Herbs & Sea Salt

Dua Herbs and Sea Salt smells fresh like nature with hints of herbs and the clean scent of sea salt. It's a nice, refreshing fragrance for anyone who likes the smell of the salt.

Herbs & Sea Salt is a Dua inspired expression of Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, one of that brand’s more pleasant offerings with dreadful performance, which this Dua version improves on significantly. The scent is a freshie with aquatic, aromatic, green, and herbal qualities, with a simple note breakdown of ambrette seeds, sea salt, and sage. For me, there’s a watery quality with vegetation, but smoothly blended in with a vaguely spicy, aromatic background. It’s not among my favorite Dua freshies, which tend to be original creations, anyway, but it’s a nice recreation with quite good performance for a summer freshie. 7 out of 10

First and probably last fragrance I buy from Dua. I sampled Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt recently and I can say that the Dua brand smells extremely similar, if not identical to Jo Malone. However, the longevity and projection on this fragrance isn't the best. It's a skin scent after the first hour. I enjoy the scent but it's almost as if i haven't applied a fragrance after 3 hours of wearing this. It does last long on clothes, but on bare skin it struggles to perform. The fragrance itself is very oily. It is an extrait de parfum. When I spray this it leaves a noticeably oily texture and sometimes it's visually noticeable as well. Not fun to have on your neck or any other pulse points. Great scent, lackluster performance and sillage. Bottle has a good atomizer. Would recommend it over Jo Malone, but only because of the price difference.

This is extremely similar to the original, but I like the original better. Dua's version is heavier on salt and lighter on sage. Overall, Jo Malone's original feels more refined. Dua's performance and longevity is better, it is definitely stronger, to the point where it becomes a bit much.
