Ryokucha Eau de Parfum

I absolutely agree with phillball’s review below. It’s a very well constructed, fresh and easy to wear scent. It doesn’t reinvent any fragrance wheels but has that touch of class modern day eau de colognes have, absolutely gorgeous. Tea-like, zingy, zesty but still delicate thanks to the wood notes at the base, in one word: delicious ! If you have money to spend and don’t mind reapplying during the day, then this fragrance is for you. It is unfortunately way overpriced as are the other offerings from their « tea » line, however despite that I still feel I need to buy a full bottle just because of how exquisite this is. August update: I now own a full bottle and do not regret my choice. The sprayer is of very high quality (sprays a very fine mist, just like the morning dew they talk about in their marketing spiel), the packaging is just luxurious and the magnetic stopper fits perfectly. The scent is heavenly.

My favourite of Welton's impeccably classy tea line - for me, the mate is what makes it really special, with a specific, leafy scent-picture not often found anywhere else. Clean and lovely citrus up top and just the right amount of earthier, dustier, almost-warmer ambergris and cedar to give it some heft. Undeniably expensive for what it is, and a discreet performer, but that might be what gives it the overall upscale ambience - it's perceptibly a cut above its more budget-friendly alternatives like Arden Green Tea, and still performs better than pricy analogues like Armani The Yulong - though not half as strong as the mighty Wulong Cha. You'll feel impeccable, if money's no object. One for the true tea lovers - and tea is hard to do - so I give it a hefty thumbs up (though maybe with my little finger daintily extended outwards, as genteel ladies are meant to do.) Most refreshing.

A beautiful fragrance that reminds me of Bergamot 22, except this has a more pronounced grapefruit note in the top and an added tea note. But it still gives me that classy cologne style vibe just like the Le Labo. It’s not groundbreaking but I like this a lot. The notes are crystal clear with their citrus, woody and musky overtones. Expensive for what it is though with light silage, that sits close to the skin and average longevity but it's still a wonderful, bright, citrus, woody fragrance. Perfectly unisex too. Edit: I absolutely love this fragrance but I wished the performance was better. It’s so light and I’m continuously left wanting more! In fact, were performance better, this would be my summer signature fragrance.

I LOVE this scent profile. Easily an everyday/signature scent type thats easy to pull off around the house, going on errands, to the gym, the office or even a night out. This is a great fragrance if you aren’t trying to turn heads, but rather have a scent thats clean and refreshing with a green tea twist. The opening is juicy grapefruit/orange, and the dry down is a well blended tea/citrus freshie. Shame I get almost 0 projection even with overspraying. If this projected a bit more it would be worth the price to me, but being that it sits so close to skin, not so sure.

A fine and special perfume. I perceive it as unisex. The bottle is beautiful and the scent is special. A little expensive, but worth it. This and Narcotic are my favorites from the Welton range.
