It's A Match-a

I hoped I'd fall in love with this fragrance - and I did. I didn't know what I was getting myself into beforehand, since this is my first from Versatile and I didn't have the chance to test it. But I love the taste/smell of matcha and I also love sweet, gourmand scents, so I thought I'd try this one. I'd put it on my christmas wishlist and it was gifted to me by my mom. It's a really unique perfume that (for me) is mostly true to the notes it promises. On my skin, it opens with a photorealistic matcha - more so evoking the raw matcha powder than a finished drink. Very green (in a tea way), a bit powdery. Then, slowly, the other notes start emerging. I get mostly a milky, sweet blueberry. Not a fresh juicy blueberry, maybe a blueberry syrup or a pastry with blueberries baked into it. At times, the blueberry note leans a bit synthetic but not in an unpleasant way (at least not for me). I can really imagine the blueberry pancakes it's trying to evoke since there are definitely notes of sugar, vanilla and milk. The heart and base are cosy but not overly sweet and the matcha lingers nicely in the background even as the fragrance progresses. After about 8 hours, a pleasant sweet gourmand memory lingers on my skin. The only listed note I haven't really smelled is pistachio. Overall, it's a really unique and honestly fun perfume to wear. I've been wearing it every day since I got it and I love it. I keep sniffing my wrists and the scent always makes me relaxed and happy. It's not too strong and mostly stays close to the skin, which makes it a good candidate for an everyday perfume for me. I think it leans more femme but the opening is more genderless.

Whipped, sweet and green matcha, which meets piercing blueberries and mild pancakes. It is amazing, most enjoyable combination. Some notes are familliar, this perfume has typical Versatile profile. A very tasteful combination, encouraging apetite and comfy mood. No doubt about its uniqueness. Maybe I'm rapt, but I find this scent inspiring and extremely charming. It is very well-blanded and uplifting. --- Projection is moderate, longevity 3-4 hours, then re-apply... nice in every season, I suposse.

I really love the way this smells since I'm a fan of gourmands, however I would not recommend it to someone looking for a true matcha or even a general matcha scent. It does just smell like really sweet and comforting blueberry pancakes with maybe a HINT of the matcha you're drinking with the pancakes, it adds only the slightest bit of greenery to the overall baked-goods smell.

Whoa! Amazing. Green, fruity, milky, comforting and pretty. The blueberry smells a little synthetic, but it offsets the richness of the other heavy notes and gives it a lightness that works beautifully. It’s a fruity, floral gourmand, and it’s bright and strong. A statement fragrance that may not be a live for everyone, but it is for me. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

This caught me off guard! I was like :'huh', than 'oh', than 'no' than WOW!

It’s super unique but also kinda strange tbh. I mean I could possibly feel both matcha and pancakes here so - this part is pretty realistic, but also I’m getting some candy-floss, sugar syrup and synthetic blueberries.. too much going on in this scent. It’s still lovely. I like the tart matcha note here, but it’s a bit messy tho.

You definitely get a matcha right away. Then you get a hint of blueberry and pancake which is nice. But when a pistachio comes in - I hate it. It's sweet, I guess matcha lovers will find it really good, but I'm afraid God bless cola is the only one perfect perfume from this brand and everything else is just nah...

This is a very sweet, milky, comfort scent. For me, very much a 'Sunday at home in colder weather' vibe. I do like it, but this one is too sweet for an everyday scent for me. It is a 'sometimes' indulgence.

I think it smells like a surrealistic world where Blueberry pancakes is a savory dinner plate.

Smells like a blueberry muffin scented candle.

A vague opening that smells like a matcha/pistachio latte (but powdery) for two minutes, then a horrible blueberry scent. Like some kind of bueberry milk but made with fermented milk. I can't describe how much I dislike it. It stays forever on. I hate those pistachio scents that end up smelling like weird almond or badly done coconut. This is a no for me but in a way I could smell what some people could find endearing. Milk and Matcha and Yum Pistachio Gelato would be two perfumes with the same kind of vibe.

I don’t know what I was expecting based on the notes, I knew ”blueberry pancakes” may be a bit risky. I can’t detect any matcha at all, it gets drowned by the main note which is an artificial sweet blueberry, and a buttery pancake. It smells juvenile, kind of like a Bath and body works roomspray.

First I get strong, to me unpleasant matcha scent and then it goes to.... sardines? A can of sardines! That's it! Not something I'd like to put on myselt...

This was a surprise! I thought I’d really dislike this as I couldn’t imagine wanting to smell like a blueberry pancake but this is actually lovely. It opens with a realistic matcha note then you get sweetness of warm blueberry pancakes with a side of milk. It’s not a straightforward gourmand as there’s some muskiness too. I didn't care for it. I usually get my samples and just use them without revisiting the scent on here first to try to see what I smell. I do not like this, it's what I envision an Ikea to smell like, or a department store. As it goes, it smells like soily blueberries? I don't feel like I'm smelling any pancake or pistachio. I think the "green notes" really over took on me.

The notes are quite accurate. It’s very realistic matcha with pancakes. I’ve never smelled such a weird (but kind of nice?) combination of notes. I’ve also never experienced such a natural “blueberry pancake” note. It’s exactly what you’d expect, I’m just not sure I’d want to smell like this. It’s definitely an aesthetic scent and it’s very fun.

The blueberry note is beautiful, and is the most prominent note. I don't think this smells like matcha whatsoever, but there is an earthiness about it that comes off more like turmeric.

Grass mixed with fish on my skin 🥲 slightly nicer on my boyfriend, I think the blueberry is more prominent on him? Either way, not my favourite at all

Sweet matcha. A bit strange but unique as always from this brand. Love it!
