Tommy Now Them

Miraculous, slightly dry and woody, beautiful, citrusy, sensitive and fragile but powerful, manly and musky but buttery and juicy like a sweet pear and velvety.Just lovely and amazing. Really great release from Hilfiger. Much better than Tommy Now. Light sweet fruity opening and a fresh blast. The moss smells like vetiver. Great overall, just doesn't last but that is with any Hilfiger fragrance, safe to blind buy.

Admittedly I am a bit of a fragrance snob as I usually gravitate to niche and high end offerings. With that said, Tommy Hilfiger has never been on my radar, even in the 90s at the peak of this brand's popularity. I find all the fragrances from this house a tad boring and cheap smelling. So when I saw a tester for Tommy Now Them, I immediately thought ole Tommy was maybe pandering to the non-binary demographic with this release. On impulse I sprayed my neck and the back of my hand. I was shocked to find I actually really like this. It's clearly not conventionally "feminine" or "masculine" but comfortably somewhere in the middle, which is probably what the intent is here and it successful. Yes, this is a "freshy" but steers clear of a typical shower gel or Axe body spray. This is brisk and nice with a really interesting bite. I am a big fan of geranium, moss, sandalwood and ginger so maybe this is why my brain synapses were going bonkers over this. Again not the most original or expensive thing on the market, but at the end of day I find this very well done and has a little sparkle that sets this above the rest for this category. Thumbs up

I am surprised that most people feel this as unisex. To me this is straight up mens Axe bodyspray from supermarket that smells just like something my brothers used to wear. Super generic. It is sweet but not feminine sweet at all. Suitable for a sporty someone. I feel like this is for a young man because it lacks woodiness or smokiness which I tend to associate with higher age.

This seems like it's the embodiment of everything I could possibly dislike in a perfume. This is nauseating, artificially fresh wood, and Lysol. Not sure what they were thinking in calling this unisex either, because this smells to me like the prep school, trust fund baby, bad guy who wants to get the sweet girl in every 80s movie. Horrible, not even fit to be air freshener.

"Them" as in all the people they are not sure of the gender of. Did I get that right? What a catastrophic failure.

Lol at Tommy trying to be relevant with controversy/hype. They can't up the quality of their fragrances, (heavens no! why would they do that?), but they're going to try their hand at the unisex gender game that CK One did over 20 years ago. Why? Because like the Pride bottle of Le Male, sexuality and gender are marketable, in the most low hanging fruit way nowadays; look at how many brands shill for Pride month in June and change their profiles to rainbow flags. Here we go again but it's with gender now. By the way, this isn't "representation", this is a brand trying to pander to the trendy topic of the day, in order to get hype. Don't give "Them" the time of day, it isn't worth it. I already wasted my time making this comment. Tommy, your clothes are at Ross and your fragrances sell for $20 at the same store. I doubt you can push the needle in any way with anything that you do. Go ahead and sell this A.I. based scent, it will end up at Ross in a couple months anyway.

@VIPMEN it is typical for fragrances to have troll "smell like" fragrances. That said, I saw this in the Tommy Hilfiger outlet today, 1.7oz was $45USD (about the eBay pricing you can see on this entry) and 3.4oz was $62USD I didn't get it because it was a bit expensive especially blind (no testers due to COVID) and I'm not getting new fragrances at the moment. That said going by notes this sounds like a more unisex version of Tommy Now which honestly was a letdown considering Tommy can do decent discount pick-ups (namely Weekend Getaway.) Maybe when this hits discounts and I start buying fragrances again, I'll blind buy it.

This smells exactly like Tommy Now with added sparkling-cooling-effervescent effect. That effect stays and projects long into the dry down. Its a great cologne but this release feels slightly more juvenile because of it. Perfect for teenagers I presume. Its not listed but clearly this Tommy line have cactus blossom in its DNA, its what makes them very different and unique (in a good way) from most other popular colognes. PS. this also reminds me of recently tested LV California Dream, very similar musky pear vibes.

This is a surprisingly nice fragrance, in the Baccarat Rouge style. I like it better then the other clones of BR540.
