Suite 302

I really like this sexy smoky fragrance. I might love it after a few more hours. It definitely has some depth and IMO is blended really well. The tobacco and leather are pretty intense in the opening (avoid if you don’t enjoy). Give it a chance to mellow out! I get the spicy pepper kick that really lifts this perfume from leaning too heavy. Then floating in the background is that dark, velvety rose powdered by the violet. I don’t get much cherry, but it does come through about an hour in. It peaks through with a bit of tang and sweetness behind the main players of tobacco, leather and rose. And this isn’t a soft, dainty suede...it’s LEATHER! This is a cold weather stunner imho! I am excited to try the rest of her discovery kit. **EDIT** this should come w a warning...must like tobacco (I do but as reviewer below mentioned...it does not quit!!) **UPDATE** after drydown I may dare say 😬 this is FBW for me...damn it**

Incredible. This was, as many reviewers stated, quite pungent and too powerful at first (especially if you’re trying it on a tester). Wet, cloying, tobacco with a hint of cherry. Smells of a cigar that was left out in the rain. But my god.... On the skin, it’s incredible. A true masterpiece! It’s mature, sexy, powerful, elegant. I can’t even describe it. Everything that Chanel wanted to be but wasn’t because it’s too fixated on aldehydes and impressing the rich. This is truly spectacular on the skin. I’m buying myself a bottle. Evening scent for sure. Beast mode silage and longevity. It really makes me sad that so many people hate it. Makes me think they made the mistake of just spraying on the tester and not on their skin. Definitely worth it to spritz on yourself and see how it plays with your chemistry. Not a safe blind buy!

Yes on the Bal d' Afrique similarity. Same perfumer, plus Bal d' Afrique is one of Victoria's favorite fragrances and mine as well. Although Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire is stronger with the Cherry notes which I love... The Suite 302 is a favorite for me in this smoky yet sweetly layered evolving scent I even get pine that peeks in here and there on my skin, so wow there for sure and just am really loving this perfume and it is rightly so a true perfume instead of Bal d' Afrique's watery nature (yet still do enjoy it) Suite 302 offers a few "secrets" which I believe all good perfumes should... This is just purrrr fect and spot on for me right now especially in Winter and will be great throughout all seasons. This is a gorgeous creation. I do not understand so low rating her. This one is way better than TF tobacco vanile, which I couldn't stand but I find it similar, probably because of tobacco note. But this is nothing like TF. It does not have that cloging vanilla not. But I can smell patchouli in this one. Actually it reminds me of Van Cleef Moonlight patchouli a bit. Like a combination av Moonlight patchouli and TF lost cherry, both among my favorites. And White prominent tobacco not, especilly in the opening. Tobacco in this one is just beautifully done, because I do not like that note in perfumes because its havy sweetnes, and I do not like sweet and gourmand scents. Så this one is perfectly blended and totally unisex imo. Just beautiful.

I'm obsessed with Suite 302. I have smelled thousands of perfumes in my 50ish years on this planet, and I really can't think of another frag that this resembles. Kudos to Epinette for creating something unique. Obviously, you can draw a comparison to other tobacco frags, but Suite 302 is in a realm of its own. It's a beautiful dry, non-screechy tobacco for a long while. About 8 hours later, it dries down much sweeter, but not cloying. If you like no-chemical-notes, and smooth tobaccos, this is for you.

At first I was put off by the strong leather and tobacco. But then the cherry with the floral notes come to the surface along with something tangy and then it smells like you’re having an expensive cocktail in an expensive hotel bar. It’s sexy and intoxicating and intimate. It’s oh so chic. It certainly leans more masculine. I’m female, I don’t look like the model dressed in leather on the ad, but I intend to wear this and enjoy it. And my apartment no. is 302 so.

I absolutely love this perfume. Reminds me of Montana Parfum de peau that I wore to death in the late 1980’s. I bout this as part of the discovery set and this is the first one I tried and immediately bought a fb. It’s sensational, sexy and spicy. A noticeable tobacco note - blended to perfection. Divine. I Hope VB brings out bath and shower products to match. I could swim in this stuff. Could be my winter go too. Lovely.

