Vince Camuto Solare

Vince Camuto Solare is amazing. In short if you loved Ultra Zest, get this. It takes a good amount of Ultra Zest but has some Paco Rabanne 1 Million Cologne to it. For the price, it is not a question to buy it. Solare opens with mandarin orange, similar to 1 Million and 1 Million cologne, but it quickly turns into an orange creme accord. It has some spice with a slight cardamon. The pimento is barely there to my nose. The base is rather noticable through the orange creme note with a sweet cashmere and a pretty noticable musk note. Ironically, this does not have a true gourmand note, despite being really sweet but not cloyingly sweet. Solare has a really nice performance. It isn't a beast but it will hang with you for nearly 7 hours. It works best in summer for me but will also work in spring and warmer fall days. Good in offices, casual and date situations. Vince Camuto Solare is a scent that shouldn't be slept on. Solare is a really great subsitute for Ultra Zest. I came in a little too late for the Ultra Zest hype. This however, is a scent that lives up to that hype. Solare is worth a 8.2 from me and an instant love.

My Husband owns this, and when I smelled the cap on the bottle, it was an Aaaaaaah, YUM, this smells so good. I defiantly associate this with the warmth of my wonderful Husband, so I'll do my best to give an honest critique. The top is a nice zesty orange. It dries down into a warm spicy woody citrus. It smells very warm and inviting. Its very rich smelling for such a small amount of notes. This isn't so much for a man on the prowl, more a Patriarch that is confident and happy. For me as a Woman I love smelling this on my Husband when we embrace. It makes me feel taken care of and safe. On a side note I think the bottle is very pretty with the silver offset by the orange leather. Good Stuff! I'm kind of confused by the mixed/unhappy reviews.

Best orange creamsicle cologne out. This is my strongest projecting summer fragrance I get a good 10 hours on my skin and a solid 6/8 hours of good projection. I prefer this over Ultra zest and I get tons of compliments. one thing to keep in mind it only works in the summer in high heat at least for me on my skin. it doesn't project or last long at all on my skin if the temperature drops less than 70 degrees outside for whatever reason but great for an all-day or all-night summer fragrance. This is the orange creamsicle version of allure homme sport extreme Sent: 10/10 Projection: 8.5/10 Longevity: 10/10 Rating were based on summer use of this fragrance.

I really enjoy Vince Camuto Solare because it has a bright, uplifting scent that's perfect for warm weather. The fresh citrus and aromatic notes make it smell clean and energetic, while the woody base gives it a smooth, masculine finish. I find it easy to wear for casual outings or everyday use without ever becoming overpowering. For the price, I think Solare offers outstanding quality and is one of my favorite warm-weather fragrances.

An exceptional ORANGE type fragrance which is well done...not a beast but definitely not a lion cub either....id say its like a stallion...beautiful orange essence smell with other accords...it is a fragrance which lasts about 3 to 5hrs...longer on clothing...projects early in life but will leave you smelling amazing close up...a mild elegant lovely modest scent...8.6/1O SILAGE/LONGEVITY 7.O/1O IMHO ofcoarse!! goodday to you all !!!

I tested this at Belk when it first came out and even though I haven't purchased it, I think about it often. It smells how you would expect based on the bottle design and notes - a light, slightly spicy orange fragrance. Spicy in a penetrating way, if that makes sense, almost needle-like. That's what I always get from pimento. I really love this scent, it signifies energy and vitality.

absolutely love this. even if it's "for men", i find it to be unisex. this is perfect for warm/hot days- very fresh, light, and i find it to last around 4-6 hours on my skin.

