First Rosée D'Or

Yes, this is still available on ebay and it is lovely and luxurious. I recently acquired V&A Edition Or and now also this beauty. In my opinion this one nudges First Edition Or off its perch by being just a little more refined and classy, while retaining the high class soap with just a touch of rose. I detect a strong resemblance to the long discontinued Alessandro Dell'Acqua, which used to be my signature scent back in the day. If you were a fan of ADA chances are you will also love First Rosee D'or. It was a limited edition so chase it now before it disappears. Added bonus - the beautiful rose gold mirror bottle.

Great lasting power on me. On my skin is a mixture between rose and powder. Femenine. Subtile. Chic. At least is an original fragrance. Well done!

This is a luxurious feminine fragrance that I was lucky enough to get my hands on before they discontinued the product. I haven't checked but it's possible it still sells on ebay. The bottle is gorgeous. I bought two of them and gave one of them as a gift for my sister who loves rose perfumes. Rosée D'Or is an aldehydic rose. If you're comfortable with aldehydes in perfume or have worn aldehydic Chanel fragrances like No. 5 or No. 22, this is right up your alley. Like a Chanel perfume, it's sophisticated, elegant, refined and even conservative, mature. This is a fragrance for a married lady who enjoys her roses, her shopping sprees, her luncheons with girl friends, or a romantic candle light dinner with her husband. Of course that's just the vibe I get with this fragrance and that's why I gave it away as a gift to my sister who is happily married. She couldn't thank me enough and really enjoyed the scent, saying it was very beautiful. Fragrantica classifies this as a white floral but it's not. The only white flower in it is the jasmine and it's a key player along with the rose. This is a great pairing of roses and jasmines. There is also ylang-ylang. Very floral. The woodsy notes stand out and there is a touch of sweet vanilla but not enough to make it a gourmand. There is also musk but it smelled more like a light white musk. I get a wedding day vibe from this perfume even though it's lacking the white floral bouquet thing. The jasmine is big enough on it's own to create the effect of a bridal perfume. Of course I'm not suggesting you have to be married or about to get married to wear this fragrance. It's just such a beautiful womanly perfume and I believe any woman can wear it, even a spinster who never married or ever had children. Why not? Perfume is for anyone that loves to smell good. Any age, any woman, any socioeconomic background. I still wear this out on dates. I always receive compliments when I wear it. Such a pity it's been discontinued. I hope they bring it back. First by Van Cleef & Arpels continues to sell big time but this is just as good.

to my nose it opens up with a lovely citrus smell, followed by a lovely jasmine-rose combination, musky vanilla and finally some woody notes add closing to this really nice, elegant and office friendly fragrance.
