Decadent Mimosa

Love love love this perfume. I've been looking for a good Mimosa perfume a long time after trying Jo Malone's Mimosa and Cardamom - and loving the mimosa notes and loathing the cardamom. I must admit I was an awful snob and originally dismissed this particular brand due to it's very cheap price point, but after being trying disappointed with Prada's Mimosa (nice scent, pathetic performace) I finally gave it a go. Boy was my assumption wrong! It had everything to £100 Prada scent had and more, it was sweeter, fresher and more vibrant, and although it's lasting power isn't brilliant, it beats it's more expensive counterpart. Not only has it fulfilled my yellow pom pom dreams but has quickly become a top favourite for me. Perfect for a hot summer day (the English kind - hot, stuffy and humid) to lighten the atmosphere. I'm sorry I was such a snob Yardley. Long may it not be discontinued.

I got this at Christmas as a gift from a friend. I love the smell of Mimosa and Violet and I normally wear Fragonard Belle de Grasse which is a lovely Mimosa scent so I wasn't sure about this one as Yardleys Perfumes tend to smell nothing like what they say it does. However it smells beautiful, although it does not last long on the skin (less than an hour) It does last a few hours if you spray it on your clothes. It does remind me of the Fragonard fragrance but maybe not as strong. I can also smell the violet. It is one you would probably wear in the spring and summer and maybe the autumn. I prefer a more spicy perfume in the winter. I will wear this but will probably get the Fragonard one when this runs out.

This was a nice surprise! I was looking for a substitute for my long time lost Pure desire de mimosa from YR, because I love the smell of mimosa... -This Decadent Mimosa is notting like it, but it smells very beautiful after all...:) Yes, there is some mimosa in it, but not so much, instead there is so much more going on, I think it's all the flowers, and I love it! And, I love the simple bottle as well, it is well done, it score 12 of 10 points, and the price - you will love that as well ;))

This one is like nothing else in my collection. Whenever I put it on, I wonder why I don't reach for it more, but I tend to reach for it in the springtime. You won't smell like everyone else when you wear this one, so I'm not sure if it is a safe blind buy. If you like powdery, soft florals and can get a sample, it's perfect for every day in the spring!

I’m not sure how close this approximates the smell of mimosa, but it captures the overall impact of the bloom, its intoxicating quality. The more I wear Decadent Mimosa, the more I like it. I feel like I quite “luxuriate” in this fragrance even though it’s not a luxury product. PS: after a couple of years of trying other perfumes by now, this one feels more purple than yellow. I think I smell the iris and violet more prominently, which is what I guess other people describe as a ‘carrot smell’.

If joy had a scent this would be it. Update: I sprayed it on my unused clothes & it lasted more than 2days with the spillage quite strong. I sprayed it once on my clothes & it was strong lasted all day... It's quite sweet too so really 1 spray is enough. Unique scent, highly recommended.
