Uden Overdose

EDIT: Very rarely do I feel compelled to return to a fragrance's page to change my review, but this is the exception. After selling my original bottle, I began to grow regrets. Especially as the weather got warmer and I began to wonder what this would behave like in the heat. I was able to find another bottle at a fair price and I gave this another chance. I VERY glad I did. I originally thought this would be too spicy and strong for the summer heat and air couldn't have been any further from the truth. The heat makes the citrus open absolutely shine, and this is a joy to wear throughout its spicy ginger/tobacco blossom mid and creamy amber drydown. This is extremely versatile, and can definitely be worn year round as a signature scent. Xerjoff found the perfect balance of including the Uden DNA for fans of Uden and adding new aspects to the fragrance to bring Uden to a whole new crowd. This isn't daring or challenging but it is a great fragrance to grab whenever and know you'll smell great for the day. Definitely an attention grabber from the masses, especially in the heat. The warm air really carries this scent and turns heads. Performance still isnt "beast mode" but I get a solid 8-10 hours from it. If you bought a bottle of this and sold it, or tried a sample and dismissed it, I urge you to give it another shot. Can't believe I almost dismissed this one, it will definitely be a regular in my rotation for years to come. I can't agree with the "generic" comments in the reviews on this one. This is definitely an improvement over the original in my eyes. The original Uden is buried under a spicy kick of ginger and a green/floral tobacco. The original Uden is definitely more evident in the sillage of this one, as the spiciness takes over when smelled from up close. This also performs better than the original, although still not necessarily at a level that I would consider an (overdose). This is definitely a crowd pleaser, but I've never understood why that would be considered a negative quality. Theres nothing on the designer counter that compares to this, even remotely, so I don't understand how anyone could accuse this of being cheap or generic. The Xerjoff quality is definitely there in both the mix and ingredients. Xerjoff tried to make a popular scent with this one, that's why its named Overdose. Not exactly going for the hardcore niche snob crowd with this release, but again I dont understand why anyone would consider smelling nice as a negative quality. The only negatives I get from this are that it isn't as versatile as the original because of the heavy kick of the spices, and that for some strange reason I go noseblind to it about 30 mins after applying. It performs well, and I receive compliments passed the 4 hour mark (above average) but I cant smell it for the life of me during a regular wear. Overall a solid release, albeit maybe not the game changer its being hyped to be. Definitely a nice addition to any collection though, and certainly different enough to warrant owning both this and the original. Will edit and update with my usual number rating system after further wearings.

You see, I really wanted to try Uden for years, but before I ever could, I acquired a bottle of Chanel's Allure Edition Blanche for a great price, and in light of reviews endorsing the similarities between it and Uden, I opted for Uden Overdose as I read it was different enough, but wanted to experience Xerjoff quality. This is my first Xerjoff bottle ever. So, this was a blind buy, and I have a few things to say about it: 1. The opening is very citrusy and sweet, and not special, but within about 10 minutes the fragrance starts to develop in a gorgeous and artistic manner. 2. This fragrance is all about the development and really takes you on a journey from opening to dry down. It is not linear, but rather a dynamic scent. 3. The smell IS NOT as "generic" as people make it out to be on other reviews. It is however, mass appealing. But mass appeal does not equal bad. 4. Incredibly versatile, all seasons, all occasions 5. Astounding quality, and longevity is awesome (8 hours on my skin) 6. Sillage is strong for about 4 hours before dropping off considerably on my skin, but the fragrance is still very apparent 7. The price is high for 50 ml. Its unreasonable.Had it been 100 ml, id say absolutely. 8. The scent has class, and its elegant. 9. If I could use 4 words to desecribe it id say, "Rich Citrus & Smooth Woods" even though I know there is no wood notes listed. 10. After this blind buy, I bought 3 sample sets from Xerjoff, because I was that impressed by the quality. On the way I have, Uden 40 Knots Richwood P.33 Commandante Italica Dolce Amalfi Mefisto Gentiluomo 1888 Renaissance Kobe Starlight Im fully expecting to be blown away by one or more of these. Do I recommend Uden Overdose? With regard to the scent, it is truly a wonderful experience. However it is indeed too expensive for 50 ml in my opinion. I dont think the scent profile qualifies for its price point at 50 ml. If you can get it for 120 USD or below, id say go for it.

