Maritime Triumph

The first cologne I really fell in love with. I got it as a trial size from a popular subscription without ever selecting it and hit the jackpot. It's a very crisp woody smell with hints of citrus. I think it's a great year-round scent but leads more late winter almost spring / spring / early summer. I can't see someone not at least somewhat enjoying this scent. It opens with citrus and soft cashmere then blends down to a lovely freshly cut cedar. Gets better as it rests on your skin and sweet slightly vanilla note comes out along the cedar. It is NOT FLORAL. (i do not like floral scents!) the only downside is that it doesn't last very long, a few hours 4-5, very little silage past an hour or so. It'll stay on your clothes though. Really an all-around good scent at a fair price. I have treated it as a year-round scent. Definitely more male but I could see some women pulling it off to be quite honest. Not an immature scent but does not smell "old" either. 90/100! It will remain as my first love. Safe blind buy imo.

I really like this one. Unexpected turn for Maritime line. This one feels like a mix of the original Maritime (with toned down sweetness) with Dior Home 2020. It's a very simplistic way of describing it but it will make sense to you once you smell it. This has a great longevity for EDC concentration and moderate projection. Can be an inexpensive signature scent for someone. This does not smell cheap or too main stream, just not the best performer because of low concentration. Definitely try it!!! This is the most interesting Tommy Bahama I ever smelled.

A fun EDC strength fragrance that brings out sweet nutmeg and cashmere on my skin. I layer this on top of light citrus-based EDTs on cooler summer afternoons to add a little touch of decadence. It appears to have been retired, now only available in gift sets. Performance is similar to other Tommy B’s. An hour or so of decent projection followed by another few hours or so of longevity but your mileage may very. Works best as an accent in my book.

Super nice and unique but doesn’t last worth a damn, over spraying doesn’t help either but damn its great never smelled anything like it, I liken its uniqueness to Baccarat Rouge-not the same smell but in a class by itself...wish it were stronger

I was not expecting a cologne to be this strong. Pretty spicy, the nutmeg and patchouli are front and center and the citrus takes a bit of a backseat. Pretty nice manly fragrance

Woody-spicy fragrance for men. It’s a difficult version to find due to a Limited Edition, but if you find it, know exactly that you have obtained a high-end version of eau de cologne. In fact, this particular version from the Maritime series is closer to Eau de Toilet than to being Eau de Cologne. You will notice the scents of violet leaves and nutmeg when wearing the fragrance, after a few minutes this scents calms down and then cashmere wood, patchouli and saffron appear, mixed with great craftsmanship, and no component overpowers the other. A very luxurious scent crafted with great craftsmanship in a bottle that is almost a masterpiece that can be placed as decoration. The fragrance is suitable for summer, spring, and fall, respectively, and in the evening only... It’s also suitable for men over forty years old only. The longevity and sillage of the fragrance extends to about two hours very noticeably. Conclusion: A fragrance worthy of being worn by a high seas captain to support the strength of his unique personality.

Despite the naysayers, this is actually a really good fragrance. It has a lightly fruity and nicely spicy scent that is reminiscent of the famous Boss Bottled #6. Although this takes it in a summer afternoon/evening direction with a lightly encompassing and intriguing warmth. A little bit of citrus, and it keeps it kind of tropical. Unfortunately, it has a few big pitfalls. First it has a very sour top note. There is nothing to really balance out the sourness that comes across almost like a vinaigrette. If they remove that component, this could easily be my summer signature scent. Secondly, it is very weak, and requires a massive application. Lastly, almost goes without saying, the longevity and performance is low, but it does last for a while close up and much more subdued. Sadly, Tommy Bahama tries to make inexpensive fragrances and misses the boat on what really makes fans happy. They should really think about fixing and improving these fragrances in the form of a more expensive parfum line.

I really liked this one from first sniff. Light, tangy, refreshingly spicy. Initially, I thought there were ginger and lemongrass notes to this, but I may have been picking up the citrus and pimento instead, maybe the saffron as well. It starts off warmth and spiciness forward, but eventually mellows out into something a little sweeter. The sweetness is still light enough for this to be a good warm-weather fragrance, though. The main thing making this a like rather than a love is the strength; it has some staying power, but it's pretty much a skin scent after the initial blast wears off. Also, while the bottle design is nice, the little wooden "plank" between the bottle and the cap was loose in the one I bought. I'll have to glue it down later.

Compared to the two other Maritime's I've tested (Maritime and Maritime Voyage) Maritime Triumph is more of a woody fragrance with slight spiciness. Patchouli is obvious but it's pretty smooth and not overbearing. Underneath it all is the same base found in the other two, namely a fresh/synthetic scent. Longevity was surprisingly good - the best of the three so far. I got about a little less than 6 hours out of it. Projection was mild as with the other two. It would make for a nice fragrance on a hot summer day, especially for a guy who prefers more subtle fragrance. The full retail price is ridiculous, of course, but a 4.2 oz bottle can be picked up at discounters for less than $30.

Gently aquatic with mild spice and wood. With your typical Tommy Bahama EDC life span of 3-4 good hours, it's a mid-workday refresh. It's just a completely safe fragrance for all occasions, but I feel like it's *best* suited for a climate controlled environment after the sun goes down... One with an environment that doesn't require loud talking to have a conversation. It's not going to hurt anyone's feelings, and overstaying is almost a requirement. The bottle is nice, certainly one of those that you proudly display if possible. It's priced accordingly at discounters for around $40 for the big bottle and $25 for the smaller one, not worth full retail.

#124 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Okay, I love this scent on initial opening, but you can overspray and spray your clothing and you will still be disappointed by how fast this is barely detectable. This is definitely Summer wear. But even what you spray on your Hawaiian shirt for the beach will barely last beyond the skin scent. At this price you can afford to use it liberally, but even at ten plus sprays the result is the same. An hour later it's gone.

Very nice, upon first spray it's the closest I know to Dunhill Pursuit, then becomes it's own thing. Sure it's weak but it's Tommy's only amber fragrance currently and it's good and masculine.

Truly terrible old man scent. Maritime Triumph is a fresh-spicy oriental. The combination of powdery violet leaf and medicinal pimento eclipse everything else in the composition, leaving you smelling like black licorice, potpurri, and the inside of a purse. This fragrance screams "fifty year old man", and not in a dignified way. The dry down is almost reminiscent of TUMI 'Continuum', but bad.

I get raw silk, water, musk and oranges. The musk is pronounced and the whole thing dries to sweet tangerines or those little baby oranges they sell for kids, and musk like a fabric softener. I would consider this 100% unisex. Quite pleasant but not really worth the price. Maybe as a cheap BBW body splash.

Why are people over complicating this...it’s smells like a typical aquatic fragrance but with a bit more depth. I do like it though, if you like polo blue but need something slightly better, you’ll like this.
