Steve McQueen Extrem

very nice for a celebrity fragrance. steve mcqueen, the king of cool, one of the biggest icon in the movie industry, he doesnt need any presentation. so, let's talk about the fragrance. first of all, the quality of the juice is very good and the smell in itself is quite unique. it opens with a friuty-woody combo, very masculine and brave. the first 30min are amazing: the pomegranate, raspberry and cloves are mixed with a slightly boozy taste, so this combination improves the macho vibe and you will get compliments for sure. no sticky sweetness here, it's very dry and bitter. after 1-1,5 hour the fruity-boozy taste slowly fades and the smell is more musky and clean in a some kind of retro syle. it's a shame because the first hour is fantastic. the performance is just ok, very good in the first hour but then is quite soft in terms of projection and sillage. the longevity is for about 5 hours, nothing amazing. this edp fits better for people over 28, for every season, maybe not summer, for casual situations and nightout. i know the fragrance is discontinued and quite rare. do i recommed this edp? yes i do, but only with a good price, dont spend crazy money on it. the smell is very good and unique, but the performance doesnt justify hundreds of euros. that's my opinion, im still very proud to have in my collection a good edp with the name of a legend. non la solita e banale fragranza delle celebrità. steve mcqueen, the king of cool, poteva avere solo un profumo particolare e da vero uomo. un mix fruttato con un'interessante note di melagrana che nella prima ora si integra con qualche goccia di liquore o qualcosa di simile. la prima ora è davvero sorprendente, poi diventa meno interessante, un muschiato pulito di altri tempi. performance meno entusiasmante considerando l'ottima apertura, lo consiglio certamente ma solo a prezzi umani, dato che questo edp è raro e fuori produzione. scent-8,5 longevity-6 sillage-6,5 versatility-7,5 uniqueness-9 presentation-7,5 compliment factor-8 back up bottle?maybe my vote-8 in one word- tough alternative- quite unique, it's difficult to find something similar...

Again a very interesting, high quality release from the Steve McQueen brand. Extrem has a fruity woody vibe which are created by the pomerganate and raspberry paring up with guaiac wood & cloves. This smell like nothing I can remember, its not similar to any other perfume. It takes time to get your head around the vibe of this one. „Mythic” is clearly about the „dirty” interplay between the pine and the red berries, while „Legend” has the clementine and musky aspect going for it, slightly reminding me of Varvatos Artisan and then Terre D’Hermés at some stage of its development. Extrem has a fruity bitterness about it which I like, just slightly sweet but rather bitter, warm and woody at the base. The smell somehow whispers "America" to me dont ask me why. Good stuff!!!

PS: in the drydown,the fruity aspects gradually fade and a 70’s, 80’ style woody, almost deo-like, slightly macho scent appears which is amazing if you think that this should actually represent the man who represents these decades. So its a perfect match in my opinion. Bravo!

review nr3: this one is the best of the Steve McQueen line with an everlasting, nice, smooth, slightly boozy, woody aroma that lingers around the entire day! Sillage and projection are perfect also, and again, it does not resemble any other fragrance! Magical!

I tested this today, along with Legend and Mystic. As the smell goes, in the first minutes You can feel the patchouli, strong i would Say. It is veery boozy, and this vibe lingers for its entire lifetime. I had a real difficulty to remember what this smells like. And then It hit me....Azzaro Acteur...its very similar. So, a Nice scent profile!