I adore this fragrance and think it brilliant. Words fail me but if this fragrance were a song, it would be “You Know I’m No Good” by Amy Winehouse. Yeah, it’s like that song in fragrance form. If you don’t know that song, listen to it and then you’ll know what this perfume smells like.

One word: masterpice! Niche quality perfum that lasts and lasts. It transported me to 2008 when I was a student and was working part time as a room service at one of the fanciest hotels in Oslo. This is soooo weird!!! I just love this perfume. Bravo Jerome!!!! Masterfully done!

First spritz was so surprising as I wasn't expecting it to be so powerful and intoxicating. Sexy and smoky, it's got a bit of a punch, but softens after a while. The most gorgeous scent I've tried in a while.

Suite 302 is probably what I wished Tom Ford’s Fucking Fabulous smelled like. I find Suite 302 settles on me to be kinda soapy almost. I can definitely smell the leather, tobacco and Iris but I think the black cherry, rose and red pepper makes this a little more feminine and actually a wearable perfume on me. I’m wearing it right now, and I’m enjoying the scent quite a lot! Surprising because I didn’t like the scent on paper. Suite 302 definitely needs to be tested on the skin.

This perfume tells a story of waking up in a Parisian suite, Suite 302. The scent starts with the subtle aroma of tobacco, not overpowering, but reminiscent of the smell lingering on clothes and hair from the night before. Then, as if stepping into a shower, the fragrance unveils its creamy notes, reminding of using luxurious body cream. Even after freshening up, there’s a hint of the tobacco from the previous night. It is interesting combination of cream and tobacco notes.

This one is definitely too strong and gave me headaches. It lasts the whole day and more. Its a sexy masculine perfume more than anything. It gives this vibe of night out ending up in a 5 star hotels before having fun with your partner. It's weird to describe. I like it but also I don't. Very mixed feelings.

A smooth cherry tobacco. It’s a little smoky and dry yet sweetened from cherry. More of a flavored tobacco than a cherry juice. It’s both powdery and leathery in the base. The scent takes me to a jazz club with pipes being smoked in velvet booths.

I like this. Wish I loved it for the price. Definitely get the leather and tobacco. The violet and rose add a nice floral touch. Sadly I don't get the cherry at all. Overall it just feels slightly unfinished in some way.

I received a sample today, and it did not resonate with me! It smells like an older man’s cologne from the 90s or comparable to a candle with an oud. It does not smell luxurious or complex.

A little alarming in first spray - extremely pungent, smoky, and a bit grandmotherly imo. But, it does dry down into a sweeter, fruitier blend that seems to waft very nicely off skin. Still not really my preferred style of fragrance, but if the weather was cool and I was feeling adventurous, I'd be happy to try it out for an evening. In short, don't be scared off by the initial impression; it's surprisingly good.

I just can’t get past the strong tobacco opening on this one. It seems very masculine to me. I get the lovely cherry after dry down. Seems like an evening and/or cold weather scent. I suspect I would like it on a male. Projection and sillage are good. I don’t think I’m going to even get through my sample. Just not my style. I love the other two though!

To my nose, it was the worst one out of the 3. It is strong, dusty and sour. I definitely do not imagine a woman wearing it. To me, red pepper and leather stood out the most. All three are unisex, but this one is more manly. And very mature. Thought if you’re into it, it’s a good quality for the price.

@Kali85: thank you! That was driving me insane. You're correct that it's almost spot on with Byredo Biblioteque EDP. I think the leather not is slightly more prominent in Suite 302, but otherwise comparable (and Byredo is indeed cheaper).

The base notes dominate here, starting with a biast of tobacco and quickly drying down to a tobacco-leather soft sillage. I must admit, I'm bored of most tobacco notes now, and this is very forgettable. Leans masculine.

"...a leather fragrance for men and women..." Absolutely not. Men only. And, specifically, men who enjoy cigars for smoking or just the smell of them. This fragrance is heavy on tobacco, but to its credit, it's the right amount of sweet which makes it tolerable, sexy even. Would love smelling this on a man only if applied with a light hand. A heavy application would choke me out. It is STRONG.

