Rose Potion

So many rose fragrances lose the freshness and dewyness of the rose. Not this one, this smells like a garden of early morning uncut roses - still moist and the scent is just coming alive. The sun is still low in the sky, and standing in the middle of the bushes, the fresh scent begins to rise. It's slightly spicy, sweet and rich. A couple of tiny dabs to my wrists and it surrounds like a rosy cloud. As it dries down, the freshness remains and the smoothest sandalwood makes an appearance, anchoring the roses to my skin and making it fuller and smoother. I'm not a pretty scent woman, but this is "earthy" pretty and I love it. The sandalwood makes all the difference, and it's addition is inspired. This is a perfect first date scent, or a "I feel stressed and need to relax" scent. Even if you don't love rose fragrances normally, this deserves a trial. It is different from any rose scent I have known.

This fragrance transforms throughout the seasons. She is a green, freshly cut, strong rose in the warm days of Spring/Summer. On my skin, she announces her strong presence in the opening, but lingers lightly for hours. In the cold, wet Fall/Winter, she blooms! One application to my wrists and applied to pulse points is plenty for the day and her warm, rosey glow is tempered by a gentle sweetness. I have been so amused and pleased by this natural beauty. If you love a true Rose fragrance, this deserves your consideration.

I'm not usually a fan of Rose soliflore scent, but I love Rose Potion so much. It's not very complex, but sophisticated and elegant. The opening smells like a glass of rose liqueur, with a champagne-like effervescence, there is also clear tea nuance in background. Dewy, crisp and mellow, the perfect balance of wood and nectar, not too sweet. This is discontinued, but can occasionally be seen on the second-hand market, so if you found one, don't miss it.

This is truly the most beautiful rose. Divine. Fresh and very natural, rich, green and sultry. It's beautifully strong, and lasts all day. It's so much like being nestled in a bunch of the most delicate and multi-coloured roses of different scents; it's glorious and luxurious. Perfect. And the bottle is the most precious thing, and the colour just sweeps me off my feet. It's beautiful.

I ADORE this perfume! It's absolutely beautiful and such a pure scent. While I'm a big fan of all things roses I don't often wear rose perfumes and this one is simply divine. I use it sparingly because it's just so gorgeous, it's really a treat whenever I unscrew the bottle. This perfume radiates of your skin like nothing else and lingers for hours.

I am on a search for the perfect rose fragrance. This reads very promising. I wish I could test this right now!

Rose Potion is a very one dimension fragrance, but the quality is so apparent. It wasn't for me so I passed it on, but I just know that anyone who enjoys roses would like this. Surprise! Does what it says. As chloematilda mentions, its earthy and dewy at the same time.

This is as expected - rose :). The subtle touches of musk and sandalwood give it an additional airiness or slight soapiness. These blend with the dry down into a traditional rose fragrance. Sillage and longevity are low-moderate.

The reviews were all so amazing, and so i got myself a (very expensive) decant and my verdict is, it smells really, really, really like a bouquet of roses, stems and all. I am slightly disappointed as perhaps i was hoping for a creamy, soft, and slightly sweeter rose. This is not soft and neither sweet. It is very green, almost herbal, very sophisticated, maybe a tad too sophisticated for my nose. But it is very well made. I appreciate that. Also, off my head, it reminds me of splendor by Elizabeth Arden. The kind of scent you’d imagine wearing if you were dancing amongst garden fairies.

This perfume is gorgeous. I am always careful with pink colours and rose scents because I find them too girly and sweet, but this is the perfect balance of feminine and resolute. Though beautiful and light at first grows on you over time, throughout the days and months. It This is a perfume not for girls, but for women.

I have always find rose scented fragrances very challenging on me and I have tried and owned enough rose fragrances. I recall the first time I smelled Rose Potion. I felt as if i was in rose heaven. It is just the perfect rose fragrance for me.
