Maritime Journey

I absolutely love this scent, although being an EDC and the same price as other designer EDTs or some EDTs, longevity is disappointing. The smell is amazing though!

This is sort of the cologne that started my cologne journey. Bought at a discounter, told them my favorite at the time was aqua di gio or however it’s spelled, always preferred more fresh and aquatic scents. Smelled this on paper and enjoyed it. It’s a relatively musky aqua scent, not too musky but still very fresh. A more sharp shower gel smell. Smells good though, gf liked the smell of it too. It’s a very clean smell, like a muskier nautica voyage (a cologne I like over this). If you can get it around $20 that’s the best value anything more is meh for what you get. Tommy B colognes just have weak performance but solid scents that are overpriced. I wouldn’t pay $70 for this. Def a summer scent, boat type vibes. Wish the silage and longevity were longer. Decent anytime cologne though, but it’ll perform better in warm weather, still can dress up and wear it though.

Soapy freshie on the sweet side of things. I like to spray this on prior to going to the gym and will reach for it, if I want to freshen up to run some errands. Typical EDC use cases, you know? :) Bottle is cool. I prefer this over Voyage for sure. I see the 200ML going for less than $40 at a certain discounter right now. Good value.

Very clean summer scent. A soft opening with apple into woody notes that really blossom in warm/hot weather. The projection of this fragrance is dependent on the temperature. This won't project well in an office setting but is fantastic for a day out. I get at least six hours of this, with sometimes up to eight.

It’s pretty calm it’s obviously a summer fragrance or a hotter weather one and it’s not very loud but it’s very clean and not all too crazy. I smell a kind of YSL Y DNA in this and it’s kinda like that but slightly more woody and less stronger. Pretty good for the price i’d say it’s a 9/10.

A solid fresh fragrance for the summer and spring. However, I would never spend more than 40 dollars on this fragrance, instead go with Nautica Voyage which is long-lasting and can be worn all seasons in my opinion. It's also 20 dollars for a 100ml bottle and is a soapy fresh fragrance.

Initially, I felt it was just a generic scent of a designer. However, after several uses, I would say It is worth the $20. Great blind buy!

I blind bought it at a rack store out of curiosity. Quite nice. I enjoy having it for the sake of variety in my blue fragrance choices.

Soapy, post shower summer cheapie. I got a large and small bottle plus a deodorant spray for $30🤓. Meh

Smells nice but it’s extremely weak and wears off on me within an hour, even if I overspray.

When considering a Tommy Bahama fragrance, expect to be transported straight to the tropics. These scents are made for vacation vibes, summer heat, and relaxed moments. They're best worn with shorts or linen, barefoot on the beach, or while out on a fishing boat. Their ideal setting? An outdoor bar or dock—definitely not a boardroom or crowded city street. Tommy Bahama is not meant to be paired with a tie. Only by embracing this mindset can you fully appreciate what these fragrances offer. At the time of this review, Tommy Bahama offers a 1oz sampler set featuring Maritime for Men, Maritime Voyage, and Maritime Journey. I felt compelled to compare the three based on my personal experience and replicate the same comparison review for each scent. I first encountered Maritime for Men at a department store and was immediately intrigued. The salty top notes and fresh aquatic vibe made me think I had found my new summer signature. However, a major drawback with all of these fragrances is that they are colognes, and their performance often doesn't match that of other scents in a similar price range. Knowing that department store prices for designer fragrances are usually inflated, I chose to purchase online and opted for the three-bottle sampler set. On first spray, the top notes of each delivered exactly what I expected. However, after 30 minutes, any projection had faded significantly, leaving only a close-to-the-skin scent. This was consistent across all three bottles. That said, fragrance performance can vary by skin chemistry—your experience might be different, and you may enjoy longer-lasting results. Though they share a similar DNA, each of the three flankers offers a slightly different take: Maritime for Men is the most balanced of the trio. It opens with a fresh and slightly spicy note, transitions to a soft aquatic heart, and dries down to a woody, clean musk. It's casual, clean, and easygoing—perfect for a day at the beach or laid-back summer wear. Maritime Voyage is the crispest and most youthful. Bright green apple and lemon give the opening a zesty, energetic feel. It smells like a cool ocean breeze with a fruity twist. This one is playful and often compared to other mass-appealing fresh scents like Nautica Voyage, though I find it smoother and more refined. Maritime Journey is deeper, spicier, and has more aromatic character. Cardamom and juniper add maturity and depth, making it slightly more suited for evening wear or transitional seasons. It’s less bright than Voyage but stays true to the fresh, nautical theme. I genuinely love the scent of each one at first spray, which only makes the quick fade more disappointing. All three scents are similar however when directly compared they are distinct. Choose Maritime for Men if you’re looking for a balanced, fresh aquatic scent with woody undertones. Choose Maritime Voyage if you prefer bright, citrus-forward fragrances with broad appeal and a slightly better projection. Choose Maritime Journey if you want a fresh scent with a bit more depth, spice, and personality. I’m looking forward to testing these on 90-degree days to see if heat helps with longevity. Before the dry down, each one ranks very high in my preferences. I truly enjoy these fragrances, but it’s difficult to recommend something that disappears so quickly.