I appreciate the effort to be niche and edgy but red pepper, leather and tobacco... ashtray with cherry liqueur. Reminds me of Cherry Punk which I equally... won’t ever purchase.

So much tobacco you smell like you are a smoker when you wear this. I’m not and hate the smell of cigarettes so I don’t like this at all.

If you like Black Lotus, this is a worse version of it that is more expensive.

Oooof, no no no. Listen, I’m not opposed to a tobacco fragrance, but it has to be done in just the right way for me to like it. Unfortunately, Suite 302 is...not it. I don’t like using the word “stink” in relation to a fragrance, but this one is almost at that point. It’s ashy, smoky, and artificially sweet. Smells like an ashtray. I dislike this so much I don’t even think I’d want to smell it on a man, either. I really love that Victoria Beckham was clearly trying to be a little more “out of the box” with her fragrance line, but the execution of this one wasn’t great.

Woof. No thank you. My cats won't come near me and my boyfriend said I smelled like someone who recently smoked, then sprayed themselves with perfume. It is STRONG tobacco and it does not settle down, it is very dominant and intense. For those who like tobacco scents, you may enjoy it, however I do not and this is definitely a more masculine fragrance. Good thing I got this as a small card sampler so I could try it out - It was my least favorite of the three new VB fragrances.

Eugh, I expected to like this based on the notes, but the leather comes across as very indolic, and the other notes barely come through at all. By far my least favorite of the trio

The vibe I get from this fragrance is fake leather sofa and cheap cigarettes. It’s horrid.

This is without a doubt the weirdest perfume I have ever smelled. Is this even wearable?

Everything I wanted Cherry Punk to be. Admittedly, that one is far closer to my vibe, in terms of image, marketing, story, accessibility... all that extra stuff. I do love VB's current minimalism, but as far as a transcendent spirit meant to elevate the material things, I am falling way short of the kind of luxurious poise and polished vivre that she sells loll. Be that as it may, I had zero problem connecting to this fragrance (and some of her others too!). There is a clear and distinct cherry that isn't too sweet... and more importantly it never goes weird. I have SO many problems with the cherry note. The Tom Fords do it, Cherry Punk does it, I would say a majority do this weird almost flat, unappealing savory thing at the end. What is that?? Anyway, this one does not! The tobacco and spice notes round this towards a sharper, unisex affair reminiscent of the earliest Tom Fords, which I loved. No one is going to call this fragrance fruity, but I certainly wouldn't say my impression is "ashtray" (there are far, far smokier scents if you DO like that sort of thing lol). I see people hated that. It might be down to expectations. Yes, it's not mellow at first, but it does calm down in a way that infuses a bit of easy edge to the luxury she's going for. I love that balance, it feels more *me*, but others might not relate to it in that way. Still worth a try!

This isn’t the typical scent profile that I go for, but I honestly really like this! It’s very pretty and suede like. I imagine this as a nice office scent for the woman that doesn’t like wearing the typical designer profile, sweet girly scents. This is very womanly and business professional. However, this is for the business professional that comes to work like everyday is a fashion show and you always see her with heels and her hair laid to perfection lol. I enjoy this fragrance! Victoria Beckham did a really nice job on her fragrances, I’m thoroughly impressed.

I get very strong Tom Ford vibes from the parfum, and I like the cherry note, however the tobacco is a bit too strong for me. Do you know what it's like when you spend your evening around the bonfire the whole night and the next day your clothes smell like smoke? It reminds me of that. I think TF fragrances are better balanced, so maybe once I was into this vibe I would just go for TF. I don't hate it, it is just a bit too smoky for my taste and not very subtle. Maybe smells a bit cheap? Which you definitely don't want considering the price point.

The initial inhalation of this fragrance was eye popping. Within seconds I gasped at the intense smokiness and leather charging through my olfactory system unapologetically. Intrigued, I self-consciously sprayed more and waited for others in the room to give a dirty look. If they did, it wouldn't matter, I was already addicted. The dry-down is soft with tiptoeing florals and pastel violets seducing a rose enveloped in black cherries. For some this fragrance is too bold for me it's la perfezione.

