Passionately Dolce

Before I waste anyone's time, let me admit that I have not tried Dolce Passione, so I cannot tell if this is an accurate dupe or not. If you are still here, here are my impressions of Passionately Dolce: This is yet another blind buy burn. And I know Dua Fragrances gets slammed for this often, but as someone who has bought scents from all different retailers and generally dislikes most of the major perfume ingredients on the American market— and European one, apparently— this is far from unique to Dua. This would be a beautiful perfume if only it did not have such a strong musk note that I find so unpleasant, even though it is surrounded by a beautiful syrupy chocolate in the opening. There is some plum and maybe honey here and there, especially in the top notes, but mainly I detect the burst of chocolate in the opening with some strawberry and a very strong musk with possible truffle, then it dries down just musk with stewed strawberry. It is not a "bad" fragrance, per se, but still not for me. That musk is just too intense and happens to be the exact kind I detest. If the idea of a strawberry musk fragrance with a syrupy chocolate opening sounds good to you, you'll probably enjoy this. Otherwise, I do not recommend it. Overall it's a 5/10 for me.
