Golden Hour

Golden hour is beautiful. At first spray I get fizzy alcoholic mango and sweet berries. The fizz flattens but the berries and mango remain, leaving a tropical cloud. I think some coconut and sandalwood show up later but it is very much in the back. It is well blended, and remains pretty close to the skin for me. I do overspray and do get compliments but i wish it was stronger, although maybe if it was stronger, it wouldn't smell the same. I do love it. In comparison to other similar fruity fragrances, this one leans more tropical/ berry where as others lean more on the citrus side. I have not smelt a better mango scent yet. it's perfect. It is mature, sweet and sexy. I am already considering a back up. Update: I did buy a back up (love it) and apparently it is a beast, I just don't smell it.

The opening is all about mango and citrus. It's fresh, sweet and almost smells like sour candy for the first few minutes. In a good way. It reminds me of a mango ice pop with mixed berries and other tropical fruits rather than just mango on its own. As it settles, the candy-like sweetness calms down. The fragrance becomes creamier, but in a very clean way. I'm guessing the sandalwood and cedar help create that feeling, but I'm not completely sure. The mango is still there, although it feels a little greener now, blended with the berries. It stays fruity and mango-forward without becoming overly sweet or heavy. This feels bright, playful and really easy to enjoy. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ It's a lovely mango-and-berry fragrance with just enough woodiness to keep it feeling elegant and fresh.

I love Golden hour and I don't really get the Erba Pura comparison! While they share a fruity opening, they have completely different personalities. Erba Pura stays loud and intensely vibrant with its signature powerful woodamber base. Golden Hour, on the other hand, opens up wonderfully juicy and quickly turns into a creamy dream! Sandalwood and cedarwood blend in perfectly, giving the fruits a cozy, elegant hug. The dry down is pure magic—so smooth and leaves an elegant silky trail. I absolutely love this scent! 💛✨

Here is what this smells like to me: upon initial spray, I get a realistic fruity blast of mango and lemon. It has that same bright opening as Erba Pura. Really. This is not exactly what I expected. Swap out the fruits from EP with mango and you have Golden Hour. Between Sospiro and Xerjoff, I have plenty of this DNA, but I am keeping this because the mango note is very true, and a colorful addition to my collection. If you did not care for EP or Erba Gold, please sample first and don’t blind buy. Also, this is very strong, so please go lightly on the sprays.

I am just so tired of the Erba Pura DNA... I have loved Erba Pura since the day it was released, but there are just so many dupes or similar "flankers" based on the same DNA that it's oversaturated. Great mango note. btw.

This starts out with a tart juicy yet punchy mango at the top. I have too many mango fragrances but none of them smell like this mango. It then dies down but never fully leaves the party. To my nose something similar rum comes to play, at this point it reminds me of carioca heart but with mango, still not redundant if you had either of them. Lastly there's a musk that is reminiscent of Erba Pura and tiziana terenzi but toned way down so that it floats like a cloud in the background. Very interesting fragrance. I love ones that have a journey and story to tell. I'm calling it moderate wearing. I've not had it long enough to judge if it's beast mode or not but my initial thoughts are that it is not. It does get the job done in terms of a scent trail.

Stunning juicy mango fruity blast in the opening. Stays fresh and juicy on my skin. Like a tropical vacation. I detect a hint of sandalwood which grounds the fruitiness. Going strong for hours!
