Yellow Diamond Intense

This is my third Versace fragrance. The thing I love about Versace is all of there fragrances are completely different to one another unlike Gucci Marc Jacobs and D&G who go through stages of knocking 5,6,7 slightly different variations of the same fragrance out. Versace is therefore a very refreshing brand compared to the others. I bought this one at the airport a couple of weeks ago. I was also considering Burberry body edp but decided against that one as it has a sort of boozy b.o scent on my skin. Versace intense yellow diamond for me is refreshing and revitalising scent it is a citrus but a sophisticated citrus it has a degree of class about it. One does not simply smell like sticky citrus fruit sweets or a sherbet lemon wearing this scent. It has a floral somewhat woody sweetness about it. I get lemon, pear, sandalwood and some other complexity of notes which I cannot identify. For me this is a morning perfume and would make a very good work perfume as it is awakening refreshing and gives an inspiring get up and go feel to it. I really like this fragrance it is a beautiful classy fresh Autumn scent and I feel motivated and in control when I wear it. Most people would prefer this for spring or summer, but as I've said before when reviewing other citrus perfumes for me, citrus perfumes work best in Autumn when there's a cold bite in the air and a nippy breeze, this is when such fragrances are at their best and smell wonderfully ripe and work to their full potential. Citron, White-Florals & Honey-Hay... Opens with a fruity-floral burst with citrus, honey & clean touches that reads honeysuckle & lemon blossom to my nose. These all deepen into a white floral heart that has powdery, honey, clean, fruity, & hay-like touches, all resting on a musky amber-woody base. Overall: Beautiful sweet citrus-floral scent, with above average performance for a spring-summer wearing experience. What scent would you wear for your first patio lunch in spring? It's a love for me. Enjoy! Contrast to Yellow Diamond (OG) Versace: These are different, but they're strikingly similar. YDI has a more forward white-floral accord, pungent-citrus quality and more honey-hay, while the OG is softer with a more fluffy citrus, and has a more forward shampoo quality. Both have above average performance, but YDI is slightly outperforms. Contrast to Eros Pour Femme Versace: These are different, but there are similarities with forward citrus. YDI is more citrus & white-floral forward while Eros Pour Femme has the more forward pomegranate and ambroxan notes. Roughly equivalent performance or slightly better for Yellow Diamond Intense. Update 08/07/24: Sprayed this on my hand this morning, and the longevity has improved a lot. Was still on after a workout & shower. Very citrus forward with white-florals, but I also enjoyed the osmanthus this time - a note which I've been enjoying more lately. Still a love. Update 05/14/25: I notice the pear & neroli more here than in Yellow Diamond (OG) Versace but they're quite similar. Uplifting lemon-y freshness. Each time I wear it I notice something different. Love it.

When I put this Diamond on I feel an incredible surge of energy a boost for the whole day ahead. Such an exhilarating smell; sparkling, sunny, sensual and yet refreshing! Nobody knows better female forms than Versace brand does ; its clothes as well as its perfumes are fashionable, feminine, sophisticated and sexy, though, a bit clingy sometimes. But you'll definitely revel in this scent if you love it, if not- you couldn't help, as it lasts as long as it lasts. And it worth every penny, as the wood is precious here, holy! It tingles and teases you with such a playful , green fuzziness. Nothing is opaque about this aroma, no darkness, no smokiness; it's warm, clear and clean citrusy-woody-floral composition, where freesia is shining gloriously to my great delight here. Even if the bottle is a little bit bulky, it's mesmerizing somehow, especially the stopper that looks like an UFO- the Beauty from the different dimension. Definitely, this is the Diamond for the rising star. Supernova! Superb! PS. This flanker is a great replacement of my, unfortunately, nearly empty bottle of "Wood Velvet Forest Wood" by Dsquared2; the same vibe but without pine and patchouli accords DI sounds less Unisex, and rather smooth and feminine because of the addition of a sweet pear note to it. Alberto Morillas surprises me as always. Xxx Edit: If you take away the Rose note from "My Burberry" by Burberry, you'll have the scent very reminiscent of "Diamond Intense", in my humble opinion indeed.

I ❤️ it! I my opinion this really is the intense version of the original, which I had and loved but was so very unhappy with the weak performance that it had! So about the scent: IMO you could like this even if - like me - you usually don’t really fancy a prominent citrus accord! It is beautifully fresh, and the most delightful blend of citrus and withe floral! It has one of my top favorite notes - freesia - and is making it smell airy not powdery, and since I dislike powdery scents but somehow love it when freesia is done in a way that is not powdery, I really appreciate this one (since this is rare imo)! The citron note, although it is listed only in the top notes, sticks with the flowers as well, and letting the fragrance feel like a zesty lemon meringue deliciousness with slightly sweet orange blossom drizzle and a tang of freshly cut green freesia smell on top... the musky base is being hold together by a tiny leather band and the faintest vanilla touch lingers on top... I think value and price are really good and it performs (as most perfumes with a strong citrus accord) formidable on me! ... A summer scent that can be enjoyed also during summer eves and brighter autumn days! Love!