This is really good. The citrus in the front is bright sparkling, zesty, natural and far from cleaning products. Amber brings some warmth, but not much, you can, maybe even should, still wear this in the summer. The ginger adds additional spicy, 'angry' lemony tones. Now that I think of it it reminds mo of Micallef's EdenFalls - with this zesty strong citrus, and the corriandner seed - the Xerjoff has some of the coriander seed sharpness, too. It's creamy, but not as creamy as Edition Blanche, and the sharpness and zesty aroma makes it more aromatic and strong than the mellow citrus from EB. The character of this fragrance comes really from the white florals/white tobacco flower. Without it it's just a strong citrus. It's hard to describe how the tobacco flower smells - it's like unsmoked cigarettes, but in a fluffy, white floral, light and airy way. Imagine jasmine had a note of unsmoked Marlboros. This smells a bit like a summer edition of Naxos - like Naxos aqua or cologne :D The thing is this is wildly overpriced. I don't care for luxury brand PR, I don't need a leather-stiched box, I don't want our meteorite with a certificate. I want a quality perfume in a decent bottle, that's it. The juice here, to be honest, smells pretty designer as it has lots of similarities to The Dreamer and Edition Blanche. For THAT kind of a price I want it all - performance, quality, best ingredients, uniqueness etc. For that pricetag I want 10h performance, 100ml bottle, and a bit more of character. Keep your expensive box and meteorite that I will see for the first 30 seconds and than yeet it somewhere in the attic.

Just ordered my bottle. Had been sampling the Uden and Uden Overdose offerings for a few weeks and decided that they are both fantastic. They do fill different roles, though. I tend to love anything in this style, whether it be sculpture, amyris homme, etc. Love this collection of notes and how they are assembled and blended here. After purchasing Uden, which I absolutely love, I couldn't help but wish I also had Overdose in my collection as I really enjoyed the gingery twist and added tartness it adds to the citric profile. Just an exceptional fragrance. So I ordered a bottle of Overdose and now I'm on to the MFK Amyris offerings. That aside, I think that to compare it to the dreamer is fair, but not necessary. Pretty much anyone who has spent ant time into fragrances to any serious degree has either owned or smelled it thus the likelihood that they will make a comparison or draw a distant similarity. This isn't the dreamer. Uden, is the pinnacle of its 'DNA style', perfected. And, as such, I believe that Uden overdose follows suit in its genre. Redundant to own both? Don't be ridiculous. They are two different fragrances. Not twins, but siblings a decade apart. I get a different wearing experience from each in its own way. On discounters, this can be found for a very reasonable price indeed. I'd happily pay retail for it, though, as I really gravitate towards this for my own personal taste.

Uden Overdose is an incredibly beautiful fragrance that performs excellently and has a great versatility. Uden Overdose smells really fresh and aromatic, with that zestiness and citrus (from the bergamot and lemon), fizziness, and slight spiciness (from the ginger). The amber also brings more warmth and slight powdery feeling. I can also smell a slight floral quality to it, which is probably from the tobacco blossom. It is just so pleasant to me. The performance is surprisingly good as I still can smell this fragrance after right around the 10-hour mark. The projection is great for the first hour or two, and it gets moderate in the next three hours before it becomes a strong skin scent. The whiff that I get in the air is so beautiful with this one. I think it is an awesome fragrance to wear in a spring, summer, or fall day. I didn't expect to love this fragrance so much, because I saw people saying it has a lot of similarities when compared to Versace The Dreamer. The thing is, I hate how that fragrance smells like. While I do get a tiny little similarity to The Dreamer, Uden Overdose doesn't smell like The Dreamer at all. It is safe to blind buy for me, and if you can get it for a right price, it'll be incredibly worth it.

