Virde Redux

Fantastic & unique (in my opinion). This came as a sample when purchasing Insidious by their sister brand, Insider Parfums along with Halcyon. It's difficult for me to describe scents, but I must say I'm a daily wearer and cycle through a small handful. The days I've worn this have garnered more attention than most in my collection and I think it's suitable for daily wear. It's super clean. Definitely has a masculine vibe, but more on the mature side. A full-size bottle will, hopefully, be in my 2024 collection.

CLASSY EVERYDAY BARBERSHOP FOUGERE. I have had a big craving for this type of fragrance for most of the summer. I love old school clean soapy but easy to wear masculine fragrances and one I have been really wanting to add to my collection is New York Intense by Nicolai. Since owning this that desire to own NYI has faded! This is as lovely and easy to wear as Maison Margiela’s ‘At The Barber’s’ but this adds some more depth and longevity. It’s a brilliant everyday option for this genre.

This is the reformulated version of Virde (or Viride) when I first bought it. The reformulated version contains ambroxan and the vetiver has been replaced with geranium. The original version seemed a bit richer to my nose, the juice was darker and it felt more natural smelling and bit more old school. I actually preferred the original version to this but it’s still really nice. Full bottle worthy for sure.