Maritime Journey is a Spring/Summer Fragrance. I was excited about the top notes Green Apple, Cardamon and Lavender but end up being a little disappointed with overall opening a bit too chemical not sure if the violet plays a role on this. I like to smell myself but this fragrance is in the same vein as Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue where you should never smell where the fragrance is applied cause it can smell pretty harsh and of course very synthetic, but the beautiful bubble created around you can be smelled by others and it is quite enjoyable. I received from "My Yellow Diamond" this fragrance as a gift set with the other fragrances on the line, the OG Maritime and Deep Blue, and to my nose this one ranks 3rd on the line-up with Deep Blue being 1st. Longevity - 2-3 hours to expect of a summer fragrance must re-apply. Sillage - arm's length for about 1 hour turning into a skin scent afterwards. Likeability - 7/10 (crowd pleaser) I am probably using this in the highest of heat during summer or give it to my buddy Wade so I can smell the bubble around him.

First, Tommy Bahama makes some of the best themed bottles in the fragrance industry. Their Maritime line bottles really conjure up the sailing spirt with their rope wrapped steel cleats anchored to a wood base sitting atop the blue liquid contained in each bottle. Beautiful. However, I find all three fragrances I've purchased to be a bit dull. The apple note is noticeable at first spray but quickly diminishes, as does the lavender that follows. What remains is a not too sweet aquatic note that is really lack luster. Within a few hours it is gone as well. This is a safe buy and good during most warm spring and summer days. It won't generate compliments but it won't generate complaints either. Still, the bottle looks great on the dresser!

Maritime Journey gave me a surprise at the first spritz. I got a slightly fruity, slightly sweet version of Fierce or Legend EdP or Skulls & Roses. Sorta the beachy/tropical version of those fragrances. Different than those three, Journey seemed more synthetic, especially in the dry down. Less woody at that point as well. Overall, a pleasant take on that kind of scent. Performance is significantly weaker than the last two I mentioned, but remember this is a cologne ( as is Fierce). I have Journey in a tiny bottle, but would never buy it again. Rather, I'd just go with Legend EdP or Skulls & Roses as they are more substantial.

Clean, modern, and invigorating. Crisp green apples and pepper are prominent up top. It's very light and dry with an ozonic airiness from the violet. I get the impression they were trying to go for a salty marine accord with the top and middle notes. As it dries down, the wood and moss take over and create a clean and attractive woody base. It's light and masculine. Overall, a good fragrance. The scent is unique enough to set it apart from most blue/aquatics today, making it a bit more interesting.

This is a nice freshie without citrus so it’s a very all purpose scent I’d say. But it goes pretty generic within an hour. With the cardamom and woods it somewhat reminds me of Versace man eau fraiche but the latter is one of my true summer favorites so I would not buy this.

Nice yet basic aquatic fresh scent. If you have smelled any aquatic blue scent you have smelled this one. I do really enjoy the bottle though. The boat motif on this bottle and the others in this line is really cool. Plus the use of wood in a bottle is not super common.

#214 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Maritime Journey - The Shortest trip You'll Ever Take We can all agree Tommy Bahama has the coolest fragrance bottles in the industry. It would really be neat if they put something in them besides food dye and water. Seriously. This scent won't make it from your bathroom counter to your garage door. It's a bottom feeder, not a sailing yacht. In fact, if you've ever had the sad experience of a Yachtman scent, this is even weaker. Adidas makes a quality fragrance compared to this, and it's sad because Tommy Bahama didn't start out peddling zero quality crap like this. Not surprised people find this similar to Eternity Aqua and Polo Blue, both so feeble I gave new bottles away. They were worthless and this Tommy Bahama scent is a throwaway as well.

This is pretty fantastic. Its not as fruity in the landing compared to the Paris Hilton for Men and the Nautica Voyage, but it is right in that sweet spot. A bit warmer, fragrant. Kinda like if you splashed the tiniest spec of Hugo Boss Bottled #6 on top of Voyage Since the other two have always been big crowd pleasers, this one is going to be a definite contender for sure. Though, like many fragrances, the scent strip is not doing it justice. You are going to want to try this on to get to the true flavor out of it.

I actually quite like this, and was considering buying a bottle. However, after two hours, the fragrance began to get a little strident and scratchy, reminding me that Tommy Bahama frags aren't using very good materials, and so I changed my mind and looked elsewhere. Still, if they gussied this up a bit with a reformulation, I'd say it's a very good salty aquatic with the requisite green apple and herbal nuances, somewhat along the lines of Polo Ultra Blue, but a bit fruitier and suited for very casual use.

A decent fresh scent. Doesn't last long so frequent reapplication may be required. I use this mostly when I'm on vacation in the Carribean. It seems to shine better there than stateside. Not bad for the price. Does exactly what one could expect unless you have high end hopes.

My collection includes the original Maritime, which has grown in appeal to me. Unfortunately, with Journey the opening reminds me of melon and the base notes feel harshly synthetic close to my nose. Further away, they might be fine.

Great smelling scent. Reminds me a lot of Ck eternity air, one of my favorite. Really airy and fresh. Good stuff