I like this, more than the original Uden which I wouldn't get, they are fairly different scents though It's a sweet but fresh ambery & musky citrus scent with the tobacco blossom super nicely blended, and I am usually really not a fan of fairly present floral notes but here it works, it's always there but doesn't overpower the other notes. Leans masculine in my opinion. As for the ginger, it's not really something I associate with this as I smell it, I'd likely not guess it has ginger in it if I didn't know. I can see why some people could associate this with a designer fragrance off of an initial smell, but to me the blending just feels elevated, there's no designer fragrance I've used I can say hits exactly the same as this For a citrusy fragrance this has really good performance on me with 9ish hours with a nice scent bubble, using 4-5 sprays. The scent evolves nicely throughout the day, the fresh spicyness tones down and the amber/musk take a bit of a step forward, but throughout the whole day you still get the citrus + tobbaco blossom mix as well. I also don't really go nose blind to this, so it's a nice wear as I catch whiffs of it throughout the day

Without the intention of sounding like a broken record, but the urge of sharing and keeping it real with the people who genuinely follow and trust my opinions. Admittedly, once again, Xerjoff has blown me away with their newest release Overdose. Italian niche house Xerjoff has a very special way of formulating their citrus which makes them extra special, and the introduction of Uden Overdose is no exception, the magical blend reads on skin as the reincarnation of a romantic soul resting on the body of one of Xerjoff’s best seller around the globe “Uden” . The duality of bergamot and lemon is further enhanced in the introduction of the perfume by the incorporation of ginger and what I perceive as cardamom ,gently kissing the citrus cocktail. The composition quickly begins to warm up on skin, with dominant tobacco blossom carrying a captivating spicy floral aroma , all wrapped in the sensuality of tonka , amber and musk encapsulating the aqua crystalline citruses in a sweet and long lasting dry down. Overdose is mind blowing spectacular.

Uden Overdose vs Uden - wearing both right now the Open of UO is much brighter citrus and I like this opening better. Uden settles down much more quickly into the mid-notes. UO mid is also very bright with the zing of ginger and a flowery tobacco note, which to me I really enjoy this and this zing flowery scent lasts much longer than the mid of Uden. Supposedly both have coffee notes but I cannot detect them. Uden's mid is also incredible, and I detect mostly the sweet woody notes, maybe a very slight hint of rum but it is not prominent, Uden is a softer scent and I think where I am wearing them might determine which I would wear (club vs office). I enjoy both of the dry downs but UO went forever while Uden also lasted about 7 hours. Both Uden and Uden Overdose while going in slightly different directions are both outstanding fragrances overall. Finally, I had a few female friends tell me what they preferred and Uden Overdose was a unanimous favorite. I ended up purchasing Uden Overdose.

This was the triumph of my day. I live in a climate where nearly 9 months out of the year you can wear summer fragrances. Shame really, I normally tend to like the warm spicy type. I have grown to love these freshies or citrus based fragrances in the last two years. They had this in-store. Hidden behind the counter. When they mentioned it, I jumped at the chance to try. It has been on my radar from the notes and reviews. So started on card and immediately was impressed. The kicker...my wife also liked it. Seconds later on skin. Seconds after that, purchased. There were many options to choose from. This one just hit. I started the day wearing Renaissance. I can see some similarities but this one just kept pulling me back. It pains me because of the price. But hey, live a little. Great freshie. Looking forward to it a couple of times this year and certainly next year when the heat begins roaring back. Another successful Xerjoff purchase.

The ginger tobacco blossom mixed with the classic vanillay amber and musk from the mid to dry down, is amazing. It mixes with everything else going on in the background so beautifully, Once you think one part of the fragrance is gone as it transitions, it transforms and brings it back and creates different vibes throughout the life journey that will give you different experiences throughout the wear life. I blind bought this, I think it’s worthy, nothing screams complicated, but everything is very high quality and exceptionally blended, I haven’t smelled dreamer but I’ll say without a doubt the quality and experience would be know where close to this one though profile of scent may be the same, the quality would be very apparent. Could be slightly cheaper price wise I agree but you get a cool meteorite soo 😅. 8.5/10, only knock for me personally is just price, of course just my opinion and everyone is different

Someone said it is uninteresting and id have to disagree. From start to finish its a ride.. may not be a CRAZY rise but its a ride. Very bright and lemony in the beginning and its super prominent and projects insanely right off rip. Then it starts to dry down into this almost burnt like slightly sugary lemon.. if anyone is catholic and remembers palm sunday when they burn the palms into ash it has that ashy palm incense smell a bit with a squirt of photo realistic lemons. I do kinda get a gin and tonic or vodka soda lemon. But its an amazing scent. For me this one cracks top 10. Not only would this perform well during the day and a hot summer day or slightly cool fall day, itll perform in those evenings as well due to that incense kind of smell that comes through. Its really a great scent. You can find this fairly cheap I say if you can get your hands on this do so.

