Naked

I really love this fragrance for when I'm wanting to wear a soft, skin scent. People compare it to Glossier You but I honestly like it more than Glossier You and I think it definitely has it's own identity. This scent is addicting, I just want to keep smelling myself. And it does have a small cloud around me where I get whiffs throughout the day. It fades after about 4 hours but I could still smell it if I put my nose right up to my wrist at the end of the day. I've smelled and worn Skin by Clean, 11:11 by Lake and Sky, You by Glossier, Missing Person by Phlur, etc and Naked by The Maker is my current favorite. To me, it's the most intentionally and delicately blended of the bunch. I just find it unique, addictive, and special.

I really love this scent. It is mysterious, light and inviting. I think of a light mauve or pink color as I smell it. It’s a delightful, steady hum throughout the day. Upon first spray, I see why it’s labeled “powdery,” while not the most pleasant part of the perfume, it reminds me of the latex glove smell at the dentist office. I’m not sure why I still love it so much even with that aspect of it. I just keep wanting to hug myself and go within. I think it’s got great projection and staying power for what it is — something to wear casually any day at any time.

I sprayed this on my arm and, as I was waiting for it to dry down, I was hit with immediate nostalgia. There is an unmistakable similarity to the sadly discontinued Gucci II. I still have a small amount left of that in my cabinet and, sure enough, they are similar. I’m not sure what it could be as the notes listed on fragrantica don’t match—I also remember Gucci II having a pink pepper note (which isn’t listed on fragrantica but is there in the fragrance.) Anyway—I don’t know what the hate is here—this is so beautiful and I’m going to be needing a full size.

Agree with the below comment- no pickles here, just ambery leathery orris. (Side note: I am one of those people who smell pickles with Santal 33 for example, but definitely not with this one). I thought it was underwhelming at first, but the more the smell lingered on my wrist, the more I liked it. It’s chalky, dry, and vegetal. It reminds me a lot of M01 + Iris , except this one is a bit brighter and spicier. If you’re a skin scent lover and an orris lover, this one’s for you.

Smells like a department store on first sniff. Then, I started thinking about expensive hardcover books, clean skin, and sitting close to someone with my heartbeat going crazy. It's nice and familiar in a way that's pretty indescribable - nondescript, inoffensive. The dry-down is the best part: a sweet musk. It's hard to pick out separate notes. The more I smell the more I fall in love... I splurged on the discovery set and this is my clear favorite of the bunch.
