Extreme Wood

Hmmm ... yes, it does resemble Aventus, but it has a few tricks of its own ... it is certainly no clone! For starters, it is immediately darker and more ambery. You do get that initial citrus blast, but it quickly moves into darker territory, with sandalwood being the first prominent, woody note. I do not really pick up the rose, but jasmine (hedione?) is certainly there, as is some smokeyness from the cedar. There is also a slight aniseedy note; slightly reminiscent of the one in Fresh Skïnd. Even the watery notes from the aforementioned are there (ambergris?). It rather quickly settles into this woody, salty and very pleasant and almost creamy scent. The opening citrus notes can still be found, but more and more in the background ... and certainly more of the zest/rind as opposed to the juice (ever so slightly bitter). I would even go so far as to say that it has a lemon marengue pie with a sprinkle or two of sea salt feel. Süs Skïnd themselves mention patchouli and maybe that is what creates that cakey feel (no chocolatey patchouli though). The price is very good and if you are OK with it not being a monster projector, I warmly recommend it! In addition to Fresh Skïnd, I also bought Black Influence, and I am starting to wonder whether the name of the brand is something of a play with words; namely Süs = French for inclusion and Skïnd = English skin ... they all sit close to the skin, so no beast mode here for those of you who want nothing else. In order to get a more decent performance, you may want to go with 2-3 sprays or layer with Iso E. I really like this one! It is like the fall (or early spring) cousin of a summer freshie