Like a potent love potion, I fell hard for this one. Yellow Diamond Intense brings to mind the Lady of the woods every myth, legend and tale tell us about. Hauntingly beautiful, she bewitches everything in her path. White florals tempered by benzoin and woods exude an air of mystery without being dark. Seductive in its brightness and luminosity, this gem is truly is one of a kind. Sweet but not cloying...Pear, freesia and jasmine dominates but does not overpower the other notes in the composition. While having a bit of body compared to the original Yellow Diamond it maintains an airy quality throughout. Versatile as it is both warm and cold weather scent. Overall, I would describe it as milky / woody white floral. Lasts for ages with a heavy sillage. I've been bathing with compliments everytime I am wearing it. Compliments coming not just from the ladies but mostly from men. I'd say definitely worth the money spent.

MUSK Another error on FRAGRANTICA web site about olfactive family of Yellow Diamond Intense: IS FLORAL FRUITY WOODY......Not only FLORAL The fragrance of Versace is very positive ,radiant,full of sun...it's hot and happy and very plaisant.And yummy too(pear sorbet).....After Bright Crystal is the second best parfum of Versace. This just arrived - a belated Hannukah present for myself. I had been deliberating between this and Eros EDT for a while now. I like them both and find them extremely similar. I find this one a tad sharper and less sweet than the Eros. I also have a mini of the original Yellow Diamond which I enjoy. The intense version is, as its name attests, basically the same scent just amped up a decibel or two. I know that winter is not the optimal season for this scent but I'm loving it anyway... ETA - I ended up buying the Eros EDT too. I love both these scents. They are both sunny and uplifting. The Eros is somewhat more 'mellow' and thus, in my opinion more office friendly.

This is a beautiful perfume! Of course very similar to Yellow Diamond, but lasts longer while being equally fresh and lemon-juicy. Like a perfect lemonade with a white florals and a touch of lemon zest. If you love this one, please try Versaces Eros pour Femme Edt and Edp if you can find them. Of these four perfumes, Eros pour Femme Edp is the most grown up/elegant and Eros pour Femme and Yellow Diamond Intense are quite equal great purchases for juicy fruity sweet lemon lovers. All four are safe blind buys, Yellow Diamond Edt lacks a bit in staying power though, compared to the others.

I got this when it first came out and I still love reaching for it in the spring and summer. Bright, citrus, white floral and it lasts for a good 3 hours or so on me. Out of all the Crystal line this and Noir are the only two that really spoke to me. Not a safe blind buy, but if you love the fresh & crisp floral citrus idea then you should definitely give it a try. Purchased from: Dillard's

I thought the original Yellow Diamond was nice but fleeting.. this is way better. You can see it's more concentrated when you spray it on because it leaves a sheen on the skin. Deeper and longer lasting than the original eau de toilette. It lasts all day long. You might get nose blind to it because of the musks but it lasts. This smells like citrus, wildflowers and musky woods. Beautiful.

I much prefer this intense to its EDT, there are surprising differences. Much less freesia, more citrus, amber and delicate pear. Its quite lovely and it radiates without making my nose crinkle with synthetic florals. Its beautiful and summery and it has great longevity. Its not a happy jasmine scent, just a true romantic white floral with lovely balance.

Was gonna give this away but decided to give it another try, spritzed on clothe and only a little on skin. To my nose, it's totally different now - it's young, clean, fresh, very feminine and flirtatious. I really like it now and find quite tender and it reminds a lot of star jasmine..I don't know why It's changed so much to me :/

My staple summer fragrance of few years. I loved it on first sniff. It's fresh, clean and bright, uplifting and joyous. I see it as very feminime. It's a bit soapy, bit I like it over original and Bright Crystal. To me it has more personality. Also it's one of the rare fragrances that got me compliments, mostly by men.

What an absolutely delicious fragrance to compliment the heat and fun of the summer months! It's floral, it's fresh, it's fruity, and it's fun. Intense enough to keep up with you and your intense summer fun, Yellow diamond won't get sour, sickly, or overbearing. Instead, it melts away, like a beautiful beach sunset.

Joyful, nice summery fragrance for lemon lovers. Citron and lemon (lemon with just a little bit of orange, more resinous and luscious) + tea, grass, weeds (nettle?) + clover (red and white) + trace of fig?. Like sniffing lemons in the middle of a meadow on a sunny day.

I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews. It's rare for me to love citrus fragances.. I'm a gourmand, fruity-patchouli, floral girl, but this one is so nice. Love 😍 it

Lovely! I actually think the original one smells more "intense" than this one. This is just more citrusy. I thunk I like the original more than this but the difference is very small.

The only thing I disliked about Yellow Diamond was that it was too airy and light. Yellow Diamond Intense is the perfect reworking.

It's very loud, rich and yellow.. I don't like the opening or heart but the drydown is pleasant enough - fresh and woody/floral.

I can’t stop smelling myself. This is one of my favorites at the moment. I love the fresh, citrusy smell without being sour.
