Tommy Summer 2016

$15 blind buy and so far I'm not disappointed. Best Tommy flanker in years. Giving it my first full wear today, full review to follow...

This is a nice cheapie for the summer!. When I first sprayed this cologne it reminded me of something I used to have and loved a few years back. It took me a little while to finally realize this smells just like Mont Blanc Starwalker , but instead of sandalwood they replaced it with Amber. As soon as i sprayed it I was hit by nice citrus and ginger notes followed by a faint Amber note. Once it started to dry down the Amber started to come out more along with a light mint which made it become more masculine to me. This for me has Moderate silage and a long lasting longevity. For 15 bucks at Ross I'm very happy with the purchase! And I'm sure you will be too.

Inexpensive, smells like a soft aquatic scent,I usually wear it on very hot days, doesn’t last long under those conditions, 95 degree plus, you can spray a lot, hot weather soaks it’s up, maybe 40% -50% dna of original Tommy. Just a really lighter version and slightly sweeter. Certainly smells nice. Too bad It doesn’t perform better. As with most Hilfiger scents, it’s likable and safe. If it had greater Sillage, I would wear more often. Maybe it’s just my batch, as I have noticed that about some colognes.

I got Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Summer 2015 and 2016 at the same time from a discounter. Unlike the 2015 release that came before it, Tommy Summer 2016 is not at all unique but it does smell good. I find that Tommy Summer 2016 is a far more green and expanded Rue 21 CJ black. Add green notes, mint and ginger to CJ Black and put it in a Tommy bottle and you get this. 2016 is just green like a slightly aquatic fresh green than the more herbal 2015. Performance is on par with both CJ Black and normal Tommy Hilfiger fragrances. It shouldn't surprise anyone that a Tommy gets cologne performance pushing eau de toilet performance. It works good for spring and summer. Unlike 2015, I find that 2016 doesn't work as good in Indian summer as it is not as spicy (due to the lack of an herbal smell. Use is rather casual, not surprising to Tommy Hilfiger releases and Tommy Summer in particular I mean I guess you can polo it up with it, but this is a very much a white tee cologney fragrance due to the citrus and slight ginger. Overall Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Summer 2016 is passable and was a good pick up for someone who grew up shopping at Rue 21 and wearing CJ Black and still wants something to remind them of it and not willing to go to a Rue 21 (I'm not one since Rue 21 does have good fragrances from time to time.) I rate Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Summer 2016 a 6.3 out of 10 mostly due to performance issues
