Honeysuckle (Chevrefeuille)

Cheap and simple, fresh and light. Not true honeysuckle scent, but close enough to be enjoyable. Especially for this price.

I bought this after my positive experience with Yves Rocher's Rose Fraîche, which smells exactly like a fresh rose in a garden. I love the scent of honeysuckle, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Unfortunately, it smells NOTHING like honeysuckle, the only notes I get are sharp and extremely soapy. Not at all a wearable perfume for me, it gives me headaches. Very good as an air freshener though!

Sadly, this is nothing like the old Chèvrefeuille that had so many fans. The scent is weak, somewhat soapy, and most of all terribly plasticky. No honeysuckle here, just some soap and the bad smell of new plastic. Really disappointing from Yves Rocher, and even more as I literally grew up with the scent of Yves Rocher Chèvrefeuille, and now it's gone.

What did they make with this 2019 Chèvrefeuille version? Rancid onion on a sweaty skin. I am really sorry and apologize (it will perhaps work better on somebody else?) but I won’t ever wear this.

No honeysuckle notes! Smells too strong and synthetic, almost like a dishwashing liquid! Did I test a wrong bottle or is it really that? 4/10

Smell like a bar of soap and nothing more! No even close to honeysuckle.

This is a very nostalgic scent for me. I remember my mom loving it and telling me that when she was a girl, exploring France she smelt it at someones place and loved it ever since. When I was a little girl I did not like it. It smelled screechy and harsh. It is a very peculiar floral scent that I find hard to describe. It is fresh and maybe a tad citrusy and soapy but also sweet. Extremely distinctive. I bought it for sentimental reasons after my son was born and absolutely fell in love. Maybe post pregnancy hormones or just the warm summer air that worked magic or reformulation WHO KNOWS! But the fact that it still is in production after all these years is quite impressive.

Yes, I agree - it is the smell of a soap bar. It stays long and it is very suitable for layering and for people who have problems with headaches. It is fine for the day when you don't know what to wear.

This smells like clean soap. It is nice to spray after a morning shower in summer. Very fresh and basic. Works well for people who like layering it with other perfumes.

As other reviewers have said, this smells like a dishwashing liquid - fresh, sharp, soapy - and nothing like honeysuckle. Pass.

The whole (old) Eaux fraiche collection is discontinued (The Vert, Verveine, Muguet, Cerisier, Rose, Chevrefeuille).
