Honey

I've completely fallen for this perfume. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks now and it always feels fresh and beautiful. Honey begins on me with an herbal quality - a little like a tea or a natural medicinal preparation. This is not may favorite stage. As it warms on my skin over the next 15 minutes a beautiful beeswax and orange blossom scent begins stirring. After a while I can sense a background of hay and a little spicy clove, slightly sweetened by the pomegranate. The pink grapefruit is there as a background note too. It's hard to put into words how this perfume is sweet like a honeycomb, yet not sugary sweet. It's pleasurable and sensual without being crass. I really like Botrytis Ginestet and to my nose this perfume and BG are on nodding terms with their honey-toned scents, and eventual understated, but gorgeous flowery appearance. Honey seems a bit more refined, however, and makes me notice BG's slightly screechy start more. The gorgeous dry down fizzes (vetiver?) The vanilla only comes to me in the dry down, along with smooth rich sandalwood. Once again understated. Very wearable. Stunning unusual scent.

Also wanted to provide the correct notes.

I have tried several scents from Velvet & Sweet Pea Perfumery. They are nicely crafted, pretty packaging, original and cruelty free. I am a fan of Laurie Sterns' perfuming. NICE! This looks lovely. Will try Honey when I can.
