Mistpouffer

I am surprised this scent haven't gotten more reviews, since this is my absolute favorite perfume- of all time. It really blew my mind, and so far I haven't come across anything as amazing. It has this heavy smokey scent that is central. It reminds me of my childhood summers in the Swedish island of Gotland. The fishing huts, the warm tar which the fishermen used to paint the rowboats with and the late sunset glow. Simultaneously it reminds me of a late evening dancing in vibrant Stockholm, as well as in Tel Aviv. The smokiness provides a sexy, sensual and definite sense. On my skin, the perfume brings out a warm vanilla tone, which grows by time. Usually I am not a fan of vanilla, but in the heavy wooden-smoke I find it appropriate, since it makes it more sweet and feminine. To finish with, I would very warmly recommend this unique, heavy and sensual scent. I would recommend it for evening use as well as for a hot summer day. Go buy it, for God's sake!

I love this but it's definitely going to be a polarizing scent, I don't think you could be neutral on this. It's very distinct. To me, the cypriol and vetiver come through strongly and give a bit of an insence-herbal/patchouli feel? The smokiness comes through in a balanced-sweet way. There's a lot going on here, it's a little complex. It feels sunny and cold, wet and piney. It reads masc to me. It's giving cold, snowy, sunny winter morning with the hot coals still burning from the campfire the night before. Definitely try a sample first. I wouldn't buy a whole bottle because I wouldn't wear it that often as the general public might not receive it well! I would wear it at home or on a date night.

Somehow this fragrance captures the scent of snow and smoke. It floods the senses and you feel as if you’re on a sunny mountain top and like the Finnish soldier Aimo Koivunen you could inadvertently pop an overdose of army-issued meth and traverse over 400 km on a pair of skis. The top notes of Bergamot and Immortelle are beautiful blended, producing the fresh, heady scent of wild flowers. The middle notes of pine and fig leaf give it all a spiciness made lighter by the ozonic notes. The finish is sugary and smoky, the malt clinging to all scents at once. This is a truly delightful fragrance.

This is such a unique and outstanding scent, i love it! I Have never smelled anything like this before, but still it gives a clear image to the story they made with it. Smells dark, smoky and kind of electrtic, but at the same time very clean from the pine note. The sugar and malt notes give it a yummy and grounded sweetness, without being suffocating. It really do smell like a misty thunderstorm, or something alien/ghostly which do not belong in this world. Even tho this is very unique, it is definitely a good everyday scent for an energetic confidence boost!

A smoky, sugary enigma drifting out of nowhere, like something conjured by the sea itself. Mistpouffer is sweet but never cloying, green but never sharp—a blend of opposites that feels as mysterious as the phenomenon it’s named after. Just like those unexplained booms over the water, there’s no clear explanation here. It’s haunting and a little surreal, a scent you feel as much as smell. Do I understand it? No. But that’s what pulls me in. Like a mistpouffer, it’s a sensory riddle that leaves you lingering, waiting for that next echo on the wind.

My favourite Stora Skuggan fragrance! The inspiration is mysterious and mystical, and it could've been done too literally, or too abstract, but this fragrance hits just the right spot! You can feel the slow soothing waves of the water as you hear a Immortelle scented low humming noise, sweetened incense adds to the unease. Everything in this fragrance feels like it's covered in the Silent Hill milky fog, and that's my favourite thing about it. Very artistic, and I think that it uses the Stora Skuggan medium the best out of their fragrances.

Mistpouffer by Stora Skuggan might be one of the most unique scents I’ve ever tried. It’s deep, woodsy, and comforting, like being wrapped in a thick sweater on a quiet November evening. On my skin, it takes on this beautiful cardamom-like warmth that makes it feel both mysterious and incredibly cozy. If you love Pine by Stora Skuggan but find it a bit too loud or intense, Mistpouffer is a stunning alternative. It still captures that forest atmosphere, but in a more grounded, intimate way. I can’t wait to buy a full bottle this fall!

