Miss Arpel 1.0 bottle edt glass swirl bottle When I smell Miss Arpel or something like its green opening- I smile. In its time..green fragrances were the hallmarks of a youthful consumer. Springtime, fresh, lively with some florals. Tendre poison, although a powerhouse went green and marketed itself as a lighter version of Poison, finds itself in this genre as well as Miss Arpel, Jolie Madame, Ma Griffe, Crystalle Edp. Green, little herbal and bitter with a lemon uplifts the spirits and adds a clean character. Natural smelling perfume. The florals rise from the green as if they are starting to bloom from the ground. I do not get much fruit except for the green melon and no peach so dont think this is a tresor type scent it leans much more green than that-more closer to Y by YSL. Its a different, classy affordable watery green floral. If you dont like oakmoss or not a lot in it..its for you.

I love the house of Van Cleef & Arpels, but only the vintage releases- Birmane, Van cleef, Miss Arpels, Gem, Tsar, Murmure...Their current offerings like Feerie or Oriens do not mean anything to me. Miss Arpels is a real beauty, great example of how splendid perfumery used to be. It is very similar to one of my favourite fragrances, Lys d'Eau by Darphin, which I discovered first. It is "wet", vibrant and crystal clear fresh. Miss Arpels is a little drier, one step back from the damp, lush, glistening juiciness of Darphin.It's more of a gentle dew,then a floral essence, has medium sillage, but decent staying power, I do not detetect much vanilla or moss, even in the drydown phase. I am absolutely smitten by it, I will definitely buy some back up bottles, as I know where they are still available, but who knows how much longer?

Miss Arpels is a lovely thing in both scent and bottle. Nosed by the great Jean-Claude Ellena, it is still available on-line at a bargain price if you seek it out. It's name is deceiving for those who think the "Miss" title connotes super fruity sweet scents. It has a classic but light, happy, feel.On my skin, the drydown has a sublime melange of subtle yet persistent notes. (Just my opinion- In no way does it remind me of the galbanum heavy severe Cristalle, or the leather centric Miss Balmain.) As Always, your mileage may vary.

Lovely soft green, grassy basil (non-gourmand), gentle magnolia, peony and melon. To me it has a hint of freshly picked dandelion. Such a lovely, soft girly scent sitting genlty on the skin. I found this bottle serendipitously and I feel this has been an overlooked fragrance, outrageous for such a beauty!

Very nice for the nose the scent. Delicate floral and fruit. Unfortunately already inaccessible, or very heavily. With pleasure it was to use him. Such smile for the nose :)....

It's a classic aldehyde-floral perfume, very mature, not for a young girl. It's amazing, i love it. A real masterpiece. The best perfume for me- it's my signature.

My obbsesion with green scents and Jean Claud Ellena lead me to blind buy a 50ml geometric bottel. On first smell I thought I made a huge mistake. It was bitter old lady central. Turns out the juice stuck in the spray dispencer went off, and when I tried again it got better. Still has a very strange bitter opening and the notes dont really match the pyramid so the top may have gone south. What I have is a bitter watery floral. Yes it has green elements but every floral note rankes highter than the green or basil notes in this bottle. Under the jasmin, water lily and white floral I do get a hint of peppery green watercress and capsicum. As it warms I get bergamot and a bitter melon, a slighly sweet sour fruit element like pinapple and ginger come out too. Would sum this up as a bitter green watery floral bouquet ⛤⛤⛤

Oh, this is definitely an "old perfume", but it's not a bad thing. This is a perfume done "right", by the rules. Nothing screechy, no artificial sweetness, no dreaded ambroxan. For me it opened with a very, very distinct juicy ripe cantaloupe with perhaps some peaches. White floral middle. The only note that ruins it a bit for me is oakmoss, but this is just something you can't escape in old perfumes. Overall, a solid 4/5 classic. It is readily available on ebay, rather cheap. Projection is also very impressive, considering that this is EDT, not EDP.

