Just got this for £9.99 for a 100ml bottle and agree with most of the reviews. Gives a sensual, calming, cozy, pleasant and aromatic sort of tea / cloves vibe, slightly musky, powdery, woody and vanillic in the dry down. Smells a lot more classy, sophisticated, expensive and most definitely unique than the price would suggest. Slightly unisex, leaning more towards masculine. Would say this can be worn during spring, autumn, winter at night for a date, in a upscale bar or even in the office. Not for clubbing though in my opinion. It's just very inoffensive, not very loud, not overly attention grabbing and there is nothing annoying or irritating about it thankfully. The scent is also slightly mature, think men and women above 25 would appreciate this scent profile more. The bottle and presentation is outstanding for the price too, could not believe how stylish the bottle looks in my collection. Would make an ideal gift as well. Negatives I would say are that when you initially spray it on your skin you get that cheap perfumer's alcohol smell for about 30 seconds before the scent develops, and you can't smell the scent from the bottle's nozzle, which brings me to the point that the scent is not very strong. I did not spray it liberally yet just a couple of sprays on my neck and on my wrists. And, I still get whiffs of it after 4 hours of wearing it, so your own nose might not get fully anosmic to it. And I can smell it perfectly fine on my wrists from close still. However, I can already tell you would need to spray it liberally on your skin (4-6 sprays) and clothing for it to project and for people to smell it on you from any sort of distance. But for the price that is absolutely understandable. Would love it if Ted Baker brought an Intense or Eau de Parfum version of this with a higher concentration. I also tried the Ted Baker CU Copper and AG Silver versions. Both smell very generic and not memorable at all compared to this one. All in all, even though I would recommend you try it yourself before buying, absolutely blind buy worthy for the £10-20 for a 100ml bottle. Solid 8/10 day to day budget friendly cheapie. Fits into any collection / rotation because it is indeed very unique. I haven't smelled Gucci Pour Homme II unfortunately but viewed some reviews on it on Youtube and would agree from those that Ted Baker AU smells like it, so this may be a decent cheap alternative. Pretty sure women would remember you if you wore this, maybe as a sophisticated, classy, intellectual nice guy who has his life together. Highly recommended!

If you’re having a hard time finding this, Alexandria Fragrances has a clone of GPHII called The Pour Homme ii and it smells identical to AU. I have both and they’re indistinguishable. Lovely bright, white floral and spicy clove. Gives me a sparkling, slightly sweet black tea vibe. Performance on me was great. Projected from hand to nose for 5 hours until I showered. If you think you’d like a brighter, white floral version of Spicebomb, this or the Alexandria will work for you.

I think this is the sexiest fragrance I've smelled this year. Unreal value for the money. I wouldn't be surprised if this will sell for hundreds in a couple years down the road, I've heard that it was discontinued. The coolest thing about it is that nobody will be able to ID it, very unique. As I am testing it, several more known fragrances pop to mind, exactly the ones listed on the "remind me of" and "also like" lists.

Great quality for the price, reminded me a little if Benz club black. A cheaply dumb reach for changing seasons day or night, the quality is far beyond its price point but performance is only mediocre. Nice for short experience and intimate interactions.

Slight spicy yet creamy woodiness, soft and warm and cozy scent. Pretty nice and has similarities to the old popular GPH II but not exactly the same. Performance is kinda weak as goes to skin scent pretty fast.

It's so nice. Perfect winter fragrance and it honestly stands out more than anything else for this category i've smelt; it's not majorly popular making it beautifully unique.

My existing bottle almost finish. It's hard to find in Malaysia nowadays. I want it badly for my second bottle.

