First Jasmin de Chine

This is lovely and basically exactly what is says. Reminiscent of First, but with jasmine as the star. To me it is less sharp and soapy without the lovely peachy note I get in First. The bottle charm is also cute. I'm not sure it's really worth it to get this if you already have First, unless you love it like I do. Definitely a solid high quality choice. I am guessing this is jasmine sambac, but it is not as animalic as other perfumes I have with that variety. I guess it is closest to the kind of jasmine in Samsara.

I will start with saying - I do not like the original First! That is an awful scent om my skin. Now I have tried First Jasmine de Chine - a totally different scent and absolutely gorgeous! Its fresh, flowery, female'ish and flirty. Love the Jasmin, aldehyd, narcissus, woodynotes and musk - mix. On my skin really longlived. I can still smell it on the back of my hand this morning, where i made one spritz yesterday evening. Jasmine de Chine is a limited edition - if you see it - and love flowery scents - buy it!

This is basically First with a strong indolic jasmine on top. Nothing new here, but pleasant enough. Happy to have it in my collection as it's becoming difficult to find, but there are other jasmines in my collection I like much more.

Fragrance Review For Jasmin de Chine Van Cleef & Arpels Top Notes: Cassia Bergamot Black Currant Middle Notes Aldehydes Tuberose Jasmine Ylang Ylang Rose Narcissus Base Notes Sandalwood Musk Vanilla Vetiver Cedar Could I be any luckier? This fragrance, part of the First franchise flankers, was selling on ebay. This was a limited edition fragrance. It's not at all like First or Air De First. It's missing some of the scents that made up the full bodied aldehydic floral amber and honey scent that First was. It's still very beautiful. This is an exotic jasmine scent. The exotic part comes from the very obvious sandalwood in the base and the vetiver/wood (cedar wood). It becomes rather unisex but it's still feminine for the most part. The flowers keep everything sweet and womanly. Besides the reining jasmine, it has tuberose narcissus and ylang ylang, each of which are very detectable. A fine floral perfume, classy, sophisticated and very much like the flowers in the first First. This time around there is an unusual placement of aldehydes not in the top notes but in the heart. It does smell of the aldehydes in First or for that matter of Chanel No. 22 and Lady Stetson, but the heart note that is dominating isn't even the aldehydes it's the jasmine. So you have to enjoy aldehydic florals because this is what is at the heart of Jasmine de Chine. The Chinese aspect comes at the end with that aromatic sandalwood. I love this perfume. It smells very expensive glamorous and amazing. I will wear this to a friend's wedding next week.

A woody jasmine, calm, collected, confident. Not airy at all, not too complex. My favourite type of perfume - white floral woody. A strong scent of Chinese jasmine, narcissus and woods woods woods and then more woods with a hint of vanilla. Really worth getting if you want a jewell in your perfume collection, a little gem. I feel like I am in the 1970s going to a formal meeting when I smell this. Takes a serious occasion or to be a huge lover of jasmines to love this. Eternally feminine. This should have been called eternity! Smells of jasmine (duh), tuberose, narcissus, ylang, sandalwood and vetiver. And my goodness! What it becomes and how it blooms as it warms up on the skin.... I consider myself lucky to have a bottle of Jasmine de Chine.
