Jasmin De Minuit

Although it's supposed to be a fresh and wet jasmine, my opinion on this floral beauty is different. It starts bright and slightly herbal, comparable to something from the Givenchy Harvest range, but after an hour or so, everything turns very warm and fluffy. There is an earthy undertone, but nothing to disrupt this comfy image or to change its elegance into something dirty. I cannot smell it if I touch my nose to my wrist, but I do all around me. To conclude: very beautiful and simple, but a bit dear for the picture it creates.

Liked this in the niche perfumery, so went home with a sample. It's a simple, clean jasmine. Lots of white flowers and nothing else. I don't smell the patchouli or the vetiver even in the slightest. Just the slightest trace of an ocean breeze, but I live right by the beach so perhaps I'm smelling the real thing as opposed to something from the perfume. While I like the smell, it also doesn't strike me as anything special. I love Michael Kors, and everything tuberose, and would rather wear one of those when I'm feeling flowery.

Testing my sample; like wearing a freshly pressed white linen dress washed with a bright jasmine-scented laundry detergent. There marine note is so soft, like you dried it on a clothesline by the sea and the fabric absorbed just a bit of the scent. Warm weather is the best for jasmine, so spring and summer. This would make a great fragrance for a holiday beach getaway. Around arms' length projection, it definitely lingers in the air.

I would call this more of a "fresh" fragrance than an explicitly "jasmine" fragrance. Also, rather than evoking a nocturnal vibe, as the name suggests, it feels more like being on an oceanside cliff with crisp, cool, very bright and even somewhat glaring sunlight dazzling your eyes. It is clean and watery, with an almost mineralic tinge. It is clear light blue, light green. I don't get earthy or patchouli-esque notes and certainly nothing "intense and sensual" as in the brand's description. Unisex but leaning towards masculine on my skin.

Jasmin De Minuit by Veronique Gabai offers a clean, laundry-like scent, gently soapy with a delicate blend of white florals. The harmonious mix, however, slightly masks the prominence of jasmine, allowing it to fade into the background.