This fragrance does its best to replicate the wonderful Gucci PHII and in the opening it doesn’t do a bad job but almost as immediately you can tell it doesn’t process anywhere near the depth. I get the zing of bergamot, the spicy clove even the floral musk and woody base of cedar all popping, maybe even slightly replicating the darkly metallic tea notes of GHII but it’s such a poor and weak imitation and sweeter too and I genuinely hate to be so reductive and bring it all down to a comparison because I like Ted Baker as a brand and desperatly want to see good perfumes from them. I even like the precious metallic concept and branding/packaging, the shiny flacons which look a bit like hip flasks, and the very wallet friendly prices but the truth is Au is weak, doesn’t last long and despite glimpsing the spirit of GPHII it’s no where near as musky, spicy or aloof.

Ah now the gold top, I thought this smelled skanky from the nozzle, I did not try it on a card as I did the other two from this line. Blegh I thought. Today I did a small skin test, it’s not as strong as the other two, but, I think that’s because I didn’t spray as much. It’s more of a skin scent I believe because of the musk and white flowers. I agree with the accords though I cannot tell individual notes per se. This is creamier than the other two, they are more oceanic fresh, and woody fresh, this one is creamy clean with cashmere soft woods and gentle clean white fleshy freshness. Imagine a clean whitelfloral (and other notes) with the clean skin ovrelayer. I will retest, but I think this is also a great scent. As with the other two, I would say unisex, and share them with the men in the house.

... standing in a queue waiting to pay for Nikes in a sports store ! .. seen this bottle , sprayed it ... boom! Instantly reminded me of Gucci pour homme ii ! ( of course it’s not going to be exact... but it’s bloody close) I’ve never smelled another scent like the bottle I had over 15 years ago and often talk about it in great fondness even recently.. I gave it a couple of sprays on my wrist and carried on with my day. Few hours later .. still smelling great so much so I drove to my local sports store and purchased two 100ml bottles .. £12.99 each?! Absolutely no brainer. Clove, vanilla, slight bergamot tickle and a smooth dry down to a warm creamy skin note .. made an older ish man happy!

Gucci Pour Homme II without the tea note, this one is pure cloves, it is really nice, very well blended, but cloves always remind me of toothache, so it isn't one I would wear to feel fresh or invigorated. Longevity is fair to good, and the bottle is lovely, it projects well. If you like cloves you'll love it. It's not for me, but it's an excellent fragrance.

I picture the notes in this perfume clashing, but some how it all works. I enjoy this scent! The comparisons to Gucci II are accurate. Although it's not a clone or exactly the same. You can smell the similarities! There is also something in here that reminds me of Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott. The sneaker bottle with the wings.

Love the opening and top notes of this fragrance and in the first 30 minutes to an hour it smells great. What let's this one down from being a fragrance i would purchase again is that it has terrible performance. It's like a delicate weaker performance of spicebomb. 3.5/5 for this one.

I have both the glass bottle and the metal decanter versions, and yes they are nicely pleasant, spicy/cardamon but do not linger all that well. Edit: correction, I believe the smell is closer to cloves than cardamon..

Perfect cheap winter fragrance, great for its value, definitely seeing the notes, top notch fragrance for its time! So underrated for no reason.

I first smelt this one back in February, and I was immediately reminded of another fragrance: Gucci Pour Homme II. There haven't been many other occassions where I smelt a fragrance that smells this similar to another. This is right up there with Cuba Gold/JPG LeMale, Creed Green Irish Tweed/Cool Waters/Bond No.9 Chez Bond, and Joop ph/Creed Original Santal. If you like Gucci PH II, this is worth checking out. It's smooth. A little spicy. But cool, and warm, interestingly. It's worth buying if you can find it at a decent price. I would definitely try GPH II in addition to this one tho. They're pretty much interchangeable.

I couldn't put my nose on it, I knew I smelled it before, I knew it was similar to something, and then it hit me... yes it smells a lot like spicebomb. Is very nice but for an extra 20 bucks you might as well get the spicebomb.

A very good blend for it's price point- however I believe the floral notes feel extremely forced at first; and do not mix with the warm spicy sweet favour very well until a couple hours later.
