Highway

There seem to be two different versions of Highway in the Fragrantica database, with two different release dates and two different note pyramids. But unlike other instances when I've noticed this, it seems there *really* are two different versions of this fragrance and not just a duplicated entry on Fragrantica's part. I'm not sure which version I have a sample of, but I'm going with the one listed on this page because it smells mostly like orange blossoms to me, so that must be the neroli, which has been voted the most prominent note here (the other version is apparently cedar-dominant, and I don't smell cedar in my sample at all). I've never heard the song this fragrance was inspired by, but I don't think it's at all necessary to know the song in order to appreciate this fragrance. It's light, sweet, and pleasant, and it does make me think of long car trips past miles of orange groves when I was growing up in Florida. Orange blossom really is all I get from it, though; I don't get any cedar, berries, spruce, vanilla, rose, or even citrus fruit. However, orange blossom is nice (I like it better than the oranges themselves), and in fact one of the first perfumes I can remember owning & wearing as a child was an orange blossom soliflore, so this is a very nostalgic scent for me. My husband can also smell citrus fruit and rose in this, however, so I would recommend testing before buying since your mileage may vary.
