I was in search of something that I could layer with my diptyque philosykos edp, so I decided to give this one a shot - and it was sooo worth it! It opens super green, which I initially was thrown off by. I prefer philosykos edp over the edt because of its creaminess, so I didn't want anything that was more fig tree than fig. But it dries down to the creamiest, richest fig. The milk note does come forward quite a bit, but not too heavy or cloying - it's just right for summer! It's kind of like having the tastiest fig dessert after a beach day. I saw some people say the longevity wasn't great, but for me it lasted on my wrists even after taking a bath? I was super surprised, maybe it just sticks to my skin incredibly well. I kept catching wiffs of it all throughout the day, so the sillage is really great. Anyway, love this, will definitely wear this all summer.

I love this and the evolution of the scent. For me it opens as citrus, then I get a very strong marine note, almost like seaweed. Now this is my favorite part, because it really gives a realistic feeling of standing on the beach in the morning and taking a deep breath. It then turns sweet and subtle gourmand, but Im still getting hints of the other notes which cut through from time to time, making it really interesting and addictive. What I also love about Versatile Paris is the form of extrait, it is the perfect travel size and it lasts a whole day on my skin.

feels like salty, sandy skin that’s been baking in the sun all day. you can still smell a hint of sunscreen, but most of it has been washed off by the ocean. i get more warmth and creaminess than greenness. sweet but not overly so. as it dries i can detect some anise in the background which i don’t think i’ve smelled in a fragrance before! doesn’t project very far off the skin but really addicting to sniff. really tempted by the rollerball even though it’s not my first choice of delivery system.

I've never actually been physically turned on by a fragrance before this... It smells like lying on the bed on holidays in the south of france - your beautiful girlfriend is standing naked by an open window in some kind of gauzy floaty gown - the afternoon sun is kissing the windowsill, a warm salty summer breeze blowing through the masses of jasmine outside - the smell of salt just kissing the clean white linen bedsheets you're about to sink into together - i can not get enough of this

A very pleasant surprise, i'm not into sweet things but this one hit the spot. I'm from the south of France and it embodies its best parts. The ripe summer fig, the creamy tropezienne (a brioche stuffed with a blend of whipped cream and butter cream, completely decadent) and the aromatics from the anise, which clearly evokes pastis (southern digestive) The whole thing make it really addictive, and i will wear it with delight when i will go south during the holidays

I love this scent on me. My skin tends to make gourmand scents acrid, but the salt and green of the citruses perfectly counteracts this. During the dry down, the milk musk and fig really shine through, making the scent slightly less fresh but more suitable for the late afternoon/early summer evening. I adore this perfume, and its format makes it the perfect summer staple!! I’m so excited to wear it

This. It's like a mix of Philosykos and Une Pistache. My favorite out of the discovery set, or should I say the one I feel resembles something I could wear or pull off the most personally. But honestly, their entire collection is worth a sample. They've got an incredible lineup and I'm so happy to have found them. Fun fact, Brigitte Bardot made the Tropézienne famous!

Starts of very sharp, green, metalic, marine, unusual but intriguing and inviting. Dries down to more softer green-flower-marine scent. Absolutely beautiful and unique, refreshing, perfect for warmer days. Sillage is good, longetivity could be better. Still, very beautiful, completely unisex perfume.

A fresh, sweet summer day that has left me drinking my skin. Makes me feel like a princess frolicking through the sand barefoot. It's exciting, a scent that prompts interest and intrigue, definitely unique in a wonderful way.

Soft and sweet beach breeze in a bottle. I always get loads of compliments wearing this. A delicate scent that layers surprisingly well with the scent of my summer sunscreen.

A warm lactonic scent. A little dose of fig and a very nutty experience. 8/10.

Sampling Versatile Paris Sea, Sud & Sun, my final try from their current catalogue and discovery set. It has the makings of a fresh, green fig scent with aquatic touches, very similar in that construction to Dior Balade Sauvage (of the Privee collection, allegedly slated for discontinuation in the US market), so a nice alternative to the Dior, but not quite as accessible, a little quirkier with a little more of an animalic marine vibe, pivoting away from the citrus and fig a bit, albeit with a similar list of aspects. It’s very nicely done, though, and some who like Balade Sauvage may very well prefer this, and I’d recommend that everyone check it out anyway as it’s a neat concept that I enjoy more than I would’ve expected (prior to smelling Balade Sauvage)---figgy, green, aquatic. Like the rest of the line, this is priced at $55 for 15ml in extrait concentration, with rollerball application, sold via boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought the discovery set. 7 out of 10

This is such an intriguing line of fragrances; I was underwhelmed by the ones I expected to adore (still nothing I dislike, though), and absolutely fell for a couple that I thought I'd pass on. This one is sadly in the former camp. This is the original fragrance that drew me to explore this house's offerings in the first place, hoping to get that slight spicy, anis-y lactonic scent that sounded so interesting combined with the marine and fruity notes. Well, on my skin, it's all citrus, sea, salt, and nothing else whatsoever. (So much salt I started typing sal, sud & sun into the search bar lol) No milk, no anise, nothing to interest. It's still a pleasant scent, and I might at some point use up my sample, but it's quite linear and nice in a hygiene product kind of way, not what I'm usually looking for in a fragrance.