So I have both bottles of Uden Overdose that just arrived today and Lemon Mint by Mancera and immediately one had to go and it was the Lemon Mint. It’s really redundant to own both but Lemon Mint is more unisex to feminine leading with a lot of synthetics while Uden Overdose is more natural and more masculine leading. Lemon Mints opening is very screechy while Uden Overdose is very smooth. Other than that both openings are super similar. As it drys down tho that’s where the differences become quite dramatic. While Lemon Mint is quite linear of a scent, Uden is not. Ginger and Tobacco and hints of coffee makes this a masterpiece. Sure Lemon Mint’s longevity is almost double then of Uden Overdose. But you’re still gonna get your moneys worth with a 8-10hrs longevity. As well as its versatility, also a free meteorite so why not?

I've had this as a 2ml sample for the longest time and I remember when I first tried it on my hand it smelled too generic and not really unique or interesting. Well... that is until today when I actually tried it on me and wore it to work for the very first time, and fell totally in love. What a wonderful, Wonderful, I mean WONDERFUL scent. And it has got to be the longest lasting of all my perfumes, and I have a couple of the Chanel's Les Exclusifes and Dior's Collection Privée to compare. This beauty stayed on me for hours and hours, up to 12 hours easily and I kept getting whiffs of it thoughout the day and I kept falling falling for the creaminess, the spices and the tobacco. This is pure romance in a bottle. I need to get me a full bottle now, it's not cheap but I can clearly understand why.

This is the strongest eucalyptic citrus burst I have ever smelt. So it is an overdose of something indeed. Uden? Water (in Latvian)? Whatever that uden is, it's lemon rather, a sweet kind that doesn't exist. Is this the sweetness of tobacco blossom? This is so strong... Crystal Saffron is perhaps similar by strength. Some very green scents by Independents Warsaw are also similar by enormous strength: Red Absinthe, Cypress, Ultragreen. They were even so strong that I didn't dare to spray them on my hand because even on shirt they felt like they may just burn my skin (which they probably won't do). Uden Overdose has the same strength on hand and shirt. Many hours later after the citrus is mostly gone I can smell weak patchouli. Very nice experience.

I just purchased this at a discount. I find this to be a great fragrance that is very well blended and has decent performance, some people mention that the scent profile is a bit designer-ish but I think this is very well executed, it's non-linear ofcourse with the citrus opening but it evolves beautifully into a tobaco flower (not tobaco) and gingery spicy musk, probably suited to warmer weather. I would say this is extremely overpriced however, considering the price is only for 50ml, I could do without the marketing gimmick around packaging and the asteroid stuff. Xerjoff sometimes is trying too hard to be a luxury brand, so bottom line it's worth a buy at a discount.

I always wanted nuclear fragrances and I had allot of them but I wanted a summer fragrance but you don’t always need a nuclear fragrance I went first with Erba gold but then I smelled this it isn’t that strong it lasts long like 7-10 hours and that’s alright the Projectivity is nuclear for the first 2 hours and then it’s more calm more normal then it’s more like a skin scent for the 1 last hour and also it comes with fricking a meteorite I was lucky and Xerjoff accidentally put me 2 💀 Longevity 8.5/10 Projectivity 10/10 for the first hours 8/10 generally Smell 12.5/10 10/10 Just over spray like 10-12 sprays

I have mix feelings about this, some part of the scent is very addictive, but the synthetic ambroxan drydown keep me from liking it. Uden Overdose remind me original Chanel Allure Homme and D&G The One. Best part is the first few hours where ginger and tobacco blossom combo give an very addictive sillage. But after a while (once the ginger and tobacco note completely gone) I get a very sharp synthetic vibe which is over bearing, I believe it’s the Ambroxan. The performance is great, 8 to 10 hours. I like this over original Uden, yet somehow can’t fully appreciate due to the synthetic dry down.