It reminds me of a cosy but elegant florist's shop. The smell itself is like freshly cut flowers with a hint of flower water smell added to it. Unfortunately I get no peach or vanilla notes and it doesn't last too long on me. The scent is very close to skin and natural. Gorgeous bottle! Brings back all my childhood memories :)

This bottle is supposed to be symbolic of a ring. The band at the top is what goes around your finger and the bottle is the stone. This is pretty for what it is. Mostly I am getting peach with a little spice and some green, and occasional whiffs of vanilla. I don't smell flowers, melon, or oakmoss outright. They are all very subtly blended. Mostly it reminds me of a tea type fragrance. It seems very well blended. This might work better in the heat of the summer because as I was pulling a roast out of the oven a while ago I could smell the scent wafting all around me. The scent is unique in that I've never smelled anything remotely like it, and it does seem to get stronger when heat is present. It seems to bloom then and becomes very luscious, and the flowers more apparent. Overall, a very nice perfume that IMO is better suited to spring and summer than winter wear.

This is a beautiful fruity floral. It opens with citrus and peach. The scent is clearly 1990's with those fruity openings (i.e. Tresor) and the magnolia scent as the scent starts to enter it's heart phase is slightly reminiscent of Dior's J'adore. There is also a slight resemblance to Yves Saint Laurent's Y the new formulation. This has a greenness, a freshness, as well as a soft floral scent. All white flowers: magnolia, freesia, jasmine, lily, jasmine. There is also a rosy little peony. I am not used to soft flowers but when I wear them they make me sleepy. So this is the kind of fragrance I'd wear to bed or I'd use it to scent my pillows with. It's dreamy a floral haze of sweetness and delicate beauty. As the scent dries down there's a touch of oak moss but not enough to make it a chypre. It remains very floral and then there is a sweet vanilla. Bliss.

My mother bought me this when I was a teenager, together with D&G and Versace Bright Crystal. I would wear it sometimes but I remember that I didn't like it very much. I forgot how it smells exactly and all I can say is that it was maybe smelling too sharp and bitter to me. I think my "problem" was the aldehydes cause I wasn't loving her Chanel No5 either. I'm curious now, at 36, to smell this again and see if and how my opinion about it has changed :) After all it's a playful challenge and my opinion about aldehydes has completely changed as I grew more wise and (I want to believe) more sophisticated. I still despise Bright Crystal, though lol ^_^ Note: my mother had some small bottles of popular for the era perfumes and I was LOVING them. Wish she had bought me them instead, hahaha. Some of them were: Tuscany per donna, Sensuous and Bal a Versailles.

I changed my mind about this perfume.still I don't consider it as a missy fragrance.it has the signatures of Van Cleef perfumes.it smells so classic for nowadays. it starts with kind of sharp scent,something like ylang-ylang should exist here.a bit fruity,I can feel peach. I think what annoys me about this fragrance is oakmoss.it's bitter,even after 5 minutes of applying.I still believe it's not a missy fragrance.young girls don't like these kinds of smellings anymore unless they would be very old fashioned or they like to start liking classics(this one is a good start) by the way the bottle is cool.it's a polygon that you can change it's position whenever you like.it looks like a jewel or something.

I just got a bottle (for a very very reasonable price) from Amazon. I love it. Really and even more surprising it has lasted on me, over 12 hours after application, I cant still smell it on my wrist. Definitely a keeper. But with the comments here that it might be discontinued, and the fact that the little dangly thing goes look like the picture above, I am now suspicious, could it be a fake?

sniffed this && it’s reminds me of Chloe Nomad EDT 2019 !!! the oakmoss is what reminds me of it ... strong basil top note i will say ... but then florals come out chloe is probably more floral/ sweet but definetly if you don’t like oak moss you probably won’t like this

I fell in love when I was in Paris in 1994. I loved the scent and the bottle. I remember the little ring on top. It reminds me of Paris, my teenage and lovely memories.

I remember smelling it a long time ago. However, when I recently tested Bvlgari Voile de Jasmin, the 1st thing that popped to my mind was Miss Arpels.

I went to LuckyPerfume, but could not find this particular scent. Other than ebay; anyone know who else has it???

Ideal for summertime and for young girls. A good fragrance in a beautiful bottle.