Initial wafts of realistic lemon and sea salt. I’m usually not a fan of either one as this combo usually results in a lemon pledge smell with my chemistry. Not this; It floats and lasts all day almost as fresh as if just applied. But then the musk and slightly lactonic undertones buoy this fragrance to another dimension. One where it’s a warm afternoon in Monte Rosa, after a swim, on the terrace overlooking the sea, sipping ice cold limoncello in the shade of a fig tree. Add to this the splendid feeling of the compliments I unfailingly receive when wearing Sea, Sud & Sun? -Well, it’s an absolute pleasure to wear this fragrance.

Versatile Paris Discovery Kit 3/7 Sea, Sud, and Sun | My favorite of the sampler set so far! It isn’t listed, but this sits squarely between a fig and neroli type scent. Maybe it’s the citrus and orange blossom that cuts the sweetness of the fig and makes it feel so fresh? In all honesty, I’m not a fan of anise, but it helps to lift the fig and give it some shape. I’m not able to pick up the rest of the notes, but it certainly has the most strength and longevity compared to the other oils from Versatile I’ve tried so far. I actually kept re-applying throughout the day because I enjoyed it so much :)

Opening is green, think fresh green vegetables. Then luckily the anis note cuts through and makes it more interesting... I can also detect sea salt and this combination, even though it sounds weird, smells really good and addictive. If it would last longer!! Pretty quickly it settles down to shy gourmand... This reminds me of seaside only during early morning hours while there's still some coolness from the night. Fresh yes, salty yes, sunny not really... Edit: Tested few times and dry down reminds me of palo santo wood. Definitely unexpected perfume experience.

I ordered just two decant samples from this brand, this being one of them. This reminded me a bit of DS&Durga Debaser a bit, with it's fig and milk notes. However Debaser is much sweeter and more coconutty, while this fragrance is sweet but it's tempered with aquatic floral notes. It's a really fresh, airy, sweet, green, creamy, summer scent. I was also surprised by the consistency of the Versatile Paris decants I received.. They seemed to be more oil based and I did notice that the longevity on this is quite good.

I have this and I like it, but my daughter LOVES it so.. unsurprisingly.. it has wandered off somewhere. Lol. This is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I do like the fig, the citrus and the aquatic notes, but the milk sometimes turns it a bit on my skin. I wear it.. but occasionally. Not a safe blind buy, but definitely worth grabbing the sample set and finding out because there are also some other amazing scents in there. :)

Unfortunately for me, Sea, Sun & Sud's "main accord" pyramid is absolutely right, and the sweetness rules them all. I adore the middle marine-anise combination and the citrusy-fig opening, but the sweetness of the drydown is already there, underneath it all, and once it takes over, it gets unbearable to me. If you enjoy sweet fragrances and want something unique for the summer, this might be the one for you.

My first impression was of fresh, sweet grass growing in a coastal area, followed by a creamy coconut note—contrary to the listed notes of this composition. Over time, I was able to detect ripe fig, and the whole scent is wrapped in an aura of an exotic holiday at an elegant, tranquil resort. The longevity is excellent, especially on fabric, and the sillage is rather intimate but noticeable.

ok wow i never thought i’d like a sweet gourmand scent but here we are. it’s “summer on a beach sipping on a creamy cocktail” in a bottle. since it’s an oil perfume, the performance is incredibly strong and a bit intimidating so i imagine 1 drop of this will go a long way (i definitely overdid it and now my house smells like a creamy dessert for 2 days haha) will revisit in the summer

Wouldn't be my first choice of a new perfume especially as I prefer sprays to avoid oil stains but it's quite nice! A friend told me they think it smells like mint chewing gum after being chewed for ages but that's probably the milk note

I ended up enjoying Sea, Sud & Sun after the unpleasant opening faded, which was a fizzy synthetic representation of a beach holiday. I was surprised when it landed in this wearable, pretty natural fig and ocean scent territory.

If you survive the weird pesto salad opening, you will be rewarded with a beautiful intense fig leaf drydown similar to Alluring Fig but without the vanilla. I wish it was a spray bottle.