This smells like homemade lemon bars to me, and that's not a bad thing at all. I can't lie, I'm a little obsessed with it. When I smell it, I feel inclined to keep confirming "yes, this is Italian perfumery." I do think that this would smell very attractive on a man. There is a mass appeal quality to it that makes this easy to wear (easy on the trigger with Xerjoffs; their beauty is more apparent when sprays are controlled). I'm not going to say that it's the most original--I mean it's a citrus scent; it's bound to remind you of something--but it's definitely a gorgeous one. 8.75-9/10

This scent is my first ever blind buy and I must say that I underestimated how amazing Xerjoff is with all their fragrances! Uden Overdose is by far my favorite of all the Xerjoff bottles I've had the pleasure of trying, I would even go as far to buy another bottle. The scent is definitely unisex but I'd say it leans more on the male side. Very noticeable citrus and amber scent, with even a little hint of honey (much like Naxos). I was lucky enough to get this bottle on discount, saving over $100 from the original price. The little meteor is an awesome add to the overall purchase.

Edit: I did som further investigation and yes it's real. Xerjoff is a brand that definitely gives something back to the costumers besides the amazing packaging. By the way this fragrance is one of my all-time favorite. Longevity, I get 12h from this, if I spray it on me on a late evening I can still smell it the next morning.

Uden and this don't smell all too similar to my nose. They're different experiences on skin. For me this is a burst of piercing sweetness from the citrus plus the tobacco blossom. The tobacco blossom, ginger, and lemon are almost intoxicating to my olfactory. As the citrus dissipates you're left some florals and a lot of ambery warmth, which I don't find amazing up close, but in the air it's incredible. Wouldn't say this is better than Uden; you're embarking on a different journey with this one. Great stuff.

Mmmmm got Uden Overdose & Renaissance to test & TBH to my nose I'm hard pressed to tell the difference! Perhaps Renaissance is more Orange but really they could be twins! I'm leaning slightly towards UO but not sure on the longevity but then arguing with myself whether to just ignore both & buy Naxos! Sweet citric vanilla is what I'm getting. I wouldn't say it's a powerhouse but I am enjoying the aroma.

A masterpiece from the house of Xerjoff. It is a citrus, spicy ginger fragrance with the perfect hint of coffee. Smells like a luxurious masculine classy fragrance. Doesnt remind me of LV imagination but has the same high quality luxurious smell. Longevity is good enough, around 6-7 hours. Projection is very good though and the compliment factor is absolutely insane. Overall for me this is a 10/10

Amazing fragrance. It has similarities with og Dreamer in the drydown but Uden Overdose is more like a much better summer version. Gives the upper class beachy vibes. Imagine spending the day at a marvellous beach in the summer, eating and drinking, swimming in the sea, and sunbathing in peace. It evokes such emotions. If you are looking for a rich summer vibes this can work very well.

WOW WOW WOW, another Xerjoff masterpiece, this has to be in my opinion one of the best and most sexy summer scents out there, it is very very masculine and sexy imo. Strong sillage, has very good performance for sure lasts 8hrs+ on skin and on clothes easy 12hrs+. It quickly became one of my favorites on the first try. 9.9/10 PERFECT FOR WARM WEATHER

I see some criticism about Uden Overdose being too crowd-pleasing, department store designer-like. I think there is a significant difference between Overdose and designer fragrances, even if there are slight similarities. Overdose is exquisitely blended; what a designer fragrance aspires to be, but cannot achieve.

Love it. It has the same primary top notes as vintage Guerlain Derby, so it immediately reminded me of it. Afterwards it takes a different route, but matches, actually exceeds it in quality, while maintaining the same vibe. If you have enjoyed the great scents of the past, you will like this.

I really like this but I'm surprised that there's no vanilla in this, possibly the tobacco leaf? I'm wrapped in this sweet cocoon, longevity seems good so far but this is first wear. Now will I add it to my list for FB ?

This is a fragrance that you don't simply smell, this is one you 'experience'. It's phenomenal, other worldly delicious. Buy a decant, then buy the whole bottle. Worth every penny.

opens up with musky and powdery with a little citres at the top, but dry down is like xerjoff p.33 sweet and pleasant scent, over all its crowd pleasing and long lasting.

This is the better and less synthetic version of Boss Bottled but with better performance and dry out. Very safe blind buy and ideal for daily use.

