Water of Arabia

Water of Arabia is AMAZING! When smelling it from the bottle as well as on the paper strip, it smells almost identical to Creed's Silver Mountain Water. When sprayed on my skin, the fragrance has the same DNA as SMW but at the same time it is its own animal, and IMO even better! It's much stronger yet fresher, if that makes any sense. In other words, its a very loud freshie and it is so damn good. The opening is to die for. On my skin, I get a very zesty opening that is a little spicy as the bergamot is turned way up and beautifully rounded out by the sweet mandarin, giving off a citrus-sweet accord that is refreshing. This lasts a minute or two. I get the feeling of walking through a waterfall in the hot summer upon first spray. As the citruses tone down, black currant and green tea start to emerge and the combination gives off a slightly boozy, inky, citrus-sweet accord that is breathtaking. I can't go out in public during this time because my face is glued to my wrist. This is my favorite part of SMW and DUA's WoA delivers that same experience in a more satisfying way. For me, it's everything I love about SMW emphasized 10-fold. In the dry down, the citruses move way in the background but remain in the composition, never completely gone, and keeping the fragrance fresh until the end! A good dose of creamy sandalwood and a hint of vanilla, perhaps from the black currant, are noticeable for the remaining of it's lifetime. I get a good 8-10 hours on my skin with only 2 sprays with beast projection in the first 2 hours, arm-length for the next 3-4, then skin scent. Silage is enormous. By the way, this is a great acquisition if you like SMW. Sure there are clones out there around the same price or even cheaper, but you will not get the same performance nor quality ingredients that you get with DUA. Even though the bottle is only 30ml (1oz), it really is more like a 75ml (1.7oz) minimum due to the concentration..you'll need less sprays, which means the bottle will last you just as long as a bigger bottle, if not longer. Also, IMO this is the best take on SMW that I've tried to-date. oh yeah... 10/10!

Another successful blind-buy from this house! Of my 5 purchases, 4 have been absolute stunners for me personally and one is likable. Really good quality and great overall performance from all that I've tried. Water of Arabia is definitely very similar to Creed Silver Mtn Water, i do believe by design. And, in my opinion, it comes very very close. Comparisons aside, this stuff is crisp and dry, like a gin & tonic for the nose. The orange is certainly noticeable and goes so nicely with the sandalwood, it's ridiculous. My only gripe is that SMW has a better tea note and also has that infamous salty Creed base which are hard to top for fans. ...and it's not even really a "gripe" , per se, just being as fully honest as i can. I love this fragrance. Easily a 8.5 out of 10 for me.

This has been my signature scent for a while now and I make sure to have a backup bottle. I think SMW was Creed's attempt at creating a unisex flower without calling it a flower so as not to lose the male market, so Dua decided to enhance this concept by making it even more floral-forward while still not losing its unisex quality. It opens with quite sharp mandarin due to the extrait concentration then dries down into an abstract fresh, crowd pleasing, unique blend of flowers, all with that fun inky twist. As I'm going about my day I sometimes get whiffs of a lush tea rose, sometimes freesia, sometimes a clean fruity feel, but always with that comforting tea aspect. I wear it all year round, especially at work.

I love this. It's about 90% of SMW. Like others have said, SMW has a lovely tea note and the traditional Creed drydown. I do miss not having those elements, but they're a small sacrifice for what you get back in both value for money and performance. If SMW performed better I wouldn't bother with this but 4 hours max on my skin and I can't justify the price

Dua Fragrances' Water of Arabia is said to bear a close resemblance to Creed Silver Mountain Water and I've now worn Aater of Arabia several times with that in mind, as with many Creed freshies, one would look for a more robust rendition, performance-wise (I very much like but don't get outstanding / all-day performance out of SMW, Aventus, GIT, Himalaya, Bois de Cedrat, etc.). My experience of WOA is very similar to SMW in some areas but is distinguishable in other areas. The use of bergamot is heavy-handed in both, but the tea is much less significant in WOA than SMW. WOA is overall a fruitier, heavier experience, and SMW is the lighter, fresher experience. In this vein, WOA is not a clone of SMW by any means, but an interesting similar expression in its own right. It surely smells like SMW, particular in the later day down that is less citrus-intensive (for both), but otherwise, the experiences of smelling the two are different enough that no one familiar with both would mistake one for the either. This isn't like the Armaf CDNIM vs Aventus level of similarity. WOA's performance surpasses SMW in both projection and longevity, though, so if you're looking for something similar and more powerful than SMW, WOA might be just what the doctor ordered. And of course at $45 for a 30ml extrait (with other discounts usually floating around), this is a steal. A very nice fragrance, especially for warm weather wear. 7 out of 10

This does remind me a lot of SMW. I would call it very close. The performance is pretty good. I would say it projects for a good 4 hours and then sits close to the skin for a long while. I could still smell it on my shirt 12 hours later.

DUA is a just a clone house. presentation is sold in decanter bottles. very cheap looking. Scent does a great job of "inspired by" but not like the real thing and much more oil content in these. for the price DUA sells it at, their "retail price" you'd better off just buy the full presentation of the real fragrances. If you get it at discounted prices it can be worth it. Not worth what they ask at retail

If this is supposed to be a clone of smw it's fails. Where the original is a fresh green scent this is a heavy, musky mush of notes. No sparkle no freshness.

Waters of Arabia is supposed to be an interpretation of Silver Mountain Water, but it does its own thing, really. There's no ambergris, no petitgrain, no galbanum, no inky accord, but in all honesty, this scent is fantastic. I actually love this one on its own, it's basically just Mandarin, Blackcurrant, Tea, and creamy sandalwood with a hint of rose. It's a lot closer to Al Wisam Day, but much more refined without the wet sponge smell. I'm actually very impressed with this one as the quality itself surpasses Alexandria Fragrances, as their interpretation of SMW is just simply trash. I might need to try a few more DUA fragrances. This is an all season, juice, and one that now has a place on my shelf.

I own this. And in spite of whatever “hate” you may hear about the scent quality or value, forget all that! My bottle of Water of Arabia arrived last week and it smells phenomenal! At an extrait concentration, the scent oil content is rich and vibrant. And the scent is absolutely gorgeous. Dua has sales all the time, catch one and you can grab this for around $40-45, which makes this an insane value. No, the bottle isn’t extravagant or anything, but what’s inside is incredibly lovely.

I love this fragrance, I'm not familiar with the Creed Fragrances, so my purchase was based purely because I like it. I got the citrus right away which I love, it works great on my skin, and I get great longevity from it.

For this particular scent, it's not worth it—go for Club de Nuit Sillage!