Used to love this stuff back in 2016 or 2017 when I first got it. Now it’s only a like. The opening is very sweet Orange candy like orange but super synthetic. But once the initial blast starts to fade the Orange blends with the smooth cardamom. And the sillage is almost a fresh gourmand. It does kind of get you in the ultra zest ball park but not quite just almost. Ultra zest is spicy and zesty and more aromatic. Solare is very sweet and it gets smoother as it dries down. The best part is the mid and dry down. Women seem to like this a good deal. It’s a perfect fragrance for a cool spring day when the weather is nice and the wind is blowing. The sillage is the best part of the fragrance. Just a casual fragrance to put on when you’re out a dumb reach do to speak. Could be ok for office wear but may be too cloying if you overspray because the opening is very sweet and very synthetic. I gave this some time before I would write a review hoping it would change my opinion, but it is time. This opens with one of the best top note combinations of a spicy mandarin and is the reason I bought it. It is like heaven but it quickly loses it's magic and turns into something average at best. The Pimento comes through after a few minutes and is the only thing good I can say about this. VC fragrances always seem to have a rather complicated make up. I still wear it from time to time, but it can easily be knocked to under the sink with all the other duds. Overall, I can't say I like it or hate it. It has its moments but honestly, a bit disappointed.

As this stuff wore on, I really started to warm to it. Vince Camuto is not a brand I'm familiar with and having tried a few of the mens line I'd say they don't have anything particularly original or standout. I liked the warm, slightly powdered, musky, woods in the base underneath a happy, light hearted citrus and mandarin orange note. Clean and warm creating a lovely soft skin scent but it is just that a not very good performer. I liked the drydown the best though and if I saw this cheap I might buy as an inoffensive clean and functional scent.

I've smelled test strips twice and sampled on skin once. I get a pleasant fabric softener dryer sheet vibe with a zesty sweet orange scent that reminds me of those gummy orange wedges coated in sugar, but softened by the clean musk giving it that fabric softener character. Projection and longevity seem moderate. End result, I like it, but it hasn't impressed me enough to consider it a must have. I have many other scents I think I would wear over this.

For those who are planning to buy this thinking it's a 1to1 with Mugler's Ultra Zest, as a previous owner of Ultra Zest I can confirm they're close but to that level; Solare smells like Ultra Zest's opening from the top to the mid to the base of the fragrance. So if you like Ultra Zest's opening check out Vince Camuto Solare, you can over-spray without worrying about offending anyone due to how nice it smells. It's a strong 9/10 for me.

Solare served its purpose for me. It's a nice, but inoffensive orange based summer time scent. I often wore it to work and it garnered some compliments, but nothing extraordinary. This makes a decent gift and lasts a while. Scent: orange, light musk, and synthetic woods. Orange is 80% of this scent. Performance: average for an edt. 3-4 hours of decent behavior. Does well in the heat. Season: summer and spring. 2.5/5

I work at a Perfumania and we just recently got this fragrance and 9 out of 10 guys/girls have loved this fragrance. It smells amazing when you actually put it on and is our number 1 best seller almost company wide. All Vince Camuto fragrances are killing it! Smell 9/10 Longevity 8/10 AJoaquin

This fragrance is not bad. Interesting but not special! A nice blend of citrus spice and wood. Longevity about 3 to 4 hours before becoming a skin scent I wear it once in a while for something different however it very unlikely I would replace it when i finished the bottle.

The opening is quite nice but the drydown left me unimpressed. There are better orange-based fragrances out there for sure. I personally would go with Terre d' Hermes or John Varvatos Artisan instead. Scent: 5/10 Longevity: Moderate Sillage: Moderate Value: D Versatility: B

Soft, mildly spicy & mildly sweet scent of powdery mandarin. Smells musky, too. Not too fresh nor too woody; a spring scent. Nothing special but it's a comfortable wear. Reminds a little of one the Armani releases, I believe Armani Code. Like & pass.

A light version of Ultra zest! If UZ is to strong for you then go for this one. Smells wonderful! Like a orange cream cicle but not so sweet that it makes you sick. Along the lines of polo red as well. Plus the bottle looks better and a better price!

Good mainstream scent. Upbeat and pleasant; a well-done synthetic. I have the formulation from the recent 4-piece coffret set, which is a good value and an excellent way to live with a fragrance beyond a 2 ml trial vial.

Overall it's a decent fragrance. Unfortunately it is about as generic as it gets but it's also one of those fragrances that will get you a compliment or two. Overall, if 5/10 is average, I would give it a 6/10.

