Mielfleur

A wonderful mix of beeswax, honey, savoury-spices (fenugreek, most likely) and traces of white floral added into the mix. It smells like a desi grocery, moist beeswax and a florist all rolled into one. I really like what this is, and where it's going, but that beeswax is just TOO much for me -- it's insane. It's off the charts -- if it was toned down to, like, a third of what it is, it might work for me, but as it is, in its current state, it's just too extreme. The desi spices kinda work, but they also add a 'stale' element to the scent, overall. I mean, if this kinda theme works for you and is what you go for, it's amazing, but for me, it's just too much...

I've tried about 40 or so Sultan Pasha attars and this one is up there for one of my faves. So much so, that I am considering getting a small vial of it. The beeswax/honey combo is sticky, moist and sickly vegetal, but ONLY if you smell the point of impact. What I mostly get is a spicy, nutty accord, something like fenugreek and legumey, and I LOVE IT. I have not liked a lot of these honey/beeswax scents, but this one is something special. Big fan. Big big fan...

Succulent honey ... opens full of spices, curry, paprika, at times smoky and salty with nuances of orange, almonds, mimosa, orange blossom, narcissus, osmanthus, ylang. Here the beeswax is pleasant given the cautious presence of woods means that it does not associate it with the usual furniture wax. In the background I get a good sandalwood and distinguishable tonka bean. Rather dark, in the evening, smoky, sometimes dirty and burnt which in part reminds me of chestnut honey. The bottom is smoother, warmer, amber, but doesn't change much. Honey as appetizing as a licorice, golden, culinary as soy sauce, never too sweet, full of flowers but still dark and mysterious. Indulgent and unisex.

Mielfleur starts with almondy heliotrope having cherry like powdery nuances with bitter almonds having strong nuances of cherry and a beautiful intensely rich and sweet orange blossom which is the star of the show IMO. There is also a noticeable sandalwood creaminess. After a few minutes, the signature resinous honey accord that you find in Aurum d’Angkhor, Tabacaurum and Poudre Noire appeared, along with it came the beautiful florals, I mainly detect the fruity osmanthus and the sweet floral ylang-ylang. The late drydown reveals the beautiful ambergris, along with honey, tobacco-ish immortelle, oakmoss, musks and ambery resins. One thing to note is that the performance of this oil is very strong, a tiny droplet will fill the room.

My skin drinks fragrance. It is really hard for me to find ANYTHING that can last more than 2 hours. I’m on hour four of this baby beast and it smells as powerful as most freshly-applied scents. I love it. The honey and beeswax are most prominent and exceptional. Uber-realistic. I’m not finding much floral but as soon as I took the first whiff, was immediately transported to this tiny little head shop my friends and I frequented in college. You know that smell. It’s all of the unburned incenses mixed together. The smell comforted me then and still does now. I haven’t been craving incense, not for many years. I do like this enough, however, that I’m considering one of the little half- bottles that SP does. It’s that good.

ive had my eye on this for a long time... all the notes from base to top make as much sense as a deer behind a wheel and a human in the headlights, but its so distinct and seductive sounding.. would smell a-fucking-mazing on a leather glove thats covering your face at golden hour... or maybe im a pervert...

Notes sound like nectar of the gods!!!
