Jardins de Misfah

I discovered Jardins de Misfah by Une Nuit Nomade completely by accident; wandering through a local boutique, randomly picking up bottles to smell for fun. The moment I sprayed this one, I froze. I walked away, came back, walked away again... and kept returning because something in it felt unlike anything I’d ever smelled before, and I own over 500 fragrances. This was truly love at second sniff. An unexpected, almost stubborn love; the kind where you try to walk away, but it keeps calling you back. What struck me immediately was the scent itself; this soft, airy veil of rose petals, touched with a delicate almond-like sweetness, wrapped in a warm, almost sun-kissed date blossom glow. It’s quietly creamy, floral without being overly powdery, sweet without being sugary, and rests on a comforting silky base that feels like warm skin after a day in the sun. The overall effect is serene, refined, and utterly enchanting. Jardins de Misfah has become my signature, and for good reason. The performance is outstanding, the composition is refined, and the whole experience feels like the best expression of what niche perfumery should be: beautifully crafted, effortless complexity without confusion. It doesn’t try too hard. It doesn’t need to. Instead, it takes you on an uncomplicated, elegant journey, luxurious from start to finish, with just enough presence to leave a whisper of magic in the air. It lasts for hours, yet never overwhelms the people around you. Because loudness is not luxury, and volume is not sophistication. This is true niche quality: balanced, distinctive, memorable. I genuinely wanted to gate-keep this one because it feels so personal now; the kind of fragrance you want to protect because it becomes a part of who you are. So, in a previously written Fragrantica review, someone mentioned this perfume as being reminiscent of Dries Van Noten "Soie Malaquais." I own a full bottle of Soie Malaquais and I ADORE the fragrance. With that said, I hoard and guard my bottle of Soie Malaquais 'cause the stuff is SO DARN EXPENSIVE. I was excited to try (what might be) a more affordable alternative. I ordered decants of Jardins de Misfah EdP and Jardins de Misfah EXTRAIT. And I must say while sharing very distant similarities with Soie Malaquais, Jardins de Misfah Extrait is quite different from anything else I've ever worn. And the extrait version is really, really, really nice. I'm always fearful of "date," or honey-date scents. But there's something about Jardins de Misfah that is very special. The fragrance clearly opens with prominent, strong, very distinctive, honeyed-fruity notes with a strong date (or prune) accord and gentle rose. But because the honey, the fruit and the rose are so well balanced, the perfume doesn't perform full-on gourmand. I do not get the sweet baklava, or pastry, or Turkish Delight vibe others speak about. While sweet and syrupy, the opening almost feels a bit earthy... Within minutes, the perfume develops with smooth, sweet & creamy, almond notes and very green DAVANA. WOW!! To my nose, it's the davana, or the ARTEMISIA leaf that really shines through this extrait version. The vegetal herbal nature of the davana is deep, earthy, rooted and seductive. And the davana definitely contributes to the perfume's thick, heady presence, which I think prevents the fragrance from feeling silly, or edible. Jardins de Misfah EXTRAIT is hard to describe. I definitely recommend sampling before springing for a full bottle. Now I'm anxiously awaiting my decant of the eau de parfum version. I love it!!

What a gorgeous niche, feminine fragrance! Definitely unique. This is the kind of scent I was hoping for from Feve Gourmand by Guerlain! As per the notes I can smell them all, but this is a lot more rose forward than the OG. I hate rose fragrances, but love this. It’s definitely more of a honeyed jammy rose. This is super long lasting and would be great for date night. It’s rich, comforting, a bit mysterious and sexy. I would say having the OG and extrait definitely doesn’t make either redundant. I actually bought a bottle of both. They are similar fragrances, you can tell they’re related, but they’re still different enough to justify having both. The OG is more of a daytime fragrance and the extrait more for night. Absolutely love them!

It's not sweet as usual but in a different way (because it smells almond and dates) and is more warm than sweet. You can smell all the ingredients mentioned above and, to imagine the smell, it is like a licorice syrup. I swear. Prominents notes are almond, licorice and rose. So this is very original, like a licorice and almond dessert perfumed with rose. About the rose you can smell every part of the plant ; thorns, petals, flower, leaves... it is a dark and complete rose. I have a 50ml bottle and I use it approximately once a week because it is a fragrance you don't want to forget My note : 8/10 (Performances are not that great)
