I keep mixing up the names because in my mind they're mislabeled..

My son couldn’t stop sniffing me while I was wearing this scent. He said that I smelled like fruit snacks, and guess what?! I do! On me, it’s mostly the juicy, ripe kumquat with some tea mixed in. It smells good enough to eat!

This went on like Smarties candies, hit a weird musky stage (I blame the chamomile note), and then went back to sweet oranges with a "humid" aspect to it, which I pin on the palmarosa. I wish I got more palmarosa and less amber & vanilla, because this was sweeter than I would've liked.

This is grossss. 😂 bitter, sour, musty. I should have known by the notes that this would not he for me. Not blind buy safe for sure. Definitely sample.

The opening is in indeed kind of strange and unpleasant for maybe 20 minutes or so - I'm pretty sure they're overdosing top notes making for an unpleasant experience at first so that in the drydown you still get those citruses and lighter notes along with the tea and amber even deep into the fragrance's life. It smells great once it's dried, it's just one that you have to apply a bit in advance and give it some time to breathe.

Way too sweet. I literally grew up with kumquats and this sadly doesn't smell anything like kumquats. It smells exactly like orange candies though.

wearing it for the first time and really liking it. tart and slightly sweet at first -- then very much black tea and camomile. lovely.