Smells like a gin and tonic with a slice of lemon. Not very sweet. An Interesting fragrance and a solid pick for a sophisticated summertime event.

Outstanding scent. Kind a less sweet Naxos. More masculine and more appropriate t for sunny weather. One of my top 5 Xerjoff fragrances.

I bought a decant of this and immediately gave it to my male friend. Smells amazing but its 100% masculine. Nothing unisex about this.

This is the night version of the original. Very sexy and warm. Unfortunately the performance is average

To begin, I get why some people bash this and others like original Uden for being too designer-esque, it is true this is a “simple” scent compared to some of their others and has similarities to other cheaper fragrances. I think the point is missed somewhat though that this does what those designers do but does it better with a smoother blend and lasts a hell of a long time. A good example is Uden original smells quite similar to Allure Blanche (I own both) but when the Blanche has gone Uden is still performing well, and for that entire time it is just better much like a 15 yo vs a 10 yo of the same Whisky perhaps. Yes its more expensive, but you are paying more for that extra bit of excellence over the basic theme. Anyway with that out the way this is a nice scent. It has the base dna of the original Uden but with what feels like to me a mix of Naxos in it too. The white floral and vanilla that Xerjoff does so well are amped and there is a tobacco note introduced so giving it a creamy tobacco vibe like Naxos has, over the top of what made Uden great. That said however, while this is really nice and not quite muddled I would say Uden and Naxos stand on their own as better fragrances than Overdose does. What they do is emphasize their best facets and are quite different fragrances, wheras the mix of them in Overdose is less of a solid direction so comes off a little more flat to me. Its versatility is good I would say, but not as good as having those two distinct ones. So, sample this one you might really like this mix but if you can eat the expense I would say getting Uden and/or Naxos would be a better choice over the long run.

Wow! Lovely scent - much more in your face than the original. Gobsmacked At the unnecessary complexity of the reviews here as well as comparison to House if Sillage 001 (a cinnamon bomb in its own league) though I get where this came from as there as a sweetness in the drydown a few hours in that has a vague like likeness - none the less completely different product which would be better compared to TF Lost Cherry, 777 Qom Chilom or Initio Side Effect - so please don’t use this as an indication The tobacco blossom is a vague complimentary note to me. Anyway, after the citrus burst the drydown with the slight ginger freshness on top of a vague sweet coffee mixed (I wonder if there is coffee in this but not listed) with musk and amber gives a slightly woody creamy feel somewhat reminiscent to me of Dolce Amalfi - which is more of a consistent Lemon Vanillic Wood. I really have to put nose to arm to pull the layers apart though. If anything this more closely resembles Creed Aventus which is brighter with the Pineapple and the woody base complimented with fresh ground nutmeg as opposed to the slightly muted fresh ginger here and the base here smelling like a whole nutmeg instead - I just tried both on each arm and after a few hours they are not far off each other bar the freshness in Aventus and the slightly sweeter base in Uden - also reminds me of Marina de Bourbon Prince. In all - much nicer than the original - the first few hours are somewhat exciting but beyond that it’s one of the few times I would go ‘meh’ to a Xerjoff.

I've found this offering from Xerjoff difficult to evaluate. It opens with the expected citrus of lemon and bergamot, but instead of smelling naturalistic, I sadly found it quite synthetic and harsh, with touches of burnt plastic. As a freshie for high-heat summer days, this would definitely not work for me, though it has been suggested specifically for evening wear. Fortunately, the slightly unpleasant introduction I experienced was short-lived, as within a couple of minutes a transition is underway. Ginger comes forward to replace the citrus, and the harshness of the opening begins to disappear. It's now smoky and mellow, although at this point still synthetic to my nose. For me, it takes another 30 minutes or so to settle down, and when it does, it is transformed by white floral notes and gentle musk, complemented by an underlying amber that gives it depth. For the next few hours, Uden Overdose is at its best and very wearable for dressed-up summer evenings out. It lasts a good eight hours on my skin and seems to project fairly well. Recived this today as a blind buy and i must say, its interesting. When you first spray it on your skin, it has this very minty fresh kind of smell? I know this fragrance has lemon in the opening but i must say that is one fresh lemon phew... After 1 minute it becomes warmer and more delicate, and the fresh minty dissapears. It then dries down to this beuatiful warm lemon flower (which sounds weird asf) but it is honestly done to perfection. it is blended well and its this perfect elegant but expensive smelling scent. But now to the price: For 100ml it will cost you around 350$ which is crazyyy for how simple of a smell it is. If i had to compare it to a fragrance it would be something like allure homme sport with lemon and bergamont. I bet u can find something that smells close to this for around 100$.. I know xerjoff is a luxery brand but holy the price for this one is wild. The only reason i got it was because i got it used for ultra cheap. Now ive probably been yapping a bit too much so heres a summary: - Warm, expensive smelling citrus and bergamont smell - Very overpriced for the smell - Fresh mint opening? If i would have to rate it i would rate it a 8,7/10

the original uden is a smash hit an is very likeable an popular. it is mainly citrus, vanilla, rum, an coffee. it is strong, versatile, an crowd pleasing. a great fragrance overall, where its only "weakneess" is being a tad designer-like === enter "uden overdose" a flanker to uden, name-wise, this sounds like an amped up uden. surprisingly, this is not the case the notes have changed. the worst thing is, it smells extremely designer-like. this overdose is a sweet, citrus, aromatic scent that smells generic an couldve come from a designer house. safe for work, crowd pleasing, an mass appeal. if you own the og uden, it would not be redundant to own uden overdose. however, if you own a ton of designers, it would be redundant to own uden overdose performance is solid. it will garner complements. it is versatile. it is safe for work. it is extremely designer-like. with its tag of $315 for 50ml, i honestly in good heart cannot recommend a blind buy, but plese sampel first if interested. it may remind you of department store designers already in your collection === score: 6.5/10 (price is not factored) buy/try/pass: pass (price is factored)

I will start with the statement that the perfumes from Xerjoff, like those from Roja Dove, have prohibitive prices most of the time. And somehow, this thing holds you back from exploring them as they should. If you manage to overcome this aspect, you are rewarded by knowing some exceptional niche perfumes. Uden Overdose is one of them. I will describe it without comparing it to the original Uden, which I have never smelled. UO doesn't have a monstrous projection, it doesn't knock you back, it doesn't enter a room in front of you, but it lasts for good hours with an aura that surrounds you pleasantly, intimately and warmly. Yes, it is a warm perfume. It doesn't resemble any other perfume I've tested so far. It is linear and not in a bad way. Its composition focuses on the ginger-amber-tobacco flower triangle, notes that are constantly felt from the first to the last fragrant breezes. In the opening and a good part of its evolution, this love triangle ☺️ is joined by bitter bergamot and aromatic lemon undertones (lemon peel, nothing sour or juicy). In dry down is sweet ,almost gourmand and i feel vanilla in it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

[Tested on skin] Uden Overdose opens with a burst of fresh yet spicy citrus. Within minutes, the ginger takes center stage. There's also a very mellow tobacco lingering, but the initial citrus "bomb" is quite strong and persistent. It comes close to a cleaning product smell, but fortunately, it doesn't quite cross that line for my nose. It's much fresher than the original Uden, almost like a sugar-free lemon candy—still sweet, but not overly so—with slight floral accords. After about 30 minutes, the ginger becomes more dominant but remains smooth, beautifully blended with the lemon and bergamot. The tobacco flower supports this bright, very smooth composition from the background. Overall, this is an incredibly high-quality citrus freshie without much complexity. The original Uden has more depth, which makes it more interesting. While I want to keep smelling both, the original Uden consistently keeps me more hooked. The drydown is nice: warm with tobacco and ginger, lightly musky, and a soft, lingering sweet amber.

Some people say it smells way different from the original Uden, but to me this comes across very similar. Uden is a complicated scent with a photorealistic lemon opening and a sweet boozy accord, flanked by vanilla and woods in the drydown. I find the opening here has a sparkling spiciness courtesy of the ginger, but otherwise it smells the same. The tobacco can only be smelled up close, otherwise it just lends a dryness to it not present in the OG. All in all, it's a less boozy and citric, more vanillic and woody Uden. A little more dry. Slight tweaks all around, but fundamentally the same scent. I find the performance slightly worse as well, though no means bad with ~3hr weak projection and 7-8hr longevity. I prefer Uden myself.
