Prayer

I guess I'm the first reviewer. Middle age male, fairly well versed in fume but not great at picking them apart. I'd say the layperson's nose would interpret this as something I don't see listed, really at all in the note breakdown...a sorta minty-ish, licorice-ish, sandalwood-y gig, with what I'd also describe as a slight turpentine-y undertone. It's very nice. Does have almost a sorta vintage-y vibe, and does have a sorta freshy thing going on. Seems to have almost no projection. I had to use up 3/4 of my tiny sample vial on my test paper/plate in my office to get anything off it; have to waft it towards me with effort to catch the scent. So it has no lift and no sillage. But I love naturals, and this one is very nice if you like the description I gave. I may give it a go on my gym clothes some day, perhaps do some power spray numbers to see if I can get it to take off a bit, but I doubt it will. For someone who doesn't like freshies at all, and this kinda fits in that genre, it's a very pleasant scent. My first from this house, I have about another half dozen samples I'll report on over time.

Evocative and reverent. Like I’m transported to an Asian temple and bury my face into a huge pile of rosewood and sandalwood malas and inhale deeply. Again and again. Dry with hints of cedar and incense in the background. No sweetness. Just pure, smooth, and natural prayer woods.

This is a raw and bitter prayer. I mainly take rosewood, cedar, olibanum, opoponax, copal, pine needles. Ripe, astringent and aromatic woods that project strong in the first hours and carry me like a sour distillate in its sweet barrel. To age until the end between sandalwood, tolu balm,incense, resins. Mature.