Nice summer and casual scent! Clean orange scent, Way better thant Thierry Mugler Pure Zest Cannot go wrong! 8/10 Fair longevity! Recommended in most case if you don't know what to wear

This is a good scent. Easy to wear and women love the way it smells. I used to wear it at work. Nothing special but it’s a good scent.

I just bought this one and trying it for the fist time. It has a sort of loud and long lasting opening, after one hour I am still smelling the opening notes, but is starting to change.. It got noticed by my coworker almost right on, I will need to put an update of how it performs along the day. But at first sniff I like it, although is not one of those nose catching essences that you will remember regardless. But lets see, to be continued... Update 08/18/16 I am wearing it today as I am wearing some orange shirt too and I slightly sprayed some on my shirt and I think it will work better for longevity, I was told right away: "I can smell you" in pleasant way when I got to work :-)

This would be a very decent orange creamsicle type scent if the performance wasn’t possibly the worst if ever experienced. Idk if it’s my skin chemistry but I could probably eat an orange creamsicle and have the scent of the popsicle project better and last longer. It’s atrocious. The scent itself is competently put together. Idk if my skin chemistry but yeah... 0 performance

--This is quite a nice, fresh, smooth fragrance. I would compare to a nice orange gelato. The opening is a not-too sweet tangerine or clementine. It has a hint of citrus but well balanced with the sweet tangerine and the spice from the cardamom. I could not notice the pimento.That only lasts about 15 minutes and then the cashmere wood and musk start to appear and it is just cozy, creamy and quite luxurious, I must say. --By the 30 mins mark, it becomes a skin scent and you will be hard pressed to smell it after 1 hr. --I go about 10 sprays and after 1 hour, I can't even detect it on my wrists. Seriously, completely gone!! --As for the scent, I can say that it is very unique, well-blended, very pleasing. I don't have anything like that in my small collection. --Longevity & Sillage: that's where it is a complete letdown. If you are planning on purchasing this, I beg you to just move on; skip it; save your money. --Although it is a nice scent, I regret buying it because it does not last past 1 hr. even after 10-15 sprays. I am not kidding you!. TOTAL BLIND BUY REGRET/REMORSE, whichever you fancy!

This is NOT an alternative to Ultra Zest. Don't make the same mistake I made by getting this scent thinking it would be - you'll be greatly disappointed. Fresh spicy opening with the pimento and then right away you get a not so vibrant mandarin orange with lots of musk. This scent is 50% musk for the entire scent life - this dulls out the other notes. Yes, later in the scent's life you do get a SLIGHT orange creamsicle vibe but, again, the musk dulls it down - it's not as pronounced or no way near as bold as it is in Ultra Zest. There are so many other inexpensive citrus-based scents on the market that do the citrus note real justice (Terre D'Hermes, Eau De Rochas, Bvlgari Aqua Amara, etc) - save your money and time by staying away from this one. I got this for cheap at TK Maxx and I am glad I did not pay more than the fifteen bucks or so. Every now and then I will have a smirk or a grin and spray fake mandarin on me for the hell of it. Don't get me wrong - it IS an upbeat scent. But I cannot take this stuff seriously. Which is when I wear it - when I don't take myself seriously. You can get much better value for your money.

Generic and boring and not what I expected at all. This reminds me of something that I might find in either Ross or TJMaxx. It's not offensive, but something to make you go meh.

I was given a 15 mL bottle by the salesperson while looking around. On paper, I liked the woodsy-spicy scent it had. When I tried it, it opened with a strong citrus scent that immediately got dominated by medicinal wood, which I really liked. After maybe 20 minutes, I got warm candied orange. Soon it became a a nice woody orange. Performance is not very good, but I still liked it. I wished the top note lasted more or the bottom note have projected better. It became a skin scent rather quickly. There is a hint of synthetic at the bottom that I don’t mind taken out. There are few occasions I could think of wearing this. It’s too orangey. It definitely is for a person who loves oranges, likes to wear orange or for a young kid. I think I can gift this to a 12 year old boy. It’s warm and saccharine — and a little happy. It’s great to maybe have, but won’t reach for it as much as others.

