Adhara

I love the opening for this one. It’s so strange but what I get is a super mentholated tobacco with something has an aquatic/salty accord to it. That menthol/mint note is super strong upon initial spray and I actually like it as much as the dry down. It almost feels like there’s a watery fruit accord to it which I usually hate but I don’t mind here. As it dries the warmer facets shine through and I notice more white florals coming through, the menthol accord dissipates fairly quickly which is disappointing however I do like the direction it goes in. By the dry down it goes very musky and semi aquatic which I’m guessing comes from the ambergris accord. It seems to have average longevity and can definitely be an everyday perfume. So pretty and feminine. I think this perfume confirmed to me I love almost every facet of tobacco notes. This will definitely come with me on holiday and in hot temperatures ( I loved wearing Adhara this summer). The longevity needs to be tested because upon first spray it faded quite quickly but I will say I had sprayed a lot of perfumes and had gone nose blind by that point. I sprayed it around 7ish approx and it’s still hanging in quite well. It doesn’t project much but the longevity seems to be there. 8/10 Update: While having a wear test the first spray is like aboniki or those vick balms in a good way. It’s accompanied by an aquatic melon like sweet accord and something the feels musky/vanillic and like almonds. It’s a really interesting scent and sometimes when I’m bored/unstimulated/needing a pick me up I give this one a spray.

A bit of a kitchen sink floral gourmand misfire from the always interesting Tiziana Terenzi. The scent has a brief opening of citrus, tobacco and sugary notes before going into a firmly floral heart of tuberose, lily and other white florals. The perfume settles on a bed of vanilla and patchouli with hints of oud and ambergris. The feminine leaning scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. It is pleasant and natural smelling but it’s all been done before and better. Enjoy!
