40 Noeuds / XERJOFF - Monaco Exclusive It was created as a derivative of 40 Knots exclusively for the Monaco Xerjoff boutique, and was inspired by the rose garden dedicated to the late Princess Grace of Monaco. Just like 40 Knots, it is a member of the Join the Club collection, and is characterized by a specific slightly salty note. Although they have a similar name, they are distinguished by one wonderful, refined note of rose. The combination of woody, salty, marine, green and rose notes even seems a bit fruity to me, but only at times. I imagine this perfume as a spring-summer signature scent, which an individual can proudly wear during the day, as well as in the evening. It definitely falls somewhere between the sexes, so I can call it a unisex perfume without hesitation. All the time I feel a bubble of rose, greens, salt and wood around me. Very special and unique has an "X" factor 10/10

Completely agree with @AlexiostheGreat, I was just thinking about what that smelled like, as I knew I smelled something similar before. My best way to describe it is it takes that honey soaked salt note, turns down the sharpness of it, makes it more refined and more "Champagne-like" with the bit of fizz, and combines it with aroma from a distant rose and some sweet green notes. If 40 knots is someone on a yacht, 40 noeuds is someone standing on a balcony of a coastal hotel, with the saltwater breeze being brought to them by the coastal winds, combining with the smell of champagne and herbal/rose notes on the side.

I tried it in the Xerjoff boutique in Milan! I immediately recognized it as something with 40 Knots DNA - a woody, ambery, slightly salty fragrance. 40 Noeuds adds a rose to this, transforming this into something more suited for colder summer nights or a date night - a sweetened rose, almost jam-like. A different take on 40 Knots, and in my opinion, it's not redundant to own both (but you'll have to go to one of Xerjoff's boutiques to try/buy it.)

Bought it after I tested it several times...it lasts more than 10 hrs on my skin, it’s indeed a little bit woody, combined with marine/aquatic notes. I think it’s ideal for a summer evening, but also for spring-autumn normal days. As IAmStaka mentioned below, if you enjoy Accento ( also have this one), you’re also gonna enjoy this one...plus, I think it’s a better version of 40 Knots. 9/10

i really smell a rosy, dry champagne in this scent, its very luxurious and classy, exactly what you'd hope for in a monaco exclusive perfume.

Really like this and I find it even better compared to the original 40 Knots.

Overall, it switches between three facets: slightly sour rose water, a boozy pink feeling (like champagne or rosé wine), and a bar of white soap with rose. It's a delicate, soft scent while still being complex, with distinct but agreeable and contrasting facets running in parallel. The opening has salty and aquatic elements that contrast with the softer floral feel, but I don't notice them much in the mid phases. The final drydown reminds me of Alexandria II. It has a similar ambery, musky, woody feel, and that's the best part for me. That facet also occasionally appears during the mid phases. I can exaggerate a bit and say it's like a spring/summer flanker of Alexandria II, but not exactly. The longevity is good, although I don't think the sillage is particularly strong. I didn't experience any nose blindness or synthetic feel. I'm not saying it's full of natural ingredients, but it feels very high quality and not artificially boosted or adjusted. Five sprays were enough for all-day self-enjoyment, and when I hung the shirt until washing the next day, it still emitted a nice soft scent around it, mostly the ambery, musky, woody drydown with a light rose feel. It's not for everyone. For masculine wear, you need to be comfortable with florals, especially rose. For feminine wear, the mid phases would be a natural fit, while the opening and final drydown still lean masculine.

If you enjoy Accento, this might appeal to you as well. While the scents themselves aren't similar, both share the same strengths and weaknesses. The biggest advantage is its lightweight, versatile, care-free and inoffensive nature, making it easy to like. However, the main drawback is its fleeting presence, which might make it less memorable and certainly less impressive.

#1. This smells nothing like 40 Knots #2. Save your money and buy Intense Cafe. This is a more refined version, but not THAT much nicer. And intense cafe is stronger and longer lasting.

So it sounds interesting. If it was just a rebottling of the original I’d be like “meh”, but a fresher and rosier version of the original... sounds intriguing. 🤔

Un délicieux champagne à la rose ; pétillant, rafraîchissant, raffiné ! Une rose à la couleur de son nom, un rose incisif mais pas fuchsia, encore moins bonbon, définitivement pas une rose rouge.Une rose cueillie au matin, après la rosée mais une fois le jour levé, une rose ensoleillée. Ce n’est pas une rose trop prudente, timide et délicate, c’est une rose de fête, une rose de prestige. Et si flottant à la surface de votre coupe vous aviez un pétale cristallisé recouvert de sel et imbibé de champagne ? Vous resserviriez vous ? Moi pour sûr... Une rose aqueuse oui, mais avec une texture de plus à son arc, plus complexe que beaucoup d’autres sur le marché. Fragrance qui peut aussi bien être portée par un homme que par une femme... Une magnifique édition qui vaut bien qu’on y jette un snif!

It makes you imagine the spray of water hitting your face as you step off your yacht, carrying the scent of a rose champagne. The exclusive series perfumes from the Monaco boutique are truly incredible. This really whets my appetite to experience the other fragrances in the special collection. Even if you don't buy it, it’s definitely a perfume that must be experienced. It’s a perfect unisex fragrance, not overly masculine.