Citrus, Cardamom, Musk & Woods. I also get a Clary Sage Note but its not listed there. It's pretty straightforward. It smells very nice, but is not very unique at all. It would be hard not to like this unless you are very averse to Citrus. Longevity & Projection are weak, so don't expect to make your presence known in a room. Sillage is good for about 30 minutes. More of an intimate scent. You can get this for $30ish. For that price it's a bargain, as long as you don't have a huge collection. I got this fairly early on in my collecting so I'm glad I picked it up. Now, I'd probably skip it, since I have a huge collection. This is best worn in the warm months of the year and smells pretty unisex to my nose.

A 68 degree spring day. Head out the window not a care in the world type scent. Something the male lead in a bad indie movie would wear. Very light and inoffensive. Has that same fresh laundry/clothes drying outside in the breeze smell that Mont Blanc Individuel has. A tad feminine and definitely only for teenagers and very youthful looking young 20s. If you look like Randy Savage buy Yatagan or something. If you can get it for under $20 go for it. All that being said It's still only like the 4th best Camuto fragrance behind Virtu, Homme, Riviera. Edit: My sample smells 10x better than my 2015 bottle. The sample was the above and the old bottle is just a crappy "1 Million" sickly sweet nightmare.

This is much sweeter and less citrusy than the notes lead you to believe. It's long lasting but has almost no sillage or body after a short time, which is unfortunate because the original VC this is based on maintains a peppery punch. I wish the pimento came through more or at least had a darker orange base like Bvlgari Aqva Amara. I was left feeling meh about it, but the right nose will really enjoy this; it is a "fun" scent. It's unique enough, well-priced, and easy to find -- not bad for a blind buy.

The bright bottle caught my attention when I saw it for the first time; the name is great too. I immediately thought it would be an energetic & zesty take on the original, but unfortunately it doesn't have the pop I was hoping for. The pimento pepper comes through a bit but ultimately it all washes out into a soft/plain smell like VC Homme. In fairness, the other two versions are casual and safe so this complements them. Perhaps I got my hopes up, though I wonder why not be more bold?

Serge00271 hit the nail right on the head with his/her review below, leaving me with not much to add on my review. However, if I could contribute anything, I would simply say add a few dollars to what you would have spent on this fragrance, and buy something else. This fragrance is easily forgettable, and will be immediately demoted to the errands/around the house/weekend fragrance.

I was a bit reluctant to purchase at first. However if you know how to effectively overspray this is a Mass appealing "Compliment Getter" Fragrance, however it is still a compliment getter if you do not overspray but may not be as mass appealing if your skin chemistry causes it to sit closer to the skin. Great for spring and summer. Phenomenal scent for the price.

This is weirdly sweet despite what the notes are. It smells like a cross of coach platinum and polo red with a bit more apple. I love the smell I just wish it performed better. It lasts max 2 hours, 3-4 on clothes. I give the scent a 9/10 but the performance a 4/10.

This smells like the old orange flavored cough syrup that was around when I was kid. Not really a must have for me, but if you can get over the orange creamsicle smell (as a post before me mentioned) I guess it would be good in very warm weather.

I see quite a few votes agreeing this one reminds of Ultrared. As one who has both, I'd say how come? Ultrared is clearly centered around patchouli and sugar, while Solare is creamy buttery musk. The sweetness between the two is not comparable.

This is what Clinique Happy should have always been but never will be.... Soooo good on the skin. Scent strips do not do this one justice for sure! Most mens citruses are lemon or lime. This is much different from the typical path.

Tried this a month ago, it remind me of Ultra Zest by Mugler, its not as vibrant, but take away the ginger and mint in Ultra Zest, same concept. Mugler is much better and a little more exspensive. Its bottle worthy though!!

I received this as one of my samples from Debonair Scent. I have since cancelled my subscription. That is all I have to say about this cologne. See above and below and ignore any review that seems at all positive. -/-

Performance is lacking but this is one of the few fragrances I have that actually gets me compliments, oddly enough. Scent is an 8/10. Performance is a 6/10, maybe 4 hours and poof, it's nearly gone.

Subtle and smooth, rather unisex, easily shareable with your significant other. Somewhat similar to Boss In Motion (2002), that would be the closest comparison I know of.
