Black Widow

Black Widow by DUA is a boozy dark gourmand fragrance that is nearly Identical to the Killian's sample I got. I bought a sample pack last year with Angels Share Apple Brandy on the rocks and Black Phantom and I have been collecting DUAs versions ever since. This is incredibly well crafted and starts out with a boozy rum that's complimented by a chocolate note and a coffee note hiding behind the dark chocolate which makes the coffee sweet. Then the mid hits with sum heliotrope with almond and pretty quickly there's sum caramel mixing in with it maintaining the sweetness all the way thru the life of the fragrance. Then the dry down comes in settling kinda close to the skin maybe 8-12in of projection now, which isn't terrible. You now have tho that sugarcane note keeping the sweetness alive along with the vetiver plus sandalwood for a creamy sweet and a touch earthy of a final dry down.

Pretty much Black Phantom by Killian 1:1. My batch is not that boozy but I prefer that. Beast mode in terms of longevity, but not in projection. (Still on my skin after 18 hours and a shower, faintly, but still there.) This shines by having a great sillage that follows you around forever. Seems to be an extrait, it is very concentrated. Great if you love gourmands but want something a bit more challenging, I'd recommend the 100mL of this over the original simply because it is just almost a perfect clone that performs way better and costs a bit less (better price per mL). If you're a collector and love clones, i recommed Phantom My Hero by Emper, it smells quite synthetic compared to the Dua but is way cheaper and the bottle is phenomenal, just be aware that the quality is not as good, although that one projects like a beast.

Wearing this today. I don't have Black Phantom, but this is very very nice. Great strength and sillage. Strong on the rum, dark chocolate, and bitter coffee - this is DARK, much like I've read the original is. There is definitely caramel there, so it's firmly in the gourmand camp, but this is gentleman's club territory - there's no tobacco note listed but the rum, dark chocolate, coffee and woods give it a definite "cigar club" vibe! I'm a lady and it pairs nicely with a tailored suit. I'm sure it would smell dynamite on a man.