I have bought the most recent discovery set from Versatile Paris recently I am very surprised that the notes on Fragrantica and the description made on the little note attached to the small 1ml bottle to be very and very correct (usually any description i see about a fragrance is pretty unaaccurate to what my nose feels) This smells like freshly opened figs on a tray on a very salty beach (like the black sea) with half a lemon and a glass of sweet milk next to them I like this scent but it is definetely not something i would ever wear since i dislike anything that smells lactonic (i dislike anything dairy in general ,which may be a factor as to why i dislike lactonic scents in general) As a final rating this is a 7.5/10 ,perfect description of what i wouldve gotten ,it is still very good ,i've applied it 3 hours ago and it still smells like the first 5 minutes after applying

WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE GONNA GET IS NOT NECESSARILY WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY GONNA GET. Ok, that was a lot of headline. But seriously, you think this is going to go a certain way and then it goes off the deep end immediately. To me, this got lost in translation. It doesn't quite know what it wants to be. In the opening it wants to be lactonic but somehow turns sour. Then in the next phase (about 15 minutes later), you think this might go gourmand like in a key lime pie kind of way....and then it doesn't. This scent really played too much with my feelings. It took me a long with its multiple personalities and I necessarily didn't sign up for that. All in all, this milk went a little sour. Not a blind buy.

An aquatic gourmand is a curiosity to me, as it bridges two fragrance genres for which I am most fussy, yet this one didn't repulse me as I had anticipated. The fig accord is quite lovely, actually, and the daring decision to include a milky element turns out to flatter the fig even more. However, as an oil, there can't help but to feel that this more the smell of a high-end tanning lotion than that of a proper fragrance. It's quite lovely, but it doesn't spark enthusiasm from me, while it might be just what someone who wants a beachy, summer accent would enjoy.

My expactiation was high, but I am not impressed in context of other Versatile scents. The citruses are sharp and disturbing at the opening. The fig could be prominent, but blossoms are setting it in the background. What is alluring, the salty aroma goes very well with the gourmand hint of tarte. It is piquant and balanced. The nougat is delight. This perfume has noticable Versatile DNA, so it is a safe choice. But to be honest, not the best one in portfolio.

I thought I'd like this one, but not so much. It reminds me of a marine Elephant (Zoologist). There is something stanky in both of them that I just can't get behind. And for a marine themed fragrance, I sure get a lot of vegetation. It's not terrible or anything but it is definitely my least favourite of them all, maybe minus God Bless Cola.

This was not what I expected. Without looking at the notes the name implies this is a sunny beachy scent but it’s actually a very green fig scent that reminds me a lot of philosykos. It’s still summery but it’s summer breeze vibes rather than sand in your toes and sunscreen. I am a fan of sea notes and a fan of this perfume

Opens with sunscreen, drys down to a figgy milk and cream dessert. It's a poolside gourmound with a touch of florals - not a huge fan of this. Powerful projection though.

Sea, Sud & Sun is the only ‘summery’ fragrance from the house of Versåtile, but unfortunately it’s not a scent I enjoy much. Does it accurately represent what the name suggests - no, it doesn’t. Instead it comes off smelling rather messy and cheap. What I struggle with here is the barrage of orange blossom which is far too excessive, alongside a sweet note of fig which is made milky and soapy from the orange blossom - these notes do not coexist very well. I suppose there is a hint of ‘the sea’, a wash of subtle saltiness, but it doesn’t save it from the messy body. This is one of my least favourites that this house has to offer, which is surprising considering how tame the notes are - there’s nothing weird or unusual here like their other fragrances, and yet it doesn’t call to me.

heavy on the orange blossom and fig (leaf). it's definitely milky but in a salty way, kind of like ayran. unfortunately, this mix doesn't really work for me, as the sharpness outweighs the creaminess the longer the scent develops on the skin.

Having spent all my childhood summers in the South of France, I find this scent overwhelmingly nostalgic and comforting. It captures the feeling of a warm summer day at the beach 🌞 Eating homemade baguette sandwiches and fresh fruit, sipping Orangina from glass bottles, bathing in the warm Mediterranean Sea, and reapplying Nivea sunscreen 🧴 As someone who sincerely dislikes aquatic scents, I was really hesitant to even sample this. But fortunately for me this is more of a musky milky fig with an undertone of salty beach 🌊 While it does lean sweet, I don't think this falls under the typical "gourmand" category. Anise adds an aromatic and savoury touch. After a few hours there's a tiny hint of coconut 🥥 Scent induced nostalgia is powerful 🥲 I may need a bottle...

this one was love at first roll... the moment it hits my skin, it blooms... very impressive indeed for a perfume oil. lactonic sweet figs and soft musky orange blossom. it’s unique yet easy to digest and easy to wear too. if you dont feel like it when you sniff from the bottle, try on your skin!

Lying on the beach, salty sea air, bit of brinyness, sun lotion on and you can smell the sweetness of the figs but also the dry green leaves from the fig tree somewhere behind you. Dry down is similar to Philosykos but this fragrance takes you on more of a journey. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes
