Midnight Orchid

There are a very mixed bag of reviews for this one, but personally I love it! I can't honestly say I detect orchid.. nor do I really know what orchid smells like.. but I do know orange blossom, vanilla, caramel and sandalwood, and those are the heart and length of this one on me. It is a gorgeous and very sensual and this particular blend actually very different from anything else I own. About the only time I think this would not be so suitable would be a very hot summer day, but apart from that its is an easy all rounder for me.

Ok Jesus Christ, the opening of this one is HORRENDOUS, as in it absolutely reeeeeks of cat p*ss. Casually tried one wrist spray before the usual trip to ASDA on Sunday morning for the weekly shop, and left the house immediately. Travelling there in the car I became aware of an aroma and was just exclaiming to my BF that one of the lil shit-bags (cats) must've randomly peed on my clothes, (somehow - despite never doing this before - sorry babies for blaming you haha) when I suddenly twigged that it was this perfume wafting from my wrist. As a cat lover and a woman of 30 who's always had at least 2 cats lemme tell you now that smell is unmistakable and its 100% in this fragrance. It did dissipate after an hour or so and becomes a nice warm incense smell - however you have to be willing and ready to smell like a litter tray for 1 hour first... that's a bit of a steep price to pay lol. Disclaimer- I tried this full sample set to give a cheaper, UK based brand a chance, some were good, some were bad, most were meh but worth a try nonetheless.

This is not a nice perfume which is odd considering the notes list is so promising. I'm really not sure what they did in this perfume to produce this weird concoction of smells. It smells cheap, like bad off-brand fake tan. It's the sort of thing a girl in secondary school would spray too much of and make the back row of the class cough.

Powdery white floral opening, quite sweet. Very typical dry floral perfume. Dries down to a sweet but musky base note with orchid still present, longevity poor 4/10, needs something to make it stand out amongst similar gentle fragrances.

This one was honestly terrible. Not sure if I'm just anosmic, but after five minutes I couldn't smell anything at all. The scent itself is a cheap, hairspray type fragrance, so it's not worth overspraying.