Mistpouffer is a supernatural masterpiece that has quickly become one of my most treasured perfumes. Douglas fir and dark smoke, followed by a beautiful feathery malted sugar dry down. It remains low pitched, yet soft and spacious throughout, like a distant foghorn echoing off the horizon. Something about the fir tree and sugar combined brings to mind artisanal candy cane. Whimsical and strange, the perfect fragrance to wear during winter or summer solstice festivities.

this one is SO GOOD. something about it works incredibly well on my skin, and my friends comment every time they get a whiff while i'm wearing it. so sweet, piney, green. it reminds me of when my dad used to take me golfing when i was a kid, the smell of the clubhouse and the contrast of the air-conditioned indoors vs the blazing heat outside... a gem, a winner, so delicious. hard to name. try this on if you get a chance, the bottle really evolves on your skin.

Sugary smoke with pine/woody notes blended in. Its surprisingly fresh in the first 1-2 hours, then it goes sweet and slightly smoky. It's quite unique and different from what I've tried, friends who smelt it, find it weird but very likable. I'm liking it a lot, its making me feel both mature, yet playful, if that makes sense. Performance is good on me as well. Mistpouffer grows on me with every wear, however, its still a bit expensive.

Of the 5 Stora Skggan samples I have, I initially thought that this was one of my least favorite. That has changed now, its possibly a favorite, along with moonmilk. This starts as a fresh citrusy scent with sweetened smokey, pine & floral notes that settles to be a slightly more smokey & incense-y. I kind of like it a lot. Its like a warm complex hug. It might actually be preferred over moonmilk, cant decide.

It starts screechy, but resounds softly into the aura as it dries down. Some days I can smell the sugar, some days I can't. The description conveys something supernatural and I'm going to have to agree. Will wear this in the upcoming fall season and perhaps on Halloween itself. This is for those who have a predisposition for following the white rabbit in the woods and creeping the rest of their small town out.

A unique scent. rbalkris has detailed the scent well. I get the same interesting citrus and immortelle that is slightly sweetened..then the citrus falls away, and pine and very slight fig come in. The sweetness stays around...and it is a malted sweetness. But this is not a sweet or syrupy fragrance in spite of that. The ozonic notes give it some lightness. I see this being worn during the spring and summer.

This is one of my prized perfumes, I just love it so much! It really just takes 1 spray for me to be smelling good all day, and on me if lasts forever. I cannot explain the scent, other than it's both sweet, woody, floral, everything. I smell sugar for some reason on me. It's just compelling, and I keep smelling myself whenever I wear it. It is expensive for a 30ml bottle, so I do have to wear it sparingly.

I would say that this smells far closer to what i expected ”By the fireplace” by Masion Margiela to smell like. It evokes a vivid scene of a campside fireplace in a dense pine forest, there is a certain misty/smoky characteristic to it, but it doesn’t leave you reeking of smoke like a true campfire does. Leans masculine to my nose, but it has a northern forest charm that can be worn by anyone.

This is what you'll catch me smelling like on any given day from august to march. It's very unique, sweet and balsamic, woody, like the mist that rolls over the northern fens in Finland or elsewhere in scandinavia. It's sort of airy and the sweetness of malt sugar dances with pine and marsh tea flowers.Perfectly unisex, though leans perhaps slightly masculine on the dry-down. Lasts ALL DAY.

I’ve been super impressed by all the fragrances I’ve tried from Stora Skuggan but mistpouffer might be my favorite. It opens with a bright foresty scent with pine and citrus and quickly blends into something deeper and smokier. I cannot get over how realistic the burnt sugar note is. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous. I feel like I’m walking through a sweet and smoky fog all day.

Never smelled anything like this, immediately fell in love. It smells like stepping out of a luxurious outdoor sauna into a dense pine forest with a campfire burning down to it's coals, while looking out over a fog covered lake (take me there). I'm testing it in late summer now, but I think this scent will really shine in the colder months ahead.

The opening gives me a headache though the scent is ok. Sweet and herbal with an underlying distant fresh breeze. Drydown is warm, spicy and sweet. But not what I expected from the name. Not damp, misty or foggy, just a tiny breeze of wind with herbs and cloying sweetness. After it has become a skin scent it transforms so addicting... sniff

Beautiful! Perfect balance between feminine and masculine, warm and fresh spicy. The sugar is the dealbreaker, that will make my purchase this. I would wear this in the colder months since it is pretty woody and comforting, not of summertime personally. Lastly, the design of the bottle and cap is so special, eye catching to say the least.