I expected this to be the more feminine one, it’s actually the more masculine one. All three have a more masculine vibe than feminine. Not saying a woman couldn’t pull them off, they are unisex, but lean more masculine. I get a strong leather violet from this. The dark cherry gives it a more feminine edge. It is somewhat dusty and musky, like an expensive hotel. Not a bad fragrance, but heavy on the leather and more masculine. This is great for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

I received a sample of this perfume and the second I sprayed it I I knew I had smelled something like that before. It took me a little while to figure it out because it wasn't a perfume, it was a candle: Byredo's Biblioteque. I smelled them side by side and indeed they are very similar. I never thought I'd recommend Byredo as a cheaper alternative to anything, but if you're interested in Suite 302, give Biblioteque a try first (assuming the perfume smells just like the candle).

Suite 302 by Victoria Beckham Beauty 1/5 First scent is dark musty leather. The tobacco note is very strong initially. The cherry note came out after a few minutes. It becomes a skin scent within ten minutes. Completely gone within an hour. Received a set of peel off tester samples for free of the three Victoria Beckham fragrances. I was hoping for the small sample sprays but not my luck.

This one is really nice. It’s unique in my opinion. I love the red pepper and the sweetness of the tobacco. I own the San ysidro dr. May need to grab this one too at some point. I Love that not one of these fragrances are sweet. Expensive, yes. I still enjoy them. Victoria did a good job. Update: I bought this one as well and I am really enjoying it. It’s amazing. Worth every penny

If you actually read the accompanying breathless marketing blurb ...(I know, it IS a big ask), you will learn that the note is 'red peppercorns' as in fully ripened Piper nigrum, ...so, in other words, red black pepper. Maybe someone on staff will change the note, or better yet, add a new one! ...probably not. I'd also like bold and italic buttons for the page comments, please.

This is a good fragrance- but it has been done a hundred times and is extortionately priced!!! This perfume can be found for £15 in any middle eastern store. Leather/tobocco base with black pepper and a non discript mild sweet note. Unisex - more masculine leaning The bottle is meh- and could have been more elegantly executed like the make up packaging. Overall meh

Hot hot damn! Roaring 20s vibes. Speakeasy with smoke filling the room and sweaty jazz. Dirty tobacco and cherry are dominant with an ashy presence of rose in the background. The cherry is drier rather than syrupy like a dried cherry granola bar. This is a winter night to remember. Without the energy to match it, this frag can wear YOU. Completely unisex imo.

Sprayed on my skin it’s like a shoe paste married jammed cherry. Sprayed on my clothes it’s like an old man’s tobacco pipe (and not an elegant cigar). Out of all the 3 VB small spray samples I bought, the SanYsidro Drive is the only one I’m keen on, but not enough to buy a full bottle, especially not with this price.

The smell of tobacco is so overwhelming at the start. So much so that you can’t really smell anything else. And it’s only about an hour in that the perfume starts to soften and you can smell something light and floral. But the smokiness prevails. I am not picking up any cherry notes. Not for me, I’m afraid.

I’ve been wearing this and loving it. Now that I’ve had it for a while I have to say that it reminds me of Paco Rabanne’s ultraviolet that I used to wear in the early 2000’s. I think it’s the violet and the red pepper. I haven’t loved a fragrance in a long time as much as I enjoy this one.

The opening of this scent is so erotic that it makes me somewhat horny. I would love to smell this on a woman. But.... The performance lacks heavily and becomes a skin scent after an hour or two. Still those first minutes are unbelievably sexy.

I've purchased all 3 of the new VBB Perfumes and this is my favourite (the other 2 are fab). Very sensual, sexy and luxurious. The smell is stunning and I'm getting lots of compliments wearing this. Lasts hours & hours.

To me this is very similar to Black Lotus from Floral Street, it has the same leather note - ashtray/cigarettes vibes, this is slightly softer and with more florals. Better than Blk Lotus, sweeter and more ladylike.

It’s good. It’s like Byredo Black Saffron. But it’s just too strong for me personally, it’s beast. Some people might appreciate that though.

Expected to loathe this n amazingly I actually like it. The dry down is where it really shines. Genuinely a little bit different.
